all expansions are free though Sentinels Fate - except DOV and AOD

players can level to 90 without buying anything

 

DOV can be bought for 15.00 on the SC store

AOD is a feature expansion w no adventure content, and largely not needed unless you want to play a beastlord

actually DoV is 20$sc but no matter my reasons stand. 60$ is still too much to invest to be on even ground for a f2p game.

as for trying EQ2 again Im willing  but the thing holding me back is that Im a couple expansions behind and Im willing to buy Age of Discovery but unlike all their other expansions its not an "all in one" expansion. meaning id have to go back and buy the other expansions seperately and Im not willing to do that. Especially when AoD has no real new content, only features.

Also, try the cleric class in Vanguard, if that game is even still running. It seems to be exactly what you want. It also has a paladin class.

There is also a Paladin class in vanguard and from what I can tell is one of the best single target tanks. I recently started one and they have decent survivability due to the heals that they have. (and yes the game is still running).

 

Might as well play a cleric in Vanguard because the cleric is a full bloen healer with great buffs and to top it alll they wear plate armour and wield 2h weapons and 1hand weapons. Swords, hammers and maces,the obly problem is they can take a while to actually killer harder mobs but it gets better with age. A pallys heal are on a timer so dont expect to tank and keep a group alive because you wont.

 

yeah unless things have changed a lot, which i doubt.. if you want to tank AND keep a group alive in Vanguard go Disciple.
EQ2 has Paladins and Unholy Paladins( Shadow Knights) that are both great and eq2 is in the process right now of going full f2p on all servers. OMG! WIN

just a gimmick. I doubt even Bioware will continue with full VO's in futre content.

The launcher states that if you're a weekend tester, your part in testing the game is done. There is still testing happening with ongoing testers though.

 

actually thats not true beta ended at midnight.. Huge dance party on the Capital Worlds, yipee! 

yep 1-50 shouldve been offline single players game. Once you reached 50 it shouldve become a MMO with a "lobby" type structure and a LFG matching system for instanced dungeons,flashpoints and warzones.

    Less is not always more.  Most often less is just less.  Some games make it work, but most do not.  Sorry, I loved the old style arcade games in the mall when i was a kid, but that doesn't mean I want to go back to playing them.

there are most certaily redundant skills though.. why would you need 4 skills that do xx to xxx dmg that all share the same cooldown and the only difference between them is maybe the animations and the names?

another thing that makes it seem overwhelming or too many i guess is the lack of extra hotkeys. if you put every ability on a hotkey you only have maybe 6 for anything else... like potions,custom macros, emotes etc.

Alot of the issues could be alleviated by Bioware adding more hotbars for bottom center.. like  1x3(or4) or 2x2 etcs. They seem to have ignored all beta player threads about this brought up though, so.. 

do not confuse "options" or "variety" with redundant filler abilities. Yes TOR has too many redundant abilities.

Better check you status and try to find another source, if possible.

a REAL SWTOR fan would order all these products. anyone who doesnt should be ashamed.

its gonna get boring sooo fast. VOs are not gonna prevent that.

GW2 is the only hope left for the non mediocre mmo we have left

wait and see. DOOM for this game I predict.  Merging of server within 6month will be.

Thats what i said 8 classes on each side of the fence... (which are blattant copies of the classes on the other side of the fance)

Basically the Advanced classes are the final 8 classes, and they all play different  from eachother ... but exactly the same as its counterpart on the other side of the fence.  There will be no Jedi consular in endgame, but there will be Jedi Sages and Jedi Shades

That's why you hotkey/bind all your useful abilities.

no, thats why YOU hotkey and bind.  God, can you imagine having to remember the keybinds of 2 dozen or more abilities.. makes my head hurt thinking about it. I will not play a game that expects that of me.

by max level youll have 35+ abilities.. which is alright i guess. what i had sissue with is the UI you can ONLY have 2 hotbars bottom center and 1 on each side. this means for alot of abilities your gonna be search side bars for them in the heat of battle. The UI is very restrictive no resizing or repositioning  :(
