You might want to check out Earthrise if you havent already.  Not exactly what you want but it, from what we've been told, seems like the best bet for you.

What about up keep of gear....That should probly cost you 5 dollars per item per week....that may not be hard core enough....but hell we arent all rich.

What genre is this going to be in.... I hope its a post-apocalyptic sci-fi fantasy with hints of FPS game play!!!!

Will there be mounts/vehicles?!?!  Because if there is, they should be able to be shot out and perma die.  Also they should have to eat/fuel up at ridicules intervals depending on how fast you have traveled...Plus you could determine travel distances by what kind of food/fuel you put in...Plus dont forget about tire pressure!!!

Im sorry but I do not understand the point of paying for in game items.  I play MMORPG's to get away from reality and have fun not to spend money trying to upgrade my ship so I can "PWN JOO SO HARD!!!"   Along with this decision if they decide to make the game "with a lower barrier to entry than is the norm" which means a dumbed down version, it would be nice if he would have called it for what it was, they will in MY opionion go down as the biggest flub up of a MMORPG IP EVER....so Im sure SOE has their fingers crossed

Ive played SWG, and WoW...and i can also agree with the person that this guy that i quoted freaked out on. I do agree...i never really liked SOE, and now i dont really like blizzard (ooooo now thats a surprise) i stopped liking WoW mainly because of many many reasons but its too boring to get into detail...in simple terms: the game just plainly sucks. I mean come on seriously, why would i want to waste my time in a virtual world that is overrun with immature "ithinkimsocoolandbetterthanyoulookatmylvl70pallyomfg!!!" players. Its a joke...and jus tlike SOE did, blizzard is taking a once really good franchise and ruining it because they can. Ive been following on the lore since WC1 and by the time WoW comes along everything got redone and screwed up. I play games to immerse my self in the world's history...to make a character that will (in my own travels by questing and such) make their own history in that world...this world is so messed up im surprised that it still functions. But nuff said from me, im just giving my own opinions, unlike mr ihatetheworldimcoolerthanyouall who i quoted off of.

Very interesting I like it but the fact that every 3 months a new evolution, that seems a bit fast.  A new evolution should be a major thing, oh I dont know something like and expansion, or at least a MAJOR update like once a year.  Cool concept but could be very hard to pull off I trhink, definalty would need to think outside of the box on this one

There is no sense in talking about SOE anymore, even if all the games that SOE publishes and develops are awesome it still wont stop people from saying "I HATE SOE BECAUSE THEY SCREWED UP SOME GAMES YEARS AGO!!!"    I think its time to get over it people, SOE may or may not have ruined your game, but I feel they are going to be PUBLISHING some quality games made by quality DEVELOPERS and if you cant see the difference then you are as ignorant as SOE and there is no sense in trying to talk to you.
