You have drivers installed but they are old, and need to be updated...
Edit: As someone else said, you may need to stick to console games... |

I suggest we all take a deep breath, breath in and out deeply and accept that the game just launched. Hey the launch was better then WoW's launch till now. Anyway go off and do something else for the time being. Have a break, have a kitkat. |

Actually it's fairly easy to solo. But with a group for example (Gladiator + Cleric), life is so much easier. Just saying it's easier when you group with another person, but soloing is easily possible in Aion as well till lvl 20 anyway. |

Originally posted by xcopydave Yeah there are armours which are very close in stats and lvl requirement which will look identical, but I mean for example, you are lvl 3 and you get a new sword that looks identical to your newbie sword. Those similarities. But obviously armour changes when you compare a lvl 20 to a lvl 40, huge difference.
Aside from that you can colour your armours with dyes.....so I think that compensates for that annoyance. But there a plenty of different looking armours. |

City of Heroes: Color? Or Colour? Armor? Or Armour?

The world calls it Football. America calls it Soccer. Unfortunately because their version of football is a totally different sport..."Americanized Rugby" sorta. What I don't get is who came up with the name for it....why Football? You're mostly running with the ball in your hands. I have nothing against it, it's just always been one of those mysteries. |

Well I don't know if this is encouraged in other countries in Europe, but here, our Educational system enforces the UK English language. Spelling words the same way as they are spelt in the US is just incorrect here. What ever the reason, I find that it makes more sense to stick to the UK English language, since I find the rules of the American language sometime's conflict. Like if you say Armor instead of Armour, why not say Contry instead of Country? What happened to the rule of getting rid of "u"? |

I played Korean Aion. Was a Warrior Class. Got to lvl 10 and then had to do a quest to be able to keep advancing as well as evolve into a new class. Thats right you don't have dual classes....never was mentioned. Maybe you are thinking of a different game mate. Once you reach level 10 as Warrior or whatever class you have to choose between two classes to evolve into to keep on advancing. Untill you do choose one of these classes by doing a quest you will not be able to keep lvling (Advancing your character). From a lvl 10 warrior you can either become a gladiator or a templar.
Hope this allows you to be aware how the class system works. |

Looks good, glad to see MMOFPS games are on the rise. Really hope this one is entertaining. Hope to see more FPS games comming up.
By the way sorry about this thread. Didn't mean to actually create it, was intending to reply to a post. |

Honestly dude, if I were you I'd go for Warhammer Online. Many reasons, aside from the game being at level (in my opinion) with WoW, it also has a good population. I don't play it cause I hated the service (in Europe) provided by GOA.
Anyway, the best Raiding game (aside from WoW) I've heard of is Everquest 2 . Maybe you should give it a shot mate.
Aion will probably be a little too hardcore for you I believe. PvP is one of the main themes of the game, and you'll see it a lot more then in WoW. No optional PvP either mate. Keep that in mind. |

16 hours play time. You can play the trial in your own personal time. One hour a week if you want, and still be able to play.
You don't have to level to enjoy and do most things in the game right away.
Just try the trial. It's not 16 hours from creation, it's 16 hours of being ingame time. Take your time, you can as many days as you want, but game time will total up to 16 hours eventually and trial is over.
Plenty of time in my opinion.... |

I played one of the very few MMOs last year which was still FFA PvP. There is nothing like it, the experience, the fear, the adrenaline rush, the massive ffa battles, or 3 or even 4 way fights everyone just fighting eachother for different reasons. The politics, the everything!! It's one hell of an experience when a guild and an individual player is allowed to choose his enemy.
I have nothing against people who want a PvE system, but in my opinion Darkfall is NOT that game. The dev team themselves are hardcore pvp fans and some were against the idea of even putting in PvP, but thank god they did.
A game without a little PvE can become dull. Anyway, I have to be honest, this game is a long time comming and putting the option of flagged PvP would be a massive mistake. There just is no design for it and it would just ruin the whole scope of the game.
I ain't a griefer, I just love what comes with FFA PvP; Guild Politics, confusion, the fear and knowledge that you could always be attacked/ambushed. The fact that you can rob someone of his equipment. The fact that you can be the hero killing the griefers. So many different possibilities....thats what I love about FFA....so many possibilities so much freedom to do whatever you want to do. |

Actually....just to have a laugh....I've been following the game for a year now. Since they first went public and started beta I've been following this game. The producer of the game, and what all the devs call the boss is actually intending not to market this game in the wrong areas. They don't care for a high population. This game isn't an MMORPG.....it's an MMORTS....so people don't represent one character, but a whole empire. Population ain't too important. Another thing, which is the funny part is the producer told everyone very early on in ventrillo that he wanted to avoid any mentioning in game sites like MMORPG.com, Gamespot, Hi5 and other sites where there is a crazy and immuture community. So they targeted the more mature and less hyped sites. They don't care for having subscriptions like WoW. This game is their dream game and they want a mature community playing it. They don't want little kiddies whining and flaming on the website and screaming how the game is too hard or too difficult (which it is....massive learning curve for good reasons!!!) This game has been in planning for many many years...if I remember right a decade if not more (I could be wrong there). They were planning it back in the 1990s. Thats all I remember. Just so you know the is the ultimate, hardcore sci-fi RTS on an MMO level which every Empire building RTS gamer has been dreaming of.
Just to mention a few features: Create and modify your own units - Modify every component of a unit...from the engine to its armour all the way to the material used....you can even modify the material itself!! I was serious when I said Hardcore. There is no ultimate unit by the way.....research improves a unit mainly...you can't just put loads of massive guns on a cruiser and expect it to be unbeatable. There are always down sides without proper balance. A whole universe of planets to conquar (although game mechanics make that almost impossible) - You can colonise as many planets as you want, and all have their own resources, which get depleted but eventually return in a random area (random area including any other planet). Resources on a planet are always changing from type to location on the planet aswell. You will never have a resource respawn in the same location...it can spawn anywhere on the planet (where there are no buildings of course. War on a Galactic scale, with planetary battles to massive space battles with space stations...the works.....Planetary bombardments....spaceships shooting from space on to the planet (like artillery). Other Features: Diplomacy, espionage, alliances, galactic scale battles with many players fighting eachother on several fronts. As I said before this is an empire building RTS gamer's dream game comming soon. Apply for the beta at http://www.beyondprotocol.com/ And remember....it's an empire building game.....and an MMORTS.....and it's hardcore.....massive learning curve, so if you don't like it because it's too hard, just leave it alone....don't stay whining just unistall the game. Many of us Beta testers find this game to be ingenious, a real work of art. And brilliantly deisnged, although there have been many changes in the game as well. A lot of the planning they did was in the programming structure for the server. It has an incredible amount of stuff going on...imagine each unit with it's individual components (shields, engine, armour, guns) damage, ammunition. Hard core... |

Ok, I'm starting to thing this game sucks

Originally posted by alowe56 Ok, but it might have been nice if someone at least replied and told me that. But I suppose that would have been too much to ask for. Oh Well.
Well you probably asked at a time where people were not watching the help channel and those who were, didn't have an answer for you. Besides help channel is players helping players. It's just a normal channel all players can join which is dedicated to helping new players learn the game. Now the problem here is what technical people would label a "User Problem". The reason it's a "User Problem" is because the user is the one with the problem, not the game. If other players can play the game with their CH joysticks, and you can't.....why does it have to be the game is broken?....I guess because you said so.... I suggest you figure out whats wrong on your side, or you'll miss out on a possibly great game (depends on your taste and what you are looking for in the end). The best thing about WWII Online / Battleground Europe.....It filters out those impatient whiney little squeeky kiddies and the impatient weirdos who haven't matured enough yet. If you ain't one of those people....prove it by cooperating and accepting peoples help and not whining about how the game sucks and how people don't want to help you because they didn't answer you, and how the devs don't care about you cause you can't access the forum. There are many other ways to get in touch with the developers. Submit a support ticket from the support page. The devs don't really care for your subscription, if you're going to be an annoying pesky customer. They want their community to remain as it is, clean enjoyable, mature, positive and fun. |

Unfortunately mate you don't understand. The whole reason people are happy with these updates although they seem weak is that the game is more playable. It's not about content it's about making the game more playable after two years of an un-playable game. If you still don't agree then I can tell you this, Roma Victor is the only game of it's kind. There is no other like it. And it's a fun sandbox game which leaves the player with an absolutely massive range of choices of what to get up to. I guess if that tiny drop of water was a rare type of water with special properties it would make the desert worth while if that tiny drop of water is what you were looking for. It all comes down to tastes. Roma Victor is getting closer and closer to being a great game for those in search of a sandbox game. |

Although it was expected, it still is very sad to hear that such a great game which was once at it's absolute prime before it even launched was one of the best MMORPGs I ever played, is now at it's end.
The concept was there, the design just took a wrong direction. Such a shame that a game like that is no more. |

I find Xfire to be the best place for information which can be represented as the closest to accurate. http://www.xfire.com/genre/mmo/massively_multiplayer_online/ This link in my opinion is how I can find out how popular and active a game still is. Closest to accurate ratings. Except....ignore most Free2Play games and Lineage II since they require players to stay online/AFK with their shops. |
|
|
Yeah usually it's "Best Free MMORPG" although I think there are better free MMOs to choose from. |
|

Closest Pay2Play game I could compare Archlord to is Lineage II since they have the most things incommon especially with PVP. That being said, it's not better or close to Lineage II in quality. But it has to be one of the better free2play PvP games. Although if you want to be competitive you need to purchase Chantra, usually by buying it for ingame gold, or else buying it with real money. Obviously it's made that way so that Codemasters can make a profit, pay for the support staff, servers & bandwidth, and pay for the updates I guess. Still it could be a lot better of a game here in the western-market. I'm not talking about potential. I don't know the reason but the Korean version is a way better game while with Codemasters, it's just a shadow of what it is to the East. They have more updates, they are several episodes ahead of us getting a lot more updates then we are ever getting. Rediculous when there are people putting in so much money into this game. |

Originally posted by Ahnilator Oh, is that so? Can you tell us your sources, then? I've been active in-game and been on the forum every days for 2 years now, and I never heard about that kind of information. I think you're lying, just for the sake of post count or being the know-it-all smartass, I'd say. To answer to the question, it's this summer. It will be focused on PvP, but the rules haven't been set yet. Emmm....you've got serious issues dude. All I know really is what I read in a post by Dnote. Now if you've got a problem with that complain to Dnote...I don't think you've been around for 2 years or you'd agree with me that the 4th server would be released the same time as Episode III as was with Evengarda when Episode II was released. Actually you did agree with me, if only you could remember how Evengarda was released. Does it make sense we are expecting EPIII and the new PvP server to both be released soon. I said it could be next month for all I know, or the month after, probably this summer, but it's possible it could finally come next year like what happened to Episode II. (The word "Soon" is used to resemble even months with codemasters). Now why does it sound like I'm lying when it seems so logical? And since when does anything that codemasters say espcially when it comes to deadlines....comes true? If they were so intent on putting a new PVP server out...why wait? Why not put the server out now instead of all the hype? We gave them enough feedback to let them know what we thought of the different PvP rules. Whats taking them so long to put it out now? I remember what happened when they promised us Episode II. Codemasters convinced us it to be weeks away and it took months. Since I speak from real experience I and not pretending to be some yahoo (who says his life revolves around Archlord) who forgot whats happened in the past when Codemasters says something; Anything codemasters says when it comes to deadlines, take with a pinch of salt. Unless they give an exact date (which day of which month) take what they say with a pinch of salt. Usually they go with "a month or two from now" or a "few weeks from now" without a specific date to feed the hype when they don't really have any actual date for when it would be ready. Ok, I've realised something....since when do I talk to flamers who talk out of their *** or suffer from memory loss. |
