Let's say, no level

You start off with some skill and you can buy more, or maybe upgrade them with loot of cash )training with a teacher)

you've got raid to get better armor and raise some of your stat

you could have pvp, wich could give some reward, like cash for training, or gear.

soo, you got to keep the character advancement, but with leaving behind leveling. The levelign process replaced itemization. But you still got the training thing with trainer to raise skill, not lvl.

It might end up finishing to look like Monster hunter with a bit more stuff ;)

Seriously .. can't say much ... It's probably how I feel right now or like ... I want to play, but I'm not even sure I will be able to get into the party ;) . Having the fun, been out in a corner for too much time ;)

But that is a secondary issue.  If I was doing RvR and just occasionally doing a scenario, it would be fine.  The problem is, as you stated.. it's just so much easier to get exp by doing scenarios that most players are taking the easy route.

The need to nerf scenarios, merge servers ( to insure peopel in the rvr areas) and get rid of the 'que anywhere' feature of scenarios.   As it is now, you have to run across a map to the RvR area only to find it empty.. or you can stand anywhere and que for a scenario and be guaranteed some fighting in a reasonable amount of time.

Just want to say ... WoW BG and WAR scenario are not meant to be the same thing. WAR is focused on War effort, and, war is mainly lot of people battling for something, at least, in these kind of world. And WoW bg are more like skirmish to get something the other possess without hurting him or us too much.

In other word, WAR = Zerg, WoW lil group battling over something.

I forgot to say, I was one of the guys that trust the company and .. kind of regret it. If they finish the game someday, all the people who pre-order, and got charged (like me) will have a lifetime account in the game. Now, time to see if it's going to happen. I'm still waiting news from this game

For what I played ... and .. after playing WAR and WoW

This game was not soo bad :P

What I mean is : The game mechanic seem right, no lvl, only skill, and it was kind of nice to grind skill and not exp for level. But, in the end, it's all the same, kill amount of X creature to get more powerfull !

But ... that game had potential, now .. AoC got more feature, not skill, but got all the same feature +

Oh, true, they were perma death and family feature in Mourning, but it wasn't done, it was not planned for release at that time, wich seem pretty bad since it was the best thing for the game, fresh feature, like death from aging, then you need to have child that will hold some of your skill.

I'm giving another try to WAR.

Rerolled a new toon, Destruction this time, was a bit funner, and at least this time I've got some scenario. I tried for about 5h on my other server and never got on one, first 20min got one run, was hard a a low level without any skill ;)

Soo far, I've played lots of mmorpg.

Recently, I've tried WAR and AoC

both got the same value for me 7.5/10 ... Good, but not enough. Both got good point and bad one. Both doesn't give make me addict and leave me a bleh feeling.

Now, I'm really thinking of resubbing WoW, I love playing my Troll priest there, and, soo far, WoW got the funnest Raid I've played. Lotro wasn't far from these, but the reward in lotro are meaningless. Raid are fun, but not as fun as WoW.

the fact is, I've got a lifetime account of lotro, and I'm still disgust about Blizzard ways, taking soo much money from people and give soo less in return. Gooddamn, they got over 100million (probably more closer to 200m) per month and they can make an free expansion, WTH ! Turbine gave hell a lot of content before making us pay for more, and even, the expansion is as big as the game was at release.

But still, I've got some strange feeling that make me wonder, should I got play WoW again, do some nice raid and .. see the new content coming soon or should I try to deleted every tinny part of WoW in my memory .... I'm all confuse ...

I still figthing to know if I should buy and try or leave it by. I've played the beta till Rank3, got bored. but didn't tried another class. Should I give it another try or leave it ?

Is the gameplay getting better past those rank ?

Is there crafting ?

what's the end game content ? only RvR ? for what ? any reward ?

I don't want to compare WoW and WAR. Like someone said, their both different, WoW is way more pve oriented.

My point was, I couldn't go past the first few level, the game felt too bad for me. But it's like this in most game. But, those game always have something to hook me up, most of the time, the first 10 level you look everywhere and like the graphique. In war, I didn't like them, I mostly hate them, animation, everything was dull to me.

I'm currently a Lotro player, not a WoW. I've played AoC on full pvp server, I had a lot of fun. But, WAR is not what it should be from my point of view (For the first level)

BUT, like I said earlier, and I keep saying, I will need to give it another try, maybe at release, maybe thie weekend before it release. But, for now, it's ain't a game a would spend a buck on it.

That's true that I didn't tried the game fully. I couldn't go past lvl 4 or soo, I was too bored, I wasn't hoocked at all.

As I said before, I will try it a bit more when I got time, but soo far, I won't buy the game, and I found it pretty boring, and all I saw disapointed me, BUT, I haven't tried 80% of it, only that, first lvl are hell, boring, stupid ...
If they need to work on something, it's their first few level, they need to make them more appealing.

I've played 2 hour or soo. Didn't do much. Got some lag and bad performance (quadcore, with a GTX8800) But my HD might be too full. Need to look at this.

That's true, Graph are terrible. Gameplay seem weird a first

I haven't done much, but I might still try to find a bit more after reading those post. It's true, the game is PRETTY boring at first, but, a lot of other mmo are hard to get in at first (near no skill, nothing much to do but grind quest and mobs)

But, so far, WAR didn't hold my attention, I'm playing lotro, and I probably keep playing it. (better graph, nice community)

They just copie a part of Lotro Deeds system but forgot to add the little benefit we get from finishing a deeds, like having traits !

I thought it was a big joke. Got a friend of mine who keep saying it won't ever happen. Wonder if he will say the same after I show him this link

AoC isn't bad .. just need more stuff to make it appealing.
