Help learning proper english grammar?

cag, I'm another guy that's been playing for years. I keep thinking I'm going to cancel my account, but I just can't give it up. Even when I'm busy with school and work and church, it's a nice, fun game. Like the others have said, it's not very deep - very casual friendly. You can make it deeper if you want - get a really serious supergroup, do hardcore RP, really get into PvP and the Inventions. But you can ignore all that and still have fun. |

Impressive. There's also a lot of good stuff on the Facebook Graffiti application - and that has even more limitations than Paint. |

i need a tip for getting someone to play

OP, are you planning on starting fresh or picking up your old character? If you're planning on starting fresh, you should also tell your wife about the new Leveling Pact. It was designed with someone like you in mind. How it works is two players (you and your wife in this case) each start with toons under level 5. You enter into this pact and just go about your normal business. You can play on a team together, or play separately. You don't even have to be online at the same time. As you play, you build up experience and share it with your pact buddy. If you're both online, you both gain experience at the normal rate. If the one toon is offline, he gets all that experience when he logs back in. That way, the next time you both are online at the same time, you're at the same level. You haven't fallen behind and have to sk or catch up. Better instructions and details can be found here: http://www.paragonwiki.com/wiki/Leveling_Pact. I tried it with some random SG-mate. It worked okay, but we were both playing alts, and had no way to contact each other outside the game, so it didn't really work ver ywell for us. But for a husband & wife duo, or two irl friends, it should work much better. |

As much as I appreciate the opportunity to get these badges on my alts, I wish they'd come up with something new for the holidays. *sigh* I know, I know, if I think it's so easy, why don't I come up with something myself... |

Thanos, I don't really have much to offer, except that I've been playing for 46 months. I've tried stalkers, but my highest is only lvl 11. I just don't enjoy them like I do scrappers or brutes. The Arachnos Soldier you're thinking of is the Villain Epic Archtype (VEATs) that are now available. The two VEATs are Wolf Spider and Blood Widow. From the CoX site: Villain Epic Archetypes Both VEATs can be played as male or female, if you were wondering. Like it says, you do have to be level 50 to unlock them. I don't have a villain up that high, so I can't tell you much about them. However, they do seem to be fairly popular.

Also, I was reading another thread this morning, and the other posters kept talking about CoD. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what it was - nothing on the game list matched. Then someone used it as CoD4. Ah-hah! Call of Duty 4! Their other choices were somewhat limited, due to real co_ words:

Either way, you're going to wind up with people trying to 'cure' the group in the minority, either through psychology, pharmacology, or gene therapy-type stuff. |

This is one of the few issues I have with CoX - I'd like more human hybrid characters: centaurs, Naga-types, harpies, etc. Maybe someday... One of the problems with true non-bipeds (horses, birds, snakes, snails, dogs, whatever) is the lack of manipulators. Like someone else mentioned, they can't use traditional weapons. They'd have to fight with body parts (hooves, talons, fangs) or with magic. But the addition of a "rider" could add to your character's offensive capabilities. And riders could be responsible for attaching armor (how is a horse going to buckle his own straps?) Originally posted by Eisdrache

Day & night cycles - yes. They're very quick, but certain mobs come out more frequently during the night/day than they do the other half of the day. The ones that immediately come to mind are Vahzilok and Clockwork, but it depends on the zone (which I can't remember right off-hand). Weather - not really. You're not going to fight in a rainstorm or a blizzard. At least, not one that's not generated by a hero/villain. However, Croatoa and Dark Astoria are constantly foggy (DA more so). Really, it's just to set the mood. |

One Thing They Need to Change In This Game...
Fort Cerberus (General) « City of Villains 1/30/09 8:35:13 AM
I had to vote 'no' because I'm not a fan of FFA. I like PvP, but on established terms. I do like the idea of having a separate FFA area, though. I don't know if I'd rather have a server or a zone. Story-wise, the lack of FFA in the Rogue Isles is easily explained through the influence of Arachnos. You don't break the rules without catching the wrath of Lord Recluse. But I could see the addition of another zone/isle where Lord Recluse hasn't established Arachnos yet. Except for maybe a foothold/base for transportation purposes. Make it Villains-only content to keep it from becoming another RV. With a new zone, you'd have to worry about level. Although, I suppose you could make the notoriety system like the XP system - your victims would have to be within a certain level for the take-down to be of any benefit to you. Could there be a built-in griefing penalty to keep the lvl 50s from picking on the level 1s? How would you entice people to go there? Exploration badges? Salvage/recipe drops? Optional mission arcs? Could also work as a special Ouroboros arc - go back to the Rogue Isles in the early days of Arachnos. |

I don't know. I noticed earlier this week that it was laggier than usual. Maybe they're doing some system-wide fixes? |

They do look kinda cartoony, but in a JLU kind of way, which I like. Is that guy with the big white star on his jacket wearing a gold balaclava? Or is that his skin? |
