Its just a comment i wanted to share. :)

did you notice on the Lotro add it says : PLAY THE GREATEST EPIC NOW.

the now stuck at the end makes it sound as if something better is gong to come out soon.

And they are right, go AoC!

One: The video was nice, lets see how it REALLY is in-game.

Two: Looks promising, a cross over of Splinter cell (especially the nice colourfull shiny sh** on the head) and Kotor 2 (moves, robots fighting style, from what we have seem... proly more real time)

Three:  Dont get too excited guys... looks like a great idea but for things like this time and $ is always a problem.

not only 3 pet classes but they also differed a lot. and playing a bureaucrat was fun (could control a mind of most weakest enemies)

But to me, Lotro seemed very similar to WoW (and cause of that i didnt buy it).

If you like " that" tho i think you should enjoy it. Anyways, ill wait for my games and "kids" for theirs.

An MMO i would like to see:

A fantasy all undead game with: Skeletons (stealth and of course using their finger as a skeleton key)  - Mummies (mages strong powers average health but weakness to fire) - Vampires (strong magic health invisibility etc etc but all bonuses halved in daylight) - Zombies (strong HUGE health but slow and of no IQ {brains eaten out}) - Ghouls (damaging and healing auras, poison, weak attributes) hmmm... i forgot 1... idk

anyways all start in distinct locations and have different quests but guilds are on "deathmatch" no alliances.... only way of joining up is giving up independance. guilds should consist of any race you want to make GvG much funnier.... oh and it should be made to last a long time..

btw.. which undead race did i forget??????

just think about it....

there are not many people like Vaedur who post in avour of games. people love to whinge  and whine about stuff to the public. its not like there is MORE wow bashers, its just tht wow has a bigger community.

 if lets say 1 out of 1000 people bash, then we get an amazing nuber of 8 000  wow bashers.... thats enough for every forum. smaller games get like 2 or 100 bashers and these just disapear.

PS: this does not include people who did not play the game  (<--- me) but bash it anyway cause they are plainly stupid (<-/- me)

well said. both AoC (from trailers) and WW2 have nice combat.

didnt look much at AoC but i can throw some figures: a guy in armor... lets say chain and few leather/fur enforced could weight over 20 kg (~50 pounds is it?) . any plate armor from steel would be at least 20 kg. with that on people can not move fast. now....

talking of a naked barbarian with only a sword i have to disagree. swords (even in 13th century) did not weigh more than 2kg. why?  try swinging a 2kg sword for 30 minutes and see what your arm will fell like! 

also saying that the were clumsy heavy and unwieldy etc. do you really think through 1000 years (gladius etc etc) people did not improve their swords? medieval swords, no matter what people think were really good and leathal, not just an offensive bashing tool.

considering the numbers of people i have met that acted like thy are mature i think there is quiet a lot of people who are dads. not one myself, expecting at least 15 years of freedom still but fully agree

i never played Lotro. from what i hear tho it is the best MMO out today. i am just being carefull cause best doesnt mean good. so, is it really worth getting it, does it have the right feel (i dont care about graphics as long as the game works)?

The combat system is gonna be crap. it failed in all previous games!

I'm against botting as I personally think it ruins the game. As some1 stated before, the combat system makes it hard, and if they make better game code it will be good. The fewer bots there are, the better. Hopefully Funcom realises that no one wants a game with lots of cheaters. They should have a nontolerance against botting/cheating.

Orcs etc. have been defeated finally. now they have to sneak past all the goodie goodie part to Mordor. there is a reference to the book of saurons orc fleing to there i believe.

woud explain why there is not a 200:1 ratio (since evil guys were killed), would not overpower anyone. would also add a bit of the storyline to the game. nice expansion but we can only hope.

as for me, if the gold your buying has been obtained by the seller in a normal ingame way then it will not skew the economy at all. but i really think that if there are shops or the developer tries to sell made-up gold then that is very stupid. the skew to the games economy is tremendous if millions start to pop up from nowhere.

btw. i have never bought in game gold cuase i consider it cheating myself
