Am back to WoW, and it's still the best.

@OP: You've played Warhammer Online for a long time? Interesting. |

Graphics are the least of WoW's problems. |

There are too many skills/armor+weapon items/potions/gadgets/etc to ever make WoW a skill based game. It's more of a "who-can-find-the-hotkey-for-the-trinket-first?" type of game. Look at Guild Wars; you can only bring 8 skills into a PvP match and if those 8 -eight- skills (+ build) aren't wisely put together you're screwed. Remove resilience from WoW and the PvP might actually be enjoyable at 70, I'm going back to the 59 bracket / 60AV for now. At least a 51* can shine against a 60 if the player is in fact "skilled" (in lack of a better word), while 70 PvP encourages quantity over quality. *Yes, it would be foolish to join a match at level 51 |

I've spoken to numerous players who like the thought of bringing back the magic of the original World of Warcraft (AKA "Vanilla WoW"). The Burning Crusade didn't really have that much new to offer and what it did have to offer "broke the game" to put it bluntly. Kids/immature players would (hopefully) be next to non-existant because of the fact that pre-TBC content is old and outdated which in turn makes it un-cool. Would YOU be interested in joining a "Retro-Realm"? Ideas? Thoughts? |

Originally posted by Scalebane The bonus included with The Frozen Throne (didn't know it was downloadable separately?) does indeed feel like a mini-version of WoW in bird's eye view. A pleasant surprise as it is a pretty solid mini-game in itself - check it out if you haven't, folks! ;D |

I like the "bubblegum flavored" simplicity of WoW; smooth animations, color harmony and high contrasts is what brings the game alive (along with the gameplay) and also what has kept it online for the last 4 years. |

What's your most embarrassing moment in World of Warcraft?
General Discussion « World of Warcraft 9/27/08 1:53:23 PM
I can't point my finger at just one incident because they are quite frankly too numerous to mention, but to give you an idea: Disenchanting the wrong item(s), pulling the wrong mob(s), talking sh*t behind someone's back - or so I thought - when it was in fact the very same player I was talking to, etc., etc... How about you guys? Got any particular stories that just reek of "n00b"? |

List of things Blizzard could learn from WAR.

1. Players have been able to dye their armor in Guild Wars for years... 2. Whatever. How about a post on things that could have an actual impact on a game? |

It's World of Warcraft - you will at all times be surrounded by morons. |

NatWest is a [real life] banking company. It's probably just someone's bank character, since advertising bots are no more than level 1 (then deleted in a hurry). I see the occasional bank character and/or guild named after Norwegian banks at least, so chances are the international corporations, etc., will be used as well for naming purposes. |

So... is there ANY truth to this or is it simply a rumor that has somehow infested a vast majority of random forums on the 'Net? |

Warcraft was originally intended to be Warhammer, but because Games Workshop withdrew their license (and other complications) Bizzard ended up making their own lore and in that way released what may have an astounding (but not surprising) similarity to Warhammer. ...or so I've heard. |
