More of an annoyance/time waste factor than anything. Like others have said, take your time and enjoy the game. Indulge in some altitis and see what type of powers you prefer. my main is a claws/reflex scrapper. Around level 25 I was wishing I'd chosen other powersets, maybe not even had a scrapper at all, but I had too much invested in the character to just drop him and start over. If you're going to be playing this for a while - Choose your name wisely! - that was part of my problem. when he hit 50, it didn't really make since to make a 'Claw 2.0' without claws. |

been playing since March 2005 - what does that tell you? |

I've been playing CoH for over 2 yrs and just hit my first 50 about a month ago. (serious altitis I think what was killing the mood was the lack of SG ppl on. Yes, the repetition gets to be a bit tedious, but the community is one of the best aspects of the game. I won't/can't compare to WoW or EQ because I haven't played any other MMOs besides CoX, but the 'friends' I've made are what keeps me in-game. now that I've hit 50, I'll admit to a some exhaustion and a little less drive, but I haven't spent much time villain-side. And there are all those alts I haven't played with. And TFs to complete. Gotta get my 50 to an uber-50, just not in any hurry... |

As to Ano's #4 post... I could see something like this in the Arena. maybe have scheduled bouts between The Freedom Phalanx and Arachnos. sign up for a time slot, and if there's a no-show, an alternate gets the spot. Teams could either be balanced out by AIs or the filled in order of sign up (last one in goes to other team). Could also have the Vindicators vs. Arachnos Sidekicks (whatever they're called) or FP vs. the Praetorians. Possibly have something on the training room server or an instance on the main servers where you could 'try on' the various powers. Make it a recurring event so it wouldn't get too passe'. Offer badges for participating. Drop salvage in the 'real' world to give you choice of toon or priority placement, like the fast-pass at 6-flags. Make it a watchable cage-match thing. [have no idea how to do that.] |

I'm gonna have to go with SkinnyS on this one. And having it relegated to the Rikti War Zone would take away the fun of seeing the Hellions, etc. battle the Rikti. Yes, I realize they could have some of the other mobs spawn in the RWZ, but it wouldn't be the same... |

didn't they entirely scrap AA due to low player turnout? |

As an aside, what was the particular reasons for the changes in classes between CoH and CoV? Just to mix up the gameplay a bit?
From my understanding, yes. When creating CoV, the devs were trying to avoid making a 'red' CoH as much as possible. Most of the differences are fairly minor, but they're significant. I hate tanking due to the whole taunt thing, but I love 'bruting' becuase of the fury build-up. Aside: Also why there aren't any epic ATs *released* for CoV yet. I have no idea what's in the works. |

it would have to melt immediately behind you or some hero with SS wil slip and go sliding into a building. |

sounds like it might be a better villain powerset. maybe for corruptors? kinda fits with the Poison MM set... |

Thanks for asking, Arrowfodder. I'm new here myself and was wondering the same thing. |
