Druids suck to kill, rogues will stun and stab you to death before you can get a single hit in on them, and good hunters will kill you before you reach them. So pick one of those.

If this is your first character, pick Hunter with mining and skinning.

actually it almost seems like "girls" that are flirty in mmo's really arnt girls @_@ but alot of girls i've met in game or threw vent act simular to how you describe urself.

I do agree with that. My brother has a char named "Missmandy" and he gets quite a bit of attention from poor, unknowing perveys :)

I am not a dramatic, psychotic pms-ing bitch, and I am not in any way similar to a troll :(   Stop with the stereotypes! I am going to join a guild after a few months of  release.

Why?

Because I haven't even decided if I'm going to play Order or Destruction >.<

Plus playing outside of a guild is nice because your time isn't occupied by the guild needing you for things. You can kinda float around, and group with friends from all different guilds!

I was really, REALLY disappointed in the Warhammer presentation at Comic Con. I was hoping to hear at least ONE thing about the game. Paul is great, but hearing stuff about Warhammer was one of the main reasons I even went to Comic Con!

Although, I DID get Paul's autograph on my Warhammer poster at the end of the presentation, and my name got drawn for the Beta list, and I also got to play the game at their booth... so I probably shouldn't whine...

Yea I always get that" omg why are you playing this for?!!" reaction when people see me or meet me that I met on games but the worst part about it is that if they had met me in person in the first place they usually don't make such a big deal out of the superficial aspects.  I have no idea where the whole idea that you have to be fat ,lazy, and poor to play games come from anyways but it is really annoying when people expect you to be just because you like games. I think you are correct there are alot of healthy, wealthy, active, and attractive gamers  these days and it is very small minded to think otherwise.

Girls have it worse! Ok well, that's not true for the girls with toon names like "KittyKatGirlxxx"... but for us dignified girls, who DON'T ask for help while mentioning that we also have boobs, it can be difficult. I was in vent once when an officer in my guild accidently miss told guild chat, "Well yea she sounds hot but she probably looks like a troll in real life."    >.<

Although my biggest pet peeve is people who fight about shit where everything can read it. If someone stole your kill, please bad talk his mother in whispers because I really doubt anyone else cares. I also hate people that whine!

I play on Blackrock, which is a high population PVP server.

I never had trouble finding people to group with, especially for instances. I just leveled a mage to 70 and a pally to 60 in the last couple months.

The best thing to do is to join a guild and try to always have a lvling partner when possible. Gankers will always be a problem, but if there are two of you they usually won't bother you.

and yes, pick mining and skinning!!! I'm helping my boyfriend lvl his first wow character right now (miner and skinner), and he has more gold than my toons combined  -_-

Well, because the general MMORPG.com l33t gamer is much too good to play World of Warcraft  :p

I've played a wide variety of MMOs. Out of all of them, WoW is the most fun for me. UO was extremely fun, also :)

WoW is by far the most polished MMO I have ever played.

It has tonsss of content. Items, quests, gear, instances...

It has tonsss of players. I love the fact that I never have to look too hard for a group, there are always people questing, trading, chatting, PVPing etc, and about 20 people in my guild I know from real life! After all, isn't that the entire purpose of an MMO, to be social while gaming?

It's understandable that some people wouldn't like this game. The animation is childish compared to most MMOs. However, I prefer awesome content over awesome graphics.

Yes, any 10 year old could play this game, and probably even reach lvl 70. It takes skill and intelligence to be able to play the game well, though.

To me, it's a fun game. I enjoy the time I spend on it. That is all I can ask from a GAME!!!!

Well my personal rule for new OS version releases is wait 3 after release for them to iron out the bugs. Not too many games support DirectX10 yet and most games played with Vista either 1.) suffer incompatibility problems 2.) has negligible increase in performance. I'd probably hold off upgrading to Vista until 2009.

A few of my games couldn't be installed, most importantly Diablo II , and games that ran fine on the same pc before vista are now laggy and cause my cpu to hit crucial temps.

If you're planning to use the pc for gaming, def don't go Vista quite yet. I have vista on my laptop, which I only use for school, and I like it.

Devs have made it clear that this game will not have "just healers."  There is not a single class in this game that is ONLY given the ability to heal, and none of the classes that can heal will be better at healing than the others. I believe they are going for more of a hybrid-healer feel.

I DISLIKE ...  The Lack of New TYPES, or Diversity of spells.    Seems like a Bright Wizard uses the same 2 spells over and over and over again.   Theres no variety in gameplay.  Almost every cast of X spell does the same damage on the same target.

I WANT ... More Spells for each class,  not just 1 thats better then the other,  but different effects,  so that not every Bright Wizard will attack in the same exact way as one another.

I WANT ... More to do,  then just PvP/ PvE.  Show me some Crafting,  Show me Resource Gathering,  Show me other Fun things to do.   I want a presistant world where there are things to do, and fun to be had.

One Word: Beta

 

Other than that, I agree with the appearent lack of Innovation. But I would still rather play a game that uses what works than  a "creative" game that just isn't any good :)
