Yea I got the email, but I couldn't log in either account is inactive, I looked all over to see if there was something I was missing and there wasn't. I just resubbed since I was going to go back anyways. The whole xp requirements has been revamped so if you kill something you gain quite a few lvls till it evens out, I was lvl 21 and I gained 3 lvls now I am all evened out. I don't think I get the bonus XP, but oh well. I don't need things handed to me! Would have been cool though.

Oh MMORPG fans, what has happened to us? We have been so spoiled with carebear games and easy to play games that we all forgot how a grind was normal on some of the best MMO's ever released. Why does everyone want the game to be so easy and achievable? I remember the days of UO where you had to tame all day to get a few more % into your skill and it went up in .1 increments, just to get a white dragon tamed so you could have a pet or get a mare. Everyone complains about the grind, what has happened to the pride of having a bad ass account that you worked your ass off for. I personally don't like grinding either, but I remember the days where being legendary in your skill was something to be proud of, now everyone wants it in a few weeks of playing. Say what you will, but everyone who knows what I am talking about, knows the truth!

I am not trying to read anything into it.  But it makes a difference if you are trying to get this game and are a huge fanboy of it.  As opposed to just not interested in any MMO right now and are just looking for something.

 

I will not buy this game.  It is just not what I am looking for.  B ut I look a review of a game and make my own decision on it's validity. (Both the review and the game)  I don't see a reason to post like what you posted other than being a fanboy or someone looking to start something.  In other words, why are you posting your opinion of "his" review if you don't care about the game?

Yes I am an MMO fan not specific but I hope this game gets better I never said the game is great I never said it was bad just that this review is horrible and the fact he stated because of not being able to macro now even makes this more of a bogus biased review. Just like the other reply I think it shows your lack of patience and I bet you do this commonly in games period, nothing particular to MMO's only. Although this might be different in an MMO, I am fully open to it. I was discouraged about Fallout 3 being FPS but after I started playing it I loved the game I know I could go into 3rd person view, but I didn't the game was much better in first person. I think MO coming out with a FPS MMO is a great idea it is different and I think that is what we need, something different. I have read about the game and it sounds like it is going to be great, I cant wait!

I am actually coming back right now, I just resubbed and I am downloading all updates now. Almost done too!

Ill tell you that I would rather pay $15 /month then $100 every weekend going out to the bars. An MMO can save you $385 or at least for me(Wife and me). On occasion I have to go out I can't just sit here and play, but I still pay.

At first I agree'd with this idea on making sure they don't have issues by overloading the servers, but now I think this has gone on to long they have plenty of people who want to get in, why not open more servers. This is just pure lack of professionalism at its best. I hope this isn't what we would expect in the future, but you can't help but think "Adventurine" doesn't have a clue on how to release a product. You can have a bad launch which is expected, but this takes the cake.

Nope can't even open the page. It says the product is european release, has anyone from the US even been able to get it besides a preorder? It seems like they filter out IP's based on location, but I could be wrong!

Just like in real life there are consequences for your actions. Being attacked by guard towers can be one of them.  You can still do your business... you simply need to compensate for the consequences.

 

for those unable to grasp the concept let me give you a scenario:

You are not prevented from cheating on your wife/girlfriend. She is not safe from your adultery. However, if you commit adultery you may have to pay the concequences.  If you do it while someone who looks out for her is watching, then you either a moron or you are willing to endure the consequences.

I have been watching this game for years as many other have, I do want to try this game, well because I try every MMO that has striked an interest in my brain. I have lost out on most that I have tried because I didn't like the game and well that is part of spending money sometimes you are completely happy with how you spent it on and other times you regret wasting money. I'll stop before I go on a tangent, but the main point for me is  I am frustrated that I don't have the option to buy this game, but I do respect them for not massively over loading there servers just to make a few bucks more and risk killing the game before it ever started. At least with the population they have now it is managable and they can make the servers stable for the players who preordered the game, because well they are true DF followers and they deserve it. Anyways I hope in the near future they get all the bugs solved and they are able to get this game completely live to the masses who want to play. I am one of them!

This is a game I have been following for a long time and I wanted to play it, but I can't looks like there is no way to get this game. After launch and there is no way to buy this game, what kind of launch is that? Also there website looks exactly the same as always. Anyone that isn't a hater just give me a normal answer, I am not looking for a stupid war thread of the fans and trolls.

The skill system is supposed to be something like UO, so if you have played UO not all characters are the same, you can't just max out all the skills. I would think that is it similar to this in that aspect.
