This happens in England quite often when the British born Indians/Pakistanis/Bangladeshis boo the England cricket team, we get over it though. |

Please explain to me the "wilderness/free trade" changes
General Discussion « Runescape 12/24/10 1:14:33 PM
Originally posted by EndDream Yeah, its a good sandbox as in you can do whatever you want and there are loads of options (though people will disagree) Basically in late 2007 Jagex removed PvP from the wilderness (one of the best/popular parts of the game) and removed free trading so that you basically had to trade an item to someone exactly for what its worth, all to stop RMT, botting/macroing and scamming. Loads of people didn't like this and so quite a few people stopped playing, but still a small amount compared to the total amount of players. People have been complaining about this update for 3 years now and I think Jagex finally have the technology to combat RMT/bots (so they say) so they are now bringing it back by the looks of it. Some videos of the old wilderness: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHRikbRgS3g http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igOqPvkWv5c The old wilderness had single and multi zones, and it wasn't always as filled up as those videos suggest, I just chose those as they show how popular it was at times. Those updates aside though, its still a great sandbox which you should at least try. It gets positive reviews from most reviewers. |

Romeo and Juliet Quest deleted, more quests to be deleted soon!
General Discussion « Runescape 10/10/10 3:20:42 PM
Originally posted by Bonemane So you're trying to say they're currently trying to make F2P worse to get people to become members? Well let's see..In the last year 2 new F2P quests have been created and they've also got a brand new skill. That's more than they added to F2P in the last 5 years. You also missed the bit where they said they're going to REPLACE the Romeo and Juliet quest with a better one. So yeah, I don't get what removing this quest has got to do with gaining more members.. |

They thought about those PKing/trade updates way before Geoff Iddison came..you think he came and told them to implement those updates 1 month in? Though I agree he was easily the worst out of the 3. Constant Tedder was good but he never ever really interacted with the community like Mark Gerhard does. |

Change whenever it says Runescape to RuneScape, you know, to make it more professional looking. But other than that, it looks promising and I will have a deeper look at it soon. |
