Starting Fresh in Anarchy Online... Anyone down to join?!
LFGame « General Discussion 4/20/12 11:58:59 AM
Count me in.
What classes are needed? I haven't played in a while so I am unfamiliar with what classes do what. I'm downloading it now. |

Well, how about we just each post a list of what we may be interested in and then choose from there?
Off the top of my head the following free games would interest me (they are in no particular order):
Fallen Earth Everquest 2 (Play on the Freeport server, lots of people still play there) Runes of Magic Dungeons and Dragons Online Lord of the Rings Star Trek Online Allods Online Forsaken World DC Universe Champions City of Heroes Realms Online |
|

I am in the same boat. Maybe we can just bounce between F2P MMOs until one catches our fancy.
I have played most of them and I am willing to try whatever. Have either of you played Allods Online? I had a lot of fun with that one for a long time and I played solo. Just a suggestion though. I am up for anything. |

Major annoyance - Outleveling your story
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 1/23/12 8:50:35 PM
This is why I curently have taken a few days off of playing SWTOR. I agree with the OP regarding the linear and fairly constricting method of leveling. I love the space combat but I stopped doing it so that this issue doesn't get worse.
I don't have a viable solution to fix it but I also am not paid to have one. |

Is it possible to resurrect a MMO?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 6/02/11 12:04:41 AM
I would be all over DAoC if they would update the UI. The outdated graphics don't bother me much at all but the clunky UI with all of the slash commands is just extremely outdated. I actually reactivated my account for a month about 6 months ago and it was still pretty damn fun with the exception of what I just pointed out. |

I would also like one please.

Man, gender locked classes? Maybe I'm weird but I HATE it when games do that. I have stopped playing some decent games here and there just for that reason. Is it really that hard to create a male and female model for each class? |
|
Originally posted by Alcuin I have been doing the same thing with my Druid. I am an Artificer and have also been working the diplomat side. If you actually stop and read what is happening the story is pretty damn good.
So far I can't wait to get rolling on Tuesday. |

What would be an awsome new IP to explore for a MMORPG
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 10/02/10 8:00:51 PM
Cyberpunk 2020 and Firefly would be my choice.
I love the more gritty settings that could possibly happen sometime in the near future. CP2020 is probably my favorite setting in any genre period. |

Humongoe Druid
I am not a roleplayer and I will only be able to play with the group until sometime in the beginning of January. I'll be headed back to Afghanistan then.
I chose a DPS class so that I can be easily replaced if needed. Hopefully this is OK with everyone else.
EDIT: I made a druid and was extremely impressed with their versatility. Scratch the ranger and slot me as a druid please. |

Originally posted by pmn03 If you like the Psi I would go with that. They can lock down several mobs at once with CC and the phantom pet thing. On top of that they have some of the best caster support buffs that I know of. At least at level 25. |

The Ranger has been created. Name is Humongoe. |

The Disciple is an amazing class in both design and play. Nothing like ninja kicking bad guys to make the good guys feel better. Hahah |

Very cool. I am in. I would like to play a DPS (Ranger) if possible.
This game has always fascinated me but I can never find a regular group of folks to play with. If a Ranger isn't cool I will go with something else a little more supportive. As I am not too versed on all the class capabilities (highest I have is a 33 rogue and I played him at release) I would not really know what classes are better in a group environment but would be willing to play just about anything. Looks like the tank and healer roles are filled so I will DPS or support.

Going to give this game one last shot.
General Discussion « Vanguard: Saga of Heroes 9/12/10 7:47:41 PM
I will gladly join you. I have a few characters but will be willing to play whatever the group needs. I have always liked this game but the low population stopped me from coming back. The new server merge is what this game needed I think.
Now to convince someone to actively develop the game and things will be good to go. ;) |

Your favorite character you ever rolled?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 7/18/10 1:10:51 AM
Out of them all I would have to say my polearm spec Armsman in DAoC. Nothin like slamming it down on a Lurikeens face, obliterating him in one hit. Those were the times baby. I can throw a football over those mountains too.... |

That's another idea I hadn't thought of. Distinct classes all cause distinct play styles and will have a differing game experience. I eventually make one class type in every MMO. More options is always good. |
|
|
That would really depend on your overall goal with the game design I think. From what I have seen you essentially want all of your classes to be hybrids. You could really still throw the support classes in there and still maintain that idea. The only difference is you would have to throw them a bone so that they benefit in some way by having the support aspects as a primary skill set. |
