The items people use on a loot server would be different, but they would be balanced. Everyone would use "mediocre" stuff that is easier to attain .... and thus PVP would be based on SKILL completely and not gear at all. That one loser that gets the sword of 1000 truths or whatever would not get to run around owning people with it and feeling "skilled" because he farms for 18 hours a day in mommy's basement. Get it?

See AC 1 for a perfect example of how this makes your game instantly legendary. They had 8 regular servers and 1 PVP server. This was a place where you didn't NEED to follow the lore. You didn't need to do the new content that got added (no one did) and you can still have an insane time fighting with other players , having guild wars, controlling dungeons and leveling grounds, and raiding TOWNS.

I hate the thought that I can "max out" my gear by PVEing a billion hours and then some "new content" gets added and I have to re-start the process..... I hate "pve to pvp" type mind set. I had that in WoW..... i wasted WAAAAY To much time "pveing" so I could gain power for PVP..... i really hate myself for doing that much PVE even if it was for PVP.... cuz they just came out with burning crusade and were like "oh start PVEing again if you want to PVP more" ..... that is pure ass. Never force players to PVE if they don't want to PVE. Have item drop in PVP and suddenly there is no reason to raid for end game gear....... you can get anything in the game just by PVPing ....and STUPIDLY hard to attain items aren't worth farming because you can LOSE them. they are no perma-upgrades that give you an advantage that never ever goes away.

btw in Wow since BC you can get as good if not even better gear by pvp-ing especially after latest patch ....but wait you will complain about how long it takes to get that gear....dude if you dont have time for MMOs go play BF2 or something....but wait even there pple w more time have better stuff...dont blame games or others that have time for their hobby if you are so cool or dont have time dont play...

How about random generated arenas where oposing teams might get traped (booby traps) or both teams ambushed by random npc mobs....its like throwing dynamite in fire also i would like if they had a betting system where u can place bets on your favorite gladiator of course this would have to be closely watched by GMs to prevent hoax fights.....another thing I would like to see in AOC is live events get GM or dev to play as Conan or some other famous NPC.

if there is a will there is a way of going around any "strict" policies , dont put much hopes in that.

To add to this...

You can choose to play a reaver (orc), blackarrow (uruk), warmaster (uruk), spider or warg that all start at level 50, all which are specialized classes and have unique abilities. You can have one of each if you'd like so you can try all of them out. You can also name that character and earn destiny points by quests or PvP kills to purchase new traits and abilities. The character is saved just like your normal character is.

As far as grouping goes, my burglar is 27 and I have no problems getting into and staying in a group to work together to complete quests. *shrug*
