The hair textures is physiqued (it moves) and is the exact same as the Age of Conan hairs, possibly the most graphically demanding MMO atm. In fact Aion's hairs are superior to AoC's in my book.

Her eyes are that way because that's the way her player made her... There's also nothing 'wrong' with them either. My avatar is also an Aion character and there's nothing odd or wrong with those eyes.

The textures are very well painted and yes it does look hand painted, I don't see how that's a bad thing, it is not meant to be photo realistic like Conan or Vanguard (lol), although it is still rather close.

The only reason I can see you people rebutting is because you simply don't like the style. But you just can't say it looks 'sucky' lol.

And if you insist then list me MMO games that are better and we'll compare, but I highly doubt you'll find anything, unless it's AoC and they have their own issues.

 

 

I meant the opposite with polygons.

Like i said, the graphics are way above standard for a f2p game, but for games in general, they are below average.

Good news everyone!

Last night we made a WB on Darklands server, and we SMASHED destro for almost 6 hours straight. We were doing pure ORVR, so the scenarios we were loosing like 150/500, but in ORVR we owned every cap, including theirs :)

Its not pwning order when there is a ratio of 3:1, its called a bunch of 14 year olds who think they are hardcore. Its similar to WoW, they are the type who go rouge class and try to tank aswell as DD and then rage at the healers when they die.

I would rather be in Order if it meant the people there are much friendlier, which they are from my experience.

The graphics do look crap, compared to the top MMORPGs. Though its probably the best for a free MMORPG.

This game sucks, its like they tried to do a Maplestory remake, and cash in on some of that fame, but they totally failed.

Haha, you claim to know a thing or two about computing, yet you dont even understand how XTrap works.

If you don't like Wow you won't like RoM either. But I am kinda suprised that you like WAR then because it is also a Wow clone even though it is more PvP based.

WAR is ok but it sure isn't the best. In a PvP duel for one thing, Guildwars is miles more intresting. In a bigger battle Mythic beats themselves because DaoC got that a lot better.

RoM is the best F2P game out there. It is not as good as most games with a monthly fee but it costs a lot less so just take things for what they are. Go and download 10 other F2P and test and you get my point.

I wouldnt say WAR is like WoW, they all have their similarities, but they are all MMORPG's so thats bound to happen. I like WAR because of its feature to have harcore PVP at lvl 1.

I have played F2P games all my life, WAR is the first game i actually bought. The others i used friends accounts or trials.

I would rather play Maplestory, Rappelz or even Tibia than RoM :)

If you have to play a game for hours, maybe days or even weeks just for it to become "fun", then its a grind whore. Not a game at all, is it? This game sucks! Those who enjoy it are easily amused or have very little RPG experience.

Says a destro player. Not so fun for order, thats why we dont do it as much. Dont you notice the ORVR zones being flooded with only destro players, and your just standing around waiting for a fight with an order character, that only happens once per hour... We spend our time doing scenarios, where its more ballanced.

I was just tossing out "for instance" numbers. In fact, it would take some careful study by Mythic to determine what the best sort of changes should be made for maximum effect.

Why would you find it hard to believe that someone would not have played Wow, just because it has been out for years? I have been playing MUD"S and MMO"S for 20+ years and I have yet to try WOW. I looked at the game a few times via video's and have followed a few forums here and there, but I will never try WOW. The game just does not interest me and nothing they can do to it will cause me to change my mind about it.

I bet, there are more than just me and the Op that have not tried WOW.  Just thought I would let you know that is it possible to have gamed for years and not have the desire to touch WOW.

I agree, right now, the only cure for imbalanced servers is to beef up the order characters so that they are essentially overpowered, that will encourage multitudes of players to reroll and play since they won't want to be on the "weaker" side.

Forget about beefing up exp gains, add 20% more hp's, or make order characters to 20% more dps... and you'll see people flock to that side.  Jack it back down once the balance gets a bit more even.

I'm not saying theres no grind, its just very little grind. And the fact that its mostly PVP grind make its unpredictable and fun. The only bad thing about PVP grind is imballances and overpopulation.

Well mostly it is because of the low polygon count and cartoony gfx. I prefer gfx more like Crysis, AoC, EQ 2. WoW type of gfx, which WAR has, is a turnoff for me. What particulary ticks me of is that DAoC had better spell effects and animations than WAR which is weird since it is apparently developed by the same company.

Yeah, i see what you mean. Though they take a lot of effort to make graphics that good. In my opinion, AoC and LoTRO (The only 2 games with realistic graphics) have terrible gameplay! They should be spending more effort onto gameplay than graphics, which is what they did with WoW.

If you look at the concept art on the WAR website, you will see how they were originally going to make it look, like an actual anime game. :/

Eaxtly, and we have told the developers this many times, yet they said they have no plans what so ever to implement this. Also this game is a totttaaallll pointless grind! It has no rewards what so ever, not to mention the massive imballances with classes.

Just hitup youtube for "Epic 5 part 2 chaos magician pvp" and you will see why a chaos magician can solo a party of 8 players 5 levels higher than him.

This game is really fun for the first doesen levels, i found it quite the grind fest after that. Also it wasnt that rewarding, at all. Lack of content on top of all that. What level are you now? I quit before reaching 15.

My personal opinion: Its a good MMORPG, but in comparission to other RPGs, it lacks alot.
