Actually, I bought The Settlers 2 (10th Anniversary) the other day... |

You are just seeing things. Hehe. Archlord may initially fool you with its atmosphere, graphics and "phat lewt" - the whole theme, if you will. 2Moons, on the other hand, doesn't really have a theme and aesthetically it's just a mess. That said, both games share a high flop-factor which is quite sad as I was hoping for Archlord to succeed... |

This is not a review; it is a list. |

OP: This is the second time you are posting about your "badass" rogue. Did your last attempt at showing off make you feel a bit insecure? Hehe. Post your Amory URL and I'm sure players will be more than helpful to inform you whether your rogue is indeed "badass" or not. |

Death metal! Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, etc... Pretty much the soundtrack to killing. |

I'm not familiar with EverQuest (1), but I'm sure the [outdated] graphics were the reason - even if the gameplay is/was superior to other games. I would like to add that they may have gone a bit too far with the graphics in EQ2; for a MMO the requirements are quite harsh. |

Cheating - I just want to hear you say it
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 8/11/07 8:33:58 PM
I have bought gold online on several occasions and I justify it by the following: In the case of Guild Wars I got scammed* bigtime - the financial blow was devastating. I ended up buying the equal amount online. In the case of World of Warcraft I gave away all my money on a previous account to my buddy (who, of course, quit just after that), finding that re-opening his account (to get the amount back on my new account) would cost more than just buying the amount of gold online, I chose the latter. I bear no shame. *If you find buying gold as cheating then scammers should be put to death IRL. Yes, I seriously mean that. If I got the opportunity to kick someone's a** IRL because of some snot-face seriously scamming me in-game then I would. Call it PvP IRL with consequences. Anyways, I've had a decent amount of beers and drinks tonight, so have a nice one! |

You will get your first Talent Point at level 10, and then one point for each level after that. Talent Points can be spent as you wish in any of your character's three Talent Trees (this menu will become available at level 10). Talent Points spent can be unlearned at any trainer if you wish to spend your points in a different way ("re-spec"). As someone else has already pointed out; if you are planning on grouping for the most part, spend your points in order to heal efficiently. If you are planning on leveling by yourself for the most, then spend your points in order to do damage efficiently (Shadow Priest). If you choose the latter you should be just fine with enough healing to keep yourself alive and do considerable amounts of damage - thus leveling quicker. Getting all skills/ranks - especially the ones you won't be using - is not a must, and getting the cash to train can be a pain at lower levels, so you may want to use your money wisely at start and put some skills on hold. |

Ditto. This game looks like a decent effort. Here's the URL by the way: www.mythos.com/ |

PvP (proof of death heads/ears/hearts)
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 8/10/07 11:03:05 AM
The armors in Warhammer Online seem to be [somewhat] based on trophies. From what I've seen of the concept art, armors start out pretty simplistic then gets bits and pieces added as one progresses. Whether these armor pieces are the same ones that gets upgraded or are in fact totally different pieces, I am not sure of, but the "high end/medium" stuff seems to be "lower end" stuff with additional items/enchantments (depending on race/class) added. Weapons, on the other hand, seem to be swapped for new ones (low/mid/high). I really like the idea; the Goblin Shaman, for instance, already looks like a walking scarecrow made out of roadkill basically (at least from looking at the already released screenshots). |

Perhaps EA-Mythic should reconsider - Male Only Classes
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 8/08/07 5:49:39 AM
Maybe the occasional Chaos Chosen/Marauder female - if any in the game - will show up as a NPC instead. I usually choose female characters in games (if you're gonna spend most of your time watching a character from behind it might as well be a nice view), but if the lore has few (to none?) females in some races then I don't see a problem with that gender not being implemented. I'm sure a more slender and elegant female version of the Chaos Chosen, for example, would look appealing to say the least, but if that isn't the way the story goes then so be it. D'oh! |
