I'm a 19 year old uni student, turning 20 next month, and most of my friends are 20+ years old.

If you are trying to figure out if the younger audience prefers one side over another, then you need to make the poll more detailed. Simply saying 15-19 and 20-29 etc proves nothing. Hell a 23 year old can seem like an immature shit compaired to a 28 year old. 

Finally, there are only so many Aion players on mmorpg, so your poll will have an insignificant numbers which won't prove anything for certain. However, if you must do a poll and make it somewhat accurate, then you should instead do an Elyos vs Asmondean poll, and make sure that the test focuses solely on mmorpg.com players. 

I also sense that you're more interested in seeing if the younger audience prefer the Asmodean vs the Elyos, so why not do a poll that focuses on them ? 

Your point is moot  . . . everyone knows people under the age of 20 have the mentality of their shoe size.

On a more serious note, you are only allowed a limited number of slots on this forum for polls.  The way it is laid out will give a general idea of what age groups prefer which side.  It really has nothing to do with age since some people can be 40 years old and still act like a child fresh out of gradeschool.  And lets face it there is now way anything scientifically accurate will ever come out of these forums.

Thanks for the replies, I'll either order the download version from Gamestop or order through Steam. Just needed to vent a little after 15 minutes of frustration on the NCSoft website.

The reason for the quotes around "buying" is because several entered into the pre-order for the soul purpose of trying the game and never had any intention of actually completing the purchase.  Some going as far as having their credit card companies issue a charge-back because the purchaser lied about not getting what they felt they should.

Send them an email or call.  It may have been something put into place to safeguard from people "buying" tons of copies for the beta keys only to cancel them later.

I believe you can play on the pre-order key for a few days past the actual launch, this will allow for a few days travel for the actual copy to show up.  If NCsoft does not allow this they can expect a lot of hate directed at them for the first few days.

If you look at the keys there is one listed for pre-order as well as beta:

No, it was increased dramatically from quests in update 1.5.  I am not sure if exp from mobs was increased but it does seem like it.

WOW fans seem to have some irresistible impulse to flame any game that threatens their sub numbers. I think it may have to do with insecurity issues about if they are really playing the best MMO ever invented my man.

I think it is because they are . . . dare I say it . . . BORED!

Perhaps their game isn't as good as they claim since most of the WoWer's time is spent defending it's sub count.

I stand by what I said, take the basic Frontier game play of DAoC and this would be the abyss and rest is all Lineage 2 pretty much with a few things changed - other wise - yes it is DAoC lite ala Lineage 2.  LOL!   Say what you will but I predict this game will be like Lineage 2 here in the US and EU because it just doesn't have what many MMORPG gamers like to see in an MMO.  Sorry if that makes you all sad, but that's how it will be.   In 6 months people will be like Aion...pffft...shallow game and not worth the monthly fee.

I hate WoW but it is not because of the game itself, the game was actually quite fun.  The community is the worst I have ever seen and to my horror that same community was in Aion for the open beta so hopefully they will slag off once they have to pay.

Stop including everybody. More people are happy with the direction then those mad because it's not SWG 2. I have come to the conclusion that you are a very sour delusional person. Games are around to make money first, get that through your head. BioWare takes pride in there projects. Every single game of theres I played was polished and amazingly fun.
