Anyone else think this is one of the side effects of this whole trend of simple easy to learn games that just about every freakin game company is seeming to follow.If theres no learning curve and no reason to help eachother then theres no reason to interact and get along with others.Not to turn this into precu swg thing but back then you needed eachother to advance and learn and accomplish things.Granted after the grind you could get by on your own but by then you made the friends and developed a community.

Im one of the vets that felt screwed over but even i get sick of the swg is dead ,its almost dead,soe sucks, blah blah blah.We as costumers had our chance and i believe we couldve crushed them but we didnt .I know a ton of people and im sure this goes across the board that cancelled 2  of their acounts only to leave 1 or 2 active or some others that would resub every 4-6 months and say they just want to see how bad soe screwed it up.We had our chance to be a power that could of sent a message to companies but we took our foot of their throat and believe it or not people are startin to go back and new players are tryin it out that dont know what it was like and just see what seems to be a bunch of bitter people bitchin.Ive seen more and more people in the swg room in ts playin.Believe me i do miss it alot.

I think the best chance vets have is to stop bitchin and hope the emu works out even if it seems to be run by a bunch or atleast one  jerk-offs that threatin communities and throw fits when his ego feels threatened.

let me guess you didnt want to deposit so you spend 3 hours doing the worst part of the game then judge the whole game on that. Am i close?  You do know sweating is supposed to suck so you deposit.If it was easy noone would deposit and the game would go under.I played it for a few months was just to expensive unless you get lucky and unless you got in at the begining before inflation and xp nerfs its not worth it.Had good ideas could of been so much better but wasnt as bad as you say.

Sure a ton of people canceled there accounts when the nge hit but i can think of a bunch of people and i mean a bunch that canceled 2 of their 3 or 4 accounts and still kept a live sub going.Or the large amount that re-sub every few months to check it out as they put it.Alot of the people that did stay away went over to wow like a herd of cattle and then we wonder why these companies dont listen to us.Sure we sent a message to soe but we needed to crush them when we had the chance and i believe we could have done that atleast as far as SWG goes.

You want something like swg again then stop givin in and buyin crappy games cause theres nothing else to play.These companies wont hear us if they dont have to listen simple as that.

this is JMO

 but when and if the EMU devs finish and if its stable and able to be run with minimal maintenance and staff SOE will buy or  trade jobs to the devs for the updated code.

I tried Entropia a while ago and despised it.  I remember going out into the wildneress, chasing down some elephant looking thing, trying to get "sweat" or something from it, and failing miserably.  I found it horribly tedious.  I will usually try an MMO a week before I make a judgement call on it.  This only lasted the first night.  bleh.

Of course its boring and tedious its supposed to be.This games life depends on people depositing.If sweating was fun and easy no one would deposit and this game would die .I think its funny that people incuding myself will go out and buy a game anywhere  from 30$ + first months fee or 50$ for non ptp games, play for a week,month or  whatever  get tired of it and shelve it without get anything back  from it and not think twice about doing the same thing on the next new release.

The way i see it heck put 50$ into a game that cost nothing to dl and no monthly fee if you take your time learn about the game dont waste your money you get atleast if not more than a month play time out of it hopefully meet some decent people to play with.Maybe you get luck and hit something that keeps you going thats great or maybe your dont and dont like the game atleast then with the people youve met  you can work a deal with them give them your stuff for say 50 cents on the dollar they paypal you and you get something back.

i know what they are and ive played entropia for a month or so.I thought it was a decent game it has alot of good ideas but they come up short IMO from making it a great game.

what i want to know is are there any games like Entropia that are just getting started or in beta ??Id like to get into a game like that from the begining before inflation and xp nerfs become part of the game.
