Which time setting is your favorite????

 All of this sounds like another battle between:

Dream vs Reality, in where features try to make the dreams a bit real.... (just a bit)

Dream: One persistant world, everyone can socialize and such.. and give the feel of a continuos virtual world like in RL.

Reality: There is limits to host such thing, like hardware power limits... It can be easy to host a 32 player FPS match, but one that never ends with 100000 people on it... and hell of a big one.. is kinda tough... not to mention the net bandwidth needed for that.

Dream: you like to go outside and invite people to play with you and do quests be friends, talk or pwn some other players in pvp. (or PK...)

Reality: Some people are big d...ks and dont invite you to do anything.. they just keep moving and forget about you.

Dream: Getting into the big massive world filled with people give you sensation that you are with your peers doing fun stuff... and that helps can come by.. easily.. sometimes it does.. some other times... is other story

Reality: People start competing with each other a lot, and when the group is full you got to wait to do a quest.. that this group is doing becaues they pwn the big boss and you need to wait for respawn. Also you need to kill 15 of X monster but there is a line of 30 people killing the same mob.. you are the warrior and you runing to catch a monter you need to kill.. and then some spell caster shot it from distance and tag it.. you have to wait.

Dream: You do a dungeon in a persistant world.. and you do your story with your friends and such.. hoping that everyone respect your game and say hi to other groups or mix up groups....

Reality: Some people in instances dont care about you and kill your mobs, (BOTS FARMING). driving you mad and sometimes bugging your quests.

Dream: you go pwn mobs and bosses and loot your stuff and get tougher

Reality: Ninja Looter!

Dream: In open world you are fighting a boss and win..

Reality: A bunch of old mobs you already killed, respawn and take you into a free tour into the graveyard.

I know you guys could think on more things that makes persistant world hateful.. for those that like instances.. and others that hate instances will come with a list of reasons to like persistant world or open world....

For me I like something in the middle.. in where you can see some people.. pvp.. and such, something that gives a felling of RL, but at the same time some instancing because too much people at the same time will start too feel like over populated meaning the problems I just said... Like mob stealing and performance trouble, even ninja looting. Is like... we want people.. but too much isnt cool.. and too little isnt cool too...

Hm.. you guys suggest some sort of NCsoft Station Pass???? That will be cool... but, who exactly knows what kind of enterprise model ncsoft have... maybe they cant do that so easy. 

I never played Auto Assault.. but i hear it was bad on suscription base... i mean low population...

The point is... what makes people go away....

and more importantly is...  dont do again what makes people run...

The real question... Is TR doing the same mistakes that drive Auto Assault to its RIP?

How dead is TR right now???? or you are just kidding that is dead?

More time means better if they are used correctly? Worst if you just screw around.. because what you have done gets old and you waste money?

Have you guys ever wonder.. why if this was in development for so much time... years i think.... the final released game fells so empty... I mean... there was a lack of a bunch of things.. that after years and years of development you will expect...

I hear they revamp everything in the game twice... but.. that means that they delete just everything and start again.. is that smart at all???

and even if they revamp.. i guess there is always a good content around like that tree model over there.. the animation right there and the hot girl down there.. you know what i mean???

Also pondering AION... look so cool... any idea about the release date?

hm... no tabula rasa.... lol.... I dunno what to say... but AION look cool but is in closed beta.. and is P2P if you dont mind waiting some months and the monthly suscription..... aka..... cash got busted... then AION is the one....  For a game to play right now... I dunno which one to say.... I still playing some games and see if i stay in one for some time before AION...

I liked PW too, even with the grind, but it got just way too laggy to play.  Every game with a player storefront (feature where the player sets up a booth to sell stuff) seems to have this problem.  That system encourages people to keep their toon constantly logged in to sell stuff, or to make alt mule accounts to be constantly logged in and selling their loot.  It greatly increases the number of people who are logged into the game server at any given time and makes moving about the social hubs where most people gather a slideshow from all the lag.

 

It was a cool feature but just not practical in practice.

So far I'm liking Mabinogi.  It has a grind but it doesn't feel so much like one and has a great deal of customization for how you build your character.  Plus no player booths. 

Yeah... i get PW and I notice all those player vendors.. auction house could be better

Hey guys i get into perfectworld.com.. and i see a chinesse version of perfect world one.. and a perfect world 2 in chinnese.. and some other games...

I am kinda confuse because the english version is call perfect world .. just perfect world.. but it looks new... Is the perfect world one in english the same as perfect world 2 in china.. or is a melt of the two chinnese perfect worlds????????

here i have been playing guild wars for months... played tabula rasa for 1 month and half or two... then i keep up guild wars and then i get something of FPS... but FPS or whatever isnt really my thing for much (only like UT series)... RPG!!!! is the real fat here!!!!
