I still find it interesting that the European community manager responds sticking up for the U.S. community manager ;)
We should not expect that every community manager of a game is monitoring every single site together, every cm is checking the very same site and respond if they were called. We should not expect that the european cm will alert the american one in these cases, to register, be familiar with the community of a specific, previously not visited site just so we can get the very same answer the european one can give to us. :) Usually, things dont work that way - especially not before the actual start of the ad works. (ofc that doesnt rule out the possibilty that the american cm is here aswell, but it doesnt really matter whos gonna answer if the answer would be the very same.) Every cm has his own stuff to do, every cm is monitoring different sites (to cover as much areas as they can), and every cm represents each other under the same company. These guys have a lot of things to do beside reading forums we just cant expect that every single one of them is everywhere. This applies not just for Aion CMs, but cms of every game. Theres nothing personal in these lines, its not really a response to your quoted sentence, just ive felt we should be reminded how hard is to be a cm and how things really works in these cases. |

Since NA/Eu advertising, marketing, PR have not yet even started, you cant expect htem to be everywhere in masses. Still, we got Ayase here watching over our shoulders, and they communicate with every worthy fansites pretty often. We just dont know what will happen when the game will be released, but if they remain this active and commited to the game, nothing wrong can happen regarding this matter. Too early to judge that. |

Since the official champaign for marketing and PR-ing Aion has not yet even started in our regions, what do you expect? In this state of the game, all of the above is totally normal. When the game (localization) reaches a point where they can finally start advertising, and when the official site will start to live (not as of now), then you can expect more. Until then, no point to worry about these.
And, of course, you cant make such judgements until you havenot participated in it yourself and simply relying on korean infos. The game just got your attention too early. Wait a half year, then check again, everything will be different. |

First korean closed beta testers were on this same opinion. The game was so polished and full of content, theyve said the same thing: "this game is so complete, it could be released tomorrow" There was only 1 (!!!) crash through the whole test and there were only a few gameplay bugs. Most of the reported problems were only graphical bugs and such. Of course, that was only the first 20 levels.
In CBT2 devs implemented lots of new things, features, so obviously they need some more testing for those and ofc for the endgame content and that had changed. So yeah, based on stability and gameplay of cbt1 that statement is not that big. |

"Another thing to keep in mind (though some might not like it) is that this is meant to be a casual game." Its NOT. Game is hc pvp(ve) with casual elements, so casual players can too enjoy the game and become hc-s. Watch the Ken Choi Episodes for clarification, he clearly says its not a casual game. + the pve content is one of the toughest, hardest weve seen so far according to testers.
Aion is definitely not a casual game but has options to play it that way. |

Indeed, no xp loss or DP in Abyss (but in other areas there is, so pvp through Rifts will have them) As Ephimero said, there are the Abyss points (check Jamien's translations about the Abyss (2 articles) - main source of all our Abyss infos). All your endgame actions will be measured and you gain/lose ABP-s based on them.

Can you please give me any official source on that?
Ive read the pre-cbt1 interviews about the 9 sections (devs couldnt describe how big Abyss will be), then in April they released the pictures of the 3 Abyss maps (the same ones which were presented on G*07 on concept arts). Jameinkaiser translated that one (Analyzing Abyss), it didnt mention a thing about 9 sections. In fact, they never mentioned the 'magic number 9' again since cbt1.
Maybe I missed some official comment or whatnot, but i got the feel we only have this 3 sections for release, and they will add possible layers later on, many months after launch. Abyss test will be in stage 3. I dont think there will be more testing stages for every section of the Abyss, so unless they surprise us and pack all 9 sections into this test, there wont be more sections than that 3 :(

Also the Abyss is all complete , good job NcSoft :)
Yeah, all the three layers of it..... what, we expected like 9 layers?
Im not quite sure 3 layers could offer enough endgame activity for a long time, but well, who knows. I remember theyve said how enourmous size Abyss will have, i just cant imagine this 3 layers could fill all that role. We'll see, we'll see, im a bit worried though.

There are more ships like that, this is a simple transportation ship (or more like the Cylon resurrection ship from BSG)!
You can actually attack these ships, and after weakening them (since they are organic), deactivating shields, etc, you can invade them and as a raid dungeon, you can clear and destroy them from inside!!! //G*07 interview//
Thats why Abyss is the most awesome place in the world:) |

They were banished from Atreia to an other dimensional plane, but after they managed to destroy the Tower (due to a betrayal), everything changed, the world became this twisted apple, and in the middle of the destroyed Tower huge portals opened. Since there is no balance and harmony in this world since the catastrophy, the Balaur can create portals between their world and Atreia.
So they live in an other dimension, but they are expanding their territory again, starting from the middle. |

Again, im not against paying well deserved money for their work. Im against stuffs which are bothering me ingame when im about to play a fantasy game. I play because i dont want to be bothered with real life in those hours, i want to emphatize myself into the game. Ingame cash-notify windows, coined items @ vendors..these are things that ruining my gameplay. That is why i dont want coins. Not to mention ingame economy and hard effort to get items...

How are you so sure that those stupid coins wont appear in the game?
I really really hope you can give us some statement about this (i havent seen one so far), coz i live in fear since they came up with those coins... I havent waited for this game for 2 years (spending 18hrs every day with Aion adv) just to realize this will have that idiot system. I would gladly pay 3x more for monthly fee, just dont ruiin my ingame fun with those non-fantasy elements Cash-windows would bring into it. |

i would gladly help with aion news.
However i think the main reason for the lack of news is that till NC doesnt start its own advertising projects in eu/us, this site is not interested in the game, since they wont get money for it. Why do you think WHO and AoC is on the main page whenever a single new screenshot arrives? Money, money, money. |

Little correction here: - CBT cap in stage 1 was 25, stage to will be extend it to 35. There was never an announcement about OB. - Asmodian dont grow wings is an old thing. They wont have feathered ones, instead they have bat-like ones. - The "weather affects skills' feature was removed from the game, however will affect the growth of crafting materials and other things. - There was no press release about "no dungeons in Aion". Theyve said from beginning 10% of the game will be instanced. For story missions and for some raids. - Raids (or Force as koreans refer to it) will be with 4 party max, which is 24 players.
- There will be set bonuses, but only in end-game contents.
- THERE ARE NO ANNOUNCED RELEASE DATES!!!!!!!! only estimated ones, which are highly doubtful. (best estimated release in Korea is May-June and Sept-Nov EU/US release)
