Vanguards diplomacy

It still bugs me, why pay for a game, and then have bots play it for you...

All in all it would be better if WoW, cancelled the first 90 levels...

and then transfer all that old content up to level 100, and send people there on daily questchains and dungeon runs from their garrisons..  actually i think this would be an awesome idea..  Giving all the old content usefellness again, removing the level grind and the need for botting.

And its a sad thing ....

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/17561381/61-ptr-patch-notes-february-13-2-13-2015

No real content added, no new zones, no new dungeons, no new raids... wasnt that what the major patches where always about?

Just a bunch of ballance stuff and the things that should have been in at releaseday in the first place..

Its allways been a shame how Blizzard treated their customers when it comes to free content updates, and its getting worse the older the game gets....

to bad there is no weaponswapping.... this would have made it a perfect class for me

I got so many birthday gifts for all my characters, and each one contained a free boost to level 20...    Now i have in stock 5 boosts to level 20, and about 30 free level tomes, and a frackload of XP boosters...  All for free...

but since i am not that kind of player i am not using them...

True healing in Gw2 is not going to happen.... Its to much against the design philosofy..

But on some level, doesn't this issue expose a problem with the design?

No, i cant see that...   Its just a different type of group play, and if they want more healing all they need to do is improve the healing stat...

True healing in Gw2 is not going to happen.... Its to much against the design philosofy..

Even withouth the expansion its a favourite game of me, love the combat, love the classdesign, love the events, love the quests (and they got even better with season 2) love traveling around the world, love the instanced PvP...

i have been back two or three times since release and each of them was fun, i am looking forward to the expansion, and currently playing the game...

Third, you can't progress your character in sPVP (I don't know if that has changed over time). I liked doing PvP for a change of pace during leveling. Not in GW2, you can't do that. There's no incentive to play (your character gains neither levels or gear).

You can progress your character in sPvP nowadays, but the progress doesn't affect your performance in sPvP

.. but you get levels, gear, money and so on, that you can drag into pve... or sell your loot and buy gems with in case something interests you in the store.  Or whatever you want to do with money.

I actually make a decent profit in sPvP.

Ok. That's cool.

Now, if they would only make new Stognhold PvP mode similar to Alterac Valley, with 20vs20 or similar, I would be very happy. Unfortunately, recent teaser video again, shows 5v5 only.

I am pretty sure they will have an option for larger guildgroups...

No, not really. There is a reason it failed as an esport......

Not talking about "e-sports."

Just said it's the best mmorpg instanced jump-in-and-pvp.

It is.......

it also has the best solo PvE experience..

some fun dungeons and fractals

and WvW large scale PvP

which still makes it my favourite MMO as a complete package...

the biggest miss in the game is that there is no trinnity, i do so miss my healer in Dungeons.....

There they are again, the we want all for free folks....  Obviously this is a game that tries to find new ways to make money, not because they want to drain the customers, but because they want the game and the development team to survive...

on top of that, they announced it, i myself missed one eppisode and gladly payed for it...

now get over it and pay the price for this great content, or move on to whatever other game you like best...

personally i wish there where new eppisodes every two weeks, and i would gladly pay 200 gems for each of them..  Its like 2 euro for quite some hours of fun...  So who cares..

I would want:

1. More hidden missions in the open world: it is fancy to have a great main-plot however, I would also love to have some side-stories here and there giving the world some extra depth. I always enjoyed travelling around Tyria and getting surprised by these small, but interesting side-quests. Like the crying lady in white in Queensdale and haunted house.

2. A couple of sandbox elements: they already exist in many other themepark MMORPGs. Something along the lines of a fishing system would be really facy in my opinion, giving us the chance, to forget the combat for a little bit and immerse ourselves in the enviourment by other means.

Nice ideas mate...   I can imagine side stories as long as one or two season2 chapters...

however, currently they are trying to tell those side stories with the dynamic event system, which is a great and awesome tool for adding dynamics but not the all and ever for telling deep stories....  I would love to see more of the Gw1 story telling indeed...

Getting the 100% map completion is about as interesting as killing million rats on a starting zone.

Some people love this stuff but spending days running around the map doing pointless tasks for cosmetic fluff seems quite odd.

My GF has 100% map completion while I'm around 2 %. ;O

Nice over-exaggeration... unless your character is level 2.

GW2 is a fun game for explorers, however after a couple times through it can become repetitive. That is no different then doing the same quests for the 10th time though.

The problem is mindset.... Completion in Gw2 is not about the goal, but about the journey, its about the little things you see on the road, about the NPCs you meet and what they have to say...

I really love starting new event chains, and following those NPCs around...

if you play with that mindset, completion becomes a tool instead of a goal, just like daylies, If you follow them, things start happening around you...

This is a question to all those people that like the current game in some extent

So what improvements should the expansion have over the orriginal game...  withouth turning it into a whole different game, as we all like the current game.

here is my personal short list...

1) more quests and stories along the line we have seen in living story season 2, the orriginal game did not have much story to keep one busy at max level.

2) a way to save builds including gear sets

3) more social tools for guild interaction

whats your list?

This game is perfect for those players that want to complete and discover all and everything the PvE game has to offer...

because every zone you gon and visit even when you are max level still has its challenges..  And while you travel around the world, things happen, events are started, NPCs have stories to tell during these events. On top of that, there is stuff hidden everywhere...

how much world completion does your main character have?

I'm glad to see this awesome game still rocking, might reactivate my account :D

If you reactive your account you'll get a free 14 day trial. So I would recommend to come back and see if you like the new changes.

Here the link to reactive accounts https://accounts.eamythic.com/

Can anyone tell me what my accountname was? ... I dont even own the email adresses i owned back in that time.  No chance for me i guess to ever reactivate my account... To bad i had like 9 max level characters spread over  2 EU and 3 US realms ( and 2 accounts)

I'm not sure why they don't do this.  It's been requested since beta, but they ignore the issue altogether.  It's quite surprising since GW1 had this feature.  It gets really annoying having to switch out traits, weapons, utilities, etc... especially when experimenting with different roles.  Not many MMO's have this feature either, so it would actually be a good marketing ploy.

Some have said that they're purposely not implementing features GW1 had so as to distance themselves from it.  GW1 had hour long missions, deep lore and a dark story with fantastic writing and in game cutscenes with each mission (and 8 players working together).  GW2 has quick missions with two characters talking before and after with what many consider to be bad overall writing (though it's a matter of personal taste; most people don't even pay attention to story, it seems).  Gw1 is challenging, GW2 is easy and accessible, etc.  Gw1 had tanks and healers, GW2 has zergs and respawning quickly to beat down something.  Gw1 has capes, Gw2 has tabards.  GW1 was story focused and instance based, GW2 allows people in the same area with less emphasis on story, but rather things happening around you that have little relevance to your story.  Gw1 was about building your class / dual class as well as later on seven hero units you could control (equipping them with skills / runes / outfits to synergize and compliment), Gw2 has a single character whereby a weapon decides what your main skills are and you don't have to think.  GW1 had thousands of skills, GW2 has a dozen or two utility skills to unlock.  They originally did not want any of the classes to be named anything that GW1 did, as well.  Though Warriors are warriors no matter what they're called; mesmers were screamed for repeatedly and necromancers just sound cool.  Etc.  Etc.  It's hard to find anything that they have that is the same... even expansions weren't a thing until three years later.  Some of the changes may be good, others not so much.  Not being able to save such things would likely be placed in the "not so much" area.  They wanted to completely reinvent the wheel with the second game as opposed to have any resemblance and have it be called Guild Wars 1.5.

I dont understand it either, espescially since they can make money with features like this....

That sounds like a feature to me.  Are we interested in having them sell game systems and features now?  Unless I'm misunderstanding and need elaboration.

A) that was their orriginal strategy, but now everyone knows the games are fundamentaly different, they should look back and pick up the good things..

B) this is a win/win the company gets better from it, and players are happy with it, i as a player realise companies need to make money and am prepared to pay for this kind of stuff

Builds can be changed on the fly. What more do you need?

Explain on the fly, imagine you have 5 builds with a wide mixture of train and skill combinations.

Bladestorm is right,  running around with equipment for 7 builds, and having to change every little detail takes time, a lot of time, taking away from the fun of respeccing...  If a dungeon requires me to perform different roles in different fights, thats okay with me, but i dont like it when the group needs to wayt full five minutes for me..

Old news...

Can we kindly keep the Landmark crap in its own section? It's real easy to find, it's the one without EverQuest in its name. This section is for EverQuest Next. Thank you.

Landmark is nothing but the try out and testing grounds of EQnext....everything that happens currently in Lanmark has a direct connection to the upcomming EQnext game.  Denial is futile.

You fell into their deception, didn't you?

Yes, Landmark is connected. Yes, it will help build EQN.

But all it does is refine the tools for making EQN.

This is claiming that having a strong, shiny pickaxe in your hand will dig you a mine.

No! There is no mine yet. Mines take years to make, even with shiny pickaxes.

Right now, EQN is as solid as vapor.

For sure, we agree, landmark is giving them the little extra money and attention needed to keep the EQN dream alive and burning...  But it will slowly turn more and more intoo a testing ground for EQN, not just the tools for creating the world, but even more the ingame mechanics that will be added slowly over time..
