I just happened to go to mmo-champion.com and see that they had on overview of what Cataclysm might have in it. All i can say is:

WOW am i glad i quit playing!!!!

Now befor u decide to turn me into a troll or flame me about this: I like WoW but the casual game its turning into is ruining the game and so is the PvP. So yes i quit.

The proposed class and race combinations are ridiculous to suggest a Tauren Paladin, a Dwarf Shaman, and NE Mage. the other class/race combinations aren't that bad though, but i do think having goblin and worgen as playable races is stupid i mean goblins i can see, worgens not so much unless u have a human form for in town and like a 'Attack form' to turn u into a worgen when in combat but i just wanted to see what other thought about the speculation on mmo-champion.

Withe the release of patch 3.2, which turned WoW from semi-casual to full on casual, this game has started to drop down the hill, not that it already hasn't been sliding for the past couple years anyway. Plus with blizz putting out a new completely different MMO over the next few years there will be very few players in WoW left. After Icecrown comes out in a few months by the looks of it, most of the known lore in the Warcraft universe(Up to WC3 basically) is out the window and you have to start creating more story like they did with all the books of Star Wars you see out there that happen after the ep. 6. So do i think this list is a little off??? Yes. Do i completley disagree??? eh i just think some of the games should be shifted into different positions and i also think that WoW should not be number 1 nor do i think it will STILL be the top MMO in 2012 because of the changes that are taking place in game now and the New MMO on the way(With most of Original team from WoW when it started, are on board). Most likely Blizz's New MMO will be No.1 if anything.

I also think Aion will be more popular than what most ppl think it will be. Now b4 anyone jumps on me about being an Aion fanboy trust me im not, id love to try it out, but from what i hear from ppl in beta they are really impressed and i think jsut by word of mouth the game will be a lot bigger than what this list implies, but then again you never can tell about how an MMO will work out among the players. Now on FF XIV, yeah that game will obviously be huge because a lot of ppl love the FF universe, still its just not one franchise i never enjoyed very much, i kept trying to find a FF game i liked but it is just not my style of play. But, anyway thats just my take on this list.

Fire Spartan

Dark Tempest

Warstar Avenger

Warstar Wrath

Captain Pantsblaster

Most CE's have never really been worth it to me so i wont be getting it. and +10 sec more wings not really important to me

what you don't know is that the title you get is " [Insert Char Name],  Waster of money "  then commence all the "Doh!!!"' 's

Well i guess if i wanted my toon to look like pretty boy i'd go elyos.....so Asmodians it is!!!

Agricola would you please shut up before i recreate some replicators and sneak some onto a few of your Ha'tak's???

I thought this game was gonna be great, but once i heard about all the PVP rewards and al lthe PVP u can do in the game you're gonna run into the same thing that i hate in WoW, balancing the powers out for certain "classes" or w/e they're gonna call em i havent checked to see if its like CoH, because of al lthe "whiner-babies" who are like "well this power is better than this, it shouldn't be...blah..blah..blah" and then they site some reference from some comic book they read  and just the whole PvP thing in this game has turned me off to CO.

I PvP only when i want to its not my favorite thing i really only like to play games that have a rich PvE content but don't focus on PvP that much, but still have PvP options. Of course if i play this game im sure i will still go around blowing other ppl up but i think also some ppl will only PvP and grief ppl trying to lvl or do PvE content.....i think we've run into a problem here with Cryptic and their view of what they want to make MMO's into.

So ONLY smugglers can smuggle for the Republic? and ONLY Sith can be BH's?  Hummmmm Can we say Bioware is already screwing the pooch on this one..  Both classes have NO loyalty or alligance to either side.. And are Smugglers actually smuggling anything, or are they just another dps class that uses "cover".... lmaooo   OH  and BIOWARE.. LISTEN UP..

"HOW damn ICONIC is it to have an arrow on your screen to tell you, as a smuggler, where the best cover position is?"

I about pissed myself laughing at your contradictary logic and statements..  ROFPMSLMAO...... lol

I'll have to agree BH's and Smugglers have no allegiance and im sure smugglers will be a "cover" class and im sure there will be a lot of them running around but you also have to look at how MMO's always are built, 2 sides, no middle faction, because if there were middle factions that could interact with both sides it would be flooded and very few would choose one side or the other unless maybe ur a hardcore RP'er, honestly if i decide to try this game im just gonna play a character who would take out all the idiotic jedi ppl running around, but i would not play a sith, i'd have to be a BH most likely which would probably one the most fun to play.

I started playing MMO's because my beat friend thought i would like the game, and eventually i did get hooked but not because i'm lonely i still go out with my friends and have a few drinks, but i think i played MMO's because i met a lot of the ppl i play with now through a LAN center we used to have nearby(sadly it closed /sadface).

Also i play MMO's because it does take you away to a different world and it is a lot cheaper then having to buy up all the console titles at $60 a pop or go out every night, i own a 360 but rarely buy games i'll rent one i like every once in awhile, and maybe like some we play MMO's to take a break from our friends because sometimes hanging around ur friends too much can get you a lil sick of them and u would rather just be alone in your own lil world.

WoW can be played by those who don't like a challenge. Unlike back during original WoW where you actually had to EARN your way into endgame. Early on in WoW and into BC there was actually time spent doing a ton of attunements after the lvl cap, just so you could raid. WoW was great back then...now its slowly starting to slide downhill. I though BC was great (some thought it was crap) well after lvling to 80 in WotLK and raiding all the content out there BC and original WoW was how the game was good. but even BC started the slide of WoW.

Enter Arenas and resilience......the two things that RUINED WoW.  it unbalanced open world PvP because someone running around in PvP gear could go up to someone out in the world  in top PvE gear and beat them just because they had reslience. Then, what do you think all the class changes are for that have popped up lately??? It's for arena purposes, go read a blue post sometime. Blizz tries to balance classes so there is no challenge to PvP, when really they need to look at it as....there should be no balance, some classes need to be better at, and more powerful at certain things than other classes.  Yet, they always wanna nerf a class based on PvP numbers at the expense of the damge or healing they do PvE wise.

Original WoW had the best idea for PvP back then.....it was something you did in your spare time or on the weekends when u weren't raiding and the PvP gear only had increased stam,no resil, and your raiding gear was the best for PvP because it was a break from the once great PvE WoW offered.  When the bubble bursts on WoW (probably after Icecrown Citadel comes out and is cleared, because most of the known lore is already in the game) PvP will be the only thing left standing in the game. I would avoid this game at all costs now, but if you just wanna be casual player stay! because patch 3.2 will take away all prestige in getting gear and all challenge will leave the game.

I'm actually enjoying the middle ground, not to mention the PvP all the way through to make it interesting.

PVP all the way through is only fun if its pplat or around your lvl, but like every game you're gonna have the losers who jsut HAVE TO gank and grief on lowbies to feel better about themselves, cuz they indeed suck at PVP themselves.

It's really only a grind if you're not having any fun... imo

Agreed, honestly i can stand to lvl anymore WoW characters because it's not fun. Aion will be a new game so leveling will not be a problem for most ppl, like me, who want to explore as much content as possible while leveling and finding out what there is in the game, not just go up each level finding mobs kill em all grind it out. sure its fast but, nothing new comes your way. plus, you'll be one of the few ppl who will actually kno where things are at so all your friends or people in game  will be asking you, "dude...where is this place?"

Well i will tell you what i wont play is a Gladiator, Assassin, or Sorceror. All the other classes look very cool to play but have narrowed down my choices to  either be a Templar, Spiritmaster, or a priest class, cleric/chanter not sure just yet.

The people from Blizz who are in charge of WoW right now are idiots.  I'm not really sure why people still play this game to be honest.

I try to still play but no one in my guild knows what it means to raid anymore, and i do also agree the the ppl in charge of WoW are idiots, and have no idea what to do.

I'll put this one way and one way only....the changes in 3.2 are terrible and i will be leaving the game for good, blizz has lost their minds and have no idea what they want to do right now. they need to get their heads on straight and figure things out. Most of the class changes are unnecessary and flat out annoying!!! lets nerf here, nerf here, oh lets tweak this a little bit but it doesnt matter wow....do some research dont make change just to make changes.

Well honestly Aion won't kill WoW in the US, maybe only take away a good bit of their subs. I say that only because most of my friends i've talked to are unhappy with the changes coming in 3.2 and we are all currently looking around for a new MMO to play. Aion seems to be where we're going. WoW is becoming way too casual and everyone can get good gear and there is absolutely no prestige to getting gear anymore, it used to be the story of how you got the gear and u felt like u actually accomplished something, and its just not in WoW anymore.

Aion on the other hand im not saying its going to be so amazing everyone in WoW will leave, because lets face it ppl will still play WoW long after the bubble bursts on it, and you will still have a large player base so in a sense the only thing that will kill WoW is Blizz itself when they finally shut down the game. So lets stop with the 'WoW Killer' game and start saying what could potentially compete with WoW.

I was just wondering what everyone else thought about Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis.

Which do you prefer?

In my opinion I prefer Stargate SG-1 because there was more detail in it and plots seemed to be more complex of that to Atlantis all though Atlantis has had quite a few suprising twists in it. I think that Atlantis appeals more to the younger generation because its more modern and high tech but SG-1 can never be beaten.

What did you think of the movies?

Reaction to Atlantis being cancelled?

Do you think the game will live up to expectations?

Thanks if you put the effort into answering this pretty random thread, I was bored and wanted to see other peoples opinions.

Which do you prefer?

I do prefer SG-1 over SGA, i've seen the entire series of SG-1 and have seen and good number of SGA episodes and found it to be a good series so far, i never really got into Atlantis that much but i still like it and i own all the DVD's of SG-1 and SGA now. In my personal opinion though i think SG-1 was probably the best TV series ever created.

What did you think of the movies?

I love the movies The Ark of Truth being my favorite out of the two, they did an amazing job with them, and cant wait to see the Atlantis movie, when they bring it out.

Reaction to Atlantis being cancelled?

From what i've seen from Atlantis, i think it was time for it to go because characters did come and go and the whole wraith thing had become a bit boring.

Do you think the game will live up to expectations?

I like what i have seen from the game so far, but all these situations that keep popping up with all the companies involved with the game im afraid the game will be changed from what i've seen so far and will jsut wind up disappointing me in the end.

Yeah sure its the same building someone gets some money up rents the space out gets the money fro mthe suckers who believe it then they split off with the money , then uses their amatuer at best web design skills cuz the mmoguls website is absloute crap and contains nothing of substance in their terms of use they just updated an hour ago, and their privacy policy about 20 hours ago, it looks to me like they're revising it so they can look like its credible when the whole thing is a hoax and a scam.

I dont know where the game Stargate Worlds take place and what season, but apparently we dont have spaceships as of yet.

Well from what i've read the game is supposed to take place between seasons eight and nine, b4 all of the major changes take place in the stargate unvierse.

Tabula Rasa wasn't a brand name and we all know its fate - but it had its own problems.

And by problems u mean, whoever paid to play it only funded richard garriot's selfish pursuit to go into space, and they never fixed any bugs in TR then yeah id say those are problems
