All I can say is this game is amazing. No other mmo I've tried endear me except this.

Ryzom is just like a most beloved old flame where you may want to fool around with other mmo but in the end, you'll just fall back into this.

Actually the main reason behind its 'fall' is the lack of marketing which ironically is also what makes this game so great. Commercializing it will attract those impulsive youngsters I'll say who will ruin the community.

Can Asian countries play this client? Anyone can confirm it?

Saga  of ryzom has no buyer currently so why not just try out the free trial (http://www.ryzom.com/newcomer/game-download )and buy the 8USD retail box(gogamers.com) where the code will give you unlimited access to the game for free(no monthly subs which is previously required) at least till a buyer is found. Why not? Help save this game!

Can any lawyers or experts in gaming industry explain why those farmers are not sued? Out of curiosity, i goggled powerlevel and springs up hundreds of such companies.With those famers, there will no longer be quality of gameplay as money can buy you anything. Why are giants games like WOW or EQ2 let such companies hang out there and earn a share of their creation. I heard of rumour such farmers actually increase MMO's companies sales. Someone care to share their expertise?

Well, I heard there is character wipe after obt , so no point grinding out now, just do some levels to get the feel and wait for release. So the big ? ,when does it release? Anyone knows?

PS. lotsa comments about it being grindfest, its F2P, what you expect. Don't like then don't play, dont complain, they dont own us anything. Anyway which mmo don't require grinding? Tell me please cause that game will give a whole new definition to MMO

Hi all, just wanna pen down some thoughts about games over the years,feel free to comment. BTW i run a company in RL and wanna suggest how gaming industry might be improve.

Before MMO popularized, many of us are still playing interactive single player games where there are alot of stuff to do etc puzzles. But nowdays there are many MMO which are so called grinders where you just kill mobs, level, go new map, upgrade equip and do it all over again till u are 100+. 

It just shows how uncreative many MMO companies are, still sticking to the outdated style. The primitive MMO are grinders just to kick things off and many are hooked, reckon due to the interation between RL people- I don't think anyone would want to grind mindless in a single player game.  I guess it's time to upgrade our gaming industry.

Powerhouse companies for games like (erm you all should know), are having power instead of customers. When this happens, don't expect much improvement.It is proving to be a good profit market as many of us spoil them. Customers are not discerning enough to make them feel competitive.  Some  good potential or old  popular mmo are  not moving at all  maybe due to the fact  people will just sub/buy no matter what since many are hook at higher levels and not willing to give up their time and effort spent levelling. Content are just twist and turned, new mmo/expansion are nothing new, merely different settings/maps/skills etc. Seriously, demand affect supply and more than other way round. Can't really blame the companies not been more creative  if they have huge turnover year after year without having to work much. They will only panic when supply starts to drop and $ not coming in.

Anyway, these comments are more directed to P2P games, we have no rights to complain about F2P since they own us nothing and provide us free service. It is true societies worldwide are more affluent now, $15permth is nothing much. But it comes down to paying for quality and making profiteers work for their salary. Personally, I dont buy uncreative expansion new mmo with great hype because it is just another vicious cycle. And for people who whine at others who whine, guess what, without the critics the world won't be a better place.

On a good note, we have to give credit to games like WOW/EVE/DAOC. They revolutionised mmo and give us something to spend on free time on. But it has been years, old products are eithered drastically improved upon or sell at much cheaper price. However it seems everyting is the same in the gaming world.
