Don't roll any class. Wait for SW TOR :)

This game is an asian grinder in space where you are a ship at least half of the time. The game consists of kill 5 rats  over and over again level 1 to lvl last. dont let the "trolls" who deffend this game tell you  any different.

Seriously?

Are you that big of a coward you had to come to this place to go on a racist tangent? Are you trying to convince us that you are the victim of some terrible injustice? LOL. What is the point to your post?

I see a few guys criticizing the OPs poll. I think it's brilliant and he he be a pollitical pollster:

Do you approve of Obama and his policies that are bankrupting our nation, destroying jobs, redistributing wealth ect ect?

A.) Yes I approve

B.) No, I am obviously racist.

gg OP haha.

I would give this game a try even if it was made by Obama or $cientologists. Star Wars in Azeroth? Hell yeah!! Who could pass that up??!  It would be like watching a Star Wars story starring you on the big screen at the multiplex  in Ogrimmar or Stormwind if you swing that way..

will the game cap you at max  T1 lvl so you can play forever with a lvl 10-11 toon or does it tell you you have to pay to continue to play that toon?

I think most of us that recognize the biblical failure of this game figured they would consider going F2P sooner rather than later, but this is even sooner than I expected.  The game was so content barren, I'm wondering what kind of ridiculous restrictions they could put on F2P players to get them to play the game for more than a few hours without having to buy content from the c-store.

Pay for pvp. And, charge you in the C store for the playable race of the space retards. Those guys from the TNG episode where they get Geordi because he is smart and he can make them go. Free to play, just kill 5 rats, or groups of rats in space ship suits over and over again.

This is the only logical thing I can see them charging for, as its the only thing that makes the game an mmo. Well, I guess they could charge for the borg instances and stuff they added.

^ This. First person I have noticed who understands that SWG was NEVER in anyway shape or form Star Wars...3 stormtroopers in the middle of nowhere doing jumping jacks by a flag.. lol

Anyway- description alone can't sell it or kill it! Fun! At all costs!

None of you people seem to get this thread. I'm trying to propose games like "Desert Bus" (ones that suck) and you're trying to compare to awesome games like Burger Time?

Have any of you even seen the movie "the producers"? There's kind of a point to be had here.

What? Im trying to help you out with this Prison MMO..Just from my brieif Idas, it only sounds slightly better than STO, that being said it still sucks... The point is Drakfall, AoC WAR, CO and STO make money....so yeah you could make billions

It's true that something extraordinarily crappy can make a lot of money based on the idea "it's so bad, you need to see it". I am not at all referring to any current game or ones coming out, what I am talking about is making an online game with the sole intent to make it craptastic. I'm not sure about how to actually finance this kind of thing, but chances are that even as an amateur project you can get advertising. So use that advertising to piss people off as applicable too, heh. Anyway, onto some horrible game ideas.

1. Prison MMO - An online chat room where you are stuck in a cell for 23 hours, real-time, and you are seeded with the same 3 random players to the same cell by account. You have limited chat range to others in cells around you, and GMs tend to walk the halls and let their friends who play convicts stroll by and pee on you. Even when you logoff  your avatar remains and is defenseless against stabbings and sodomy. The one hour you actually get to play something takes place in the yard, where you will do exercise minigames to "get yoked" and fend off random stabbings. The game has a player-driven economy based on crafting from waste products. Use the money on your books to buy a pack of abba zabba's, those then can be traded out for other items like packs of smokes, and the cellophane can be crafted with a butt-smuggled lighter to make a shank. Every new player has a random crafting tool smuggled in via poop chute in order to feed the economy and trade up for other items.

2. It-Has-To-Be-From-Japan MMO - A colorful and cliche game of round things straight out of Pikmin and Pokemon that mutter annoying sounds with great repetition. The UI has no words, it's only squiggly lines, and anything that attaches to your hotbar is bound to be worthless and have no point in gameplay. Then there is the point that even if you figured that much out, this is no gameplay to even worry about. All you do is roam around trying out random/useless emote-type actions on NPCs and other players. Did I mention chat makes words into squiggles too? Need to have that.

3. Maternity Ward MMO - You log into a room full of cribs as a baby, along with all of the other players playing babies, and compete for who can cry the loudest. Nobody ever comes to feed you, you're not getting changed, and your parents are already on their way back to Vegas.

4. Line Simulator MMO - You log into a line and can complain about it to the people next to you. You have a hunger, thirst and bathroom meter that needs to be filled, and if it goes empty you pass out or shit yourself. To prevent this you need to go to concessions and wait in line to eat/drink, or to the bathroom and wait in line there. Once you fill the meter in danger of going flat, you go back to the end of the original line.

would have to be a prison mmo lol...but you could leave your cell to go to the chow hall, or talk to your layer..go into the yard for your hour a day maybe. Hey! Cryptic could make it!! There wouldnt have to be any hallways, just load... between your cell and destination. In fact, they could just reskin STO, from the reskin of CO, and hell you could even have pvp trying to keep people out of your a..............

I need to give more ideas.. Hypotheticly Cryptic is making this prison mmo, they charge the standard 15 bucks a month, and then have a cash shop to sell shanks for pvp 500 Cryptic points for a toothbrush shank or 800 for a spoon shank..maybe even soap bars that wont slip from your hands in the shower...Man, this would be a WoW killer.

Even just going back to pre-CU would be good enough for me. They would have to take out the zombies though.

Errr Zombies in pre-CU?

You think that listing would be enough??
LoL.
BTW. Where's the toilet in your listing...?

Next to the bathroom ;)

I was using housing as example, you can add any entry like combat, classes, crafting, space content, races...

For the Fun of it, but who knows "Always in motion is the future"...

I would have the game be Star Wars, or resemble Star Wars outside of the skins.

Reminds me at launch I used to call the game CaveMan Galaxies TM, with Jantas using stone knives owning us and our laser pistols and rifles.

LOL yeah good times.

my favorite was doing my part in the GCW.. going on the internet to get a mission to drive 4.3 billion miles out into the middle of nowhere, and driving up 90 degree cliff faces to get there.... Arriving at an imperial banner with 3 storm troopers chillin and dancing and doing jumping jacks. I shoot once and then all 3 come up and Jackie Chan me. After beating them, I shoot the flag for 1/2 an hout till it explodes with effects to rival both Death Stars..

LOL good times.

Point is at this time they don't go the their current datacenter or have hands on with it... More players are NA. NA servers are cheaper. NA servers tends have better ping globally around the world.

In Short NA servers should come first.

What makes you think most players are from NA? Just curious from where this "fact" comes from.

Are americans more keen on throwing away money on things they know nothing about?

Yes...

Well Obama got voted into office so tragicly the answer is yes.

Reading all the hate here I thought a game could possible not be that bad, just Informed responisble consumers with common sense stating fact.

I spent ages getting Beta download and tried the game, all I can say is WOW... I am astonished at how bad this game is, even to call it a beta is a insult.

I would serisouly call it a pre-Alpha version, no.. I'm not trying to troll but give my real perspective on what I feel this game is.

The GUI is clunky, the Hud and reaction to your button presses sometimes do not even trigger. The harvesting is slow and clunky, the combat is just well I do not have words to describe it!

THe whole games mechanics are just really bad and insulting to a humans intelligence!

I give them one thing on their side, buetiful world and graphics.. but again and again I repeat myself liek I did in AoC launch.. Graphics these days do not cut it, its all about gameplay I'm afraid espeically in mmo's.... and this MO is far from anything gameplay fun wise.

What are your thouhts so far after trying BETA? I feel they have made a bad move, alot people will see how bad this is and not even attempt to try it to pay now..........................

Fixed...you guys keep mixing up the most important details..

Seriously it's like life it self to them.

I honestly feel the real trek fans love the game.

Which is really silly, because the game is in no way shape or form Star Trek.

This is indisputable.

Sounds like Tasos.

I do agree its not an MMO its a co-op game and therefore shouldnt draw a subscription. Apart from that its a fun light break in current mmo poop.

I guess everyone agrees that WoW is an MMO, what makes WoW an MMO and STOL not?

When i play WoW i go out into the world and do quests

When i play STOL i go out into the world and do quests after I load...... from the room I got the quest in. Then I load....out of space dock. Then I load....into the lame grid map. Then I click on a name and auto fly to a system. then I load.....into the system kill 5 patrolls then load......back to the lame grid map. over and over and over again.

When i play WoW i see lots of people running around  in the cities

When i play STOL i see lots of people running around in the Space dock (lobby)

When i play WoW i go to dungeons and co-operate with others

When i play STOL i go to certain systems and join with others to kill big NPCs. Only because I am thrust in with them by the game. There is no communicaton or tactics, team work friendship or comraderie.

When i play WoW i quest with my friends

When i play STOL i quest with strangers I am thrust into shoebox instances with.

When i play WoW i buy stuff from others on the auction house

When i play STOL i buy stuff from others on the auction house

Etc

Etc

fixed.

You can't really give a truthful review of an MMO until you have given it at least the first 30days.  I am enjoying STO so far and I have been playing since OB.  There is alot of stuff to do, I just don't think alot of people are taking the time to find it.  Alot of these "I am bored" reviews seem to only mention a tiny portion of the game (like the grindy patrol/defend/exploration missions) and don't really give any assesment on what they though about the episodic mission, Competative PvE or Fleet Engagement stuff.  Of course, I was bored to tears with WoW after only a coupld of weeks...so to each their own I suppose.

wrong.

Seeing others cannot connect your post is FAIL and a poor attempt at trolling.

nah, when I posted only the OP was there. And I love how you children say stating fact is trolling..  My post is nothing but fact

this is indisputable
