The Xbox 360 is a piece of crap. I asked the man at the store, will this play regular Xbox games? He said yes if you download the  updates. I said "Thats ok we will just get 360 games then." Guess what, you have to have updates to PLAY 360 GAMES. Some of them anyway. Lego Star Wars is at least one. This is fine if you can readily attach the damn thing to the internet, but if you cant, its gonna make you wanna jump off a bridge.

SO for people out there like me who want NOTHING to do with the internet on your GAME FREAKIN CONSOLE dont get one.

Well every next generation console now has something to do with the web, even the ps3 has to connect to the net to play some games I think ( or it may be just to patch somethings) , and the wii  I have no clue about. besides I thought every household had Internet currently, but I guess I was wrong.

Well here is what happened. My videocard's heatsink collected so much dust that the fan in it got stuck in the dust and messed up the whole heatsink. Yes I am serious and please do stop laughing. So what does that have to do with these two games? Well I'm in the middle of the LOTRO trial when it happened and by the time I get my new heatsink... I will not have anymore trial left (and I only played 2-3 hours worth).

So unless I go buy the game, I have no idea what is going on. FFXI on the other hand, I have a copy of that $2 starter set in front of me, waiting for my new heatsink. Well I will try out FFXI but I need a bit of info to see if its worth trying LOTRO. Now many of these questions I understand are opinion but that is what I ask from you guys, your opinions.

Which do you guys find more fast paced? More team-orientated? Which feels like you have more options? Is the fact that FFXI has been out A LOT longer reflect the amount of content and community as compared to LOTRO? And of course, the opinion of all opinions, which do you like more?

FFXI being the longest mmo I have ever played, totaling more than 5 years, this game is great and caters to the more mature audience, there is very much to do and is very group oriented game, you will not be able to solo any mobs unless you are some specific job like Beast tamer for example, but even that can be tedious at times if not done right, the population in the game is not what it was when I first started playing it, but it's there, there are a few more populated servers than others. Depending on your profession it can take quite some time to get a good party, that's why you should do a little research on job picking before you start, your character can be multiple jobs at the same time, there are a lot of jobs to chose from, the one main thing you need to ask yourself is if you will dedicate quite a lot numbers of hours and if you have patience when it comes to partying with other people, could literally take hours and it's no joke, but once you get a party going you can last hours, my record of partying in that game was 11 hours lol (but that's another story) if you can spend the time I would highly recommend this game, it feels so rewarding when you get stuff done and it actually feels like it was well worth the effort! there is hundreds of quests, lots of crafting like alchemy/woodwork etc, you will never have nothing to do. there have been many expansions since release date but you can start off with the basic one, the expansions opens an already huge world even further to lv 50+. there is also pvp and all that stuff, that mmo is complete besides LOTRO in my opinion, and no it is not fan-boysm but anyone who have played FFXI would agree, and the ones that have not made it pass lv 6 do not count. The game is also getting a graphics overhaul in the comming year, which will be nice. considering all my points if your up to the task you will enjoy the game so much.

300 ping? try 500-700, and it is not only us but a lot of people complaining, besides that the game is great, but it suffers greatly from lag spikes, especially at high activity hours (many people on) but it seems to have gotten worse as the opening of the beta, they say they are fixing it, but we see more responses about it being fixed by fans of the game than the actual moderators, I stopped playing it till they fix it, and yes I know it is in malay servers, and?  it is Asia's wow remember? so I think they could have enough income to fix their servers, but I think that maybe they will not cater to american players like they will to their malay ones, the game has a huge following in Asia (Asia's wow), I hope it will not end up being crappy server performance for NA players like  RYL2, then again I don't think moderators would care, as long as Malay players are happy.

Was wondering which would you guys prefer? I was a bit curious, I have been playing on Aria servers and am finding a good strong community for different tasks, like partying and questing, for all those of you playing on Gametribe how are the servers there?

The one thing I hate about wow is the overall addiction.

Try LC, Rappelz is worst than Final Fantasy XI back in the day with item prizes, there is so many currency sellers in game as well, LC is more calm and the community is nice.

I played back in 2001 for almost 4 years, I deleted my char though, I wonder if I could get it back....it would be the only way for me to go back, that char had millions and I would love to try Wings of the Goddess.

I played this game for a little while, had two characters 30+, loved the Kingdom quests, so fun, but that was all for me, what really killed it for me though is the synth methods they have for upgrading the weapons, they are so low, you end up wasting tons of money because of the breakage ratio, I'm not sure if they implemented a success enhancement rate or something by now, also those gold selling bots are just ridiculous, they are everywhere 24/7 spamming the log, the GM's are no help either, and behave like children and feel the need to prance around the city and spawn mobs within the city walls and create great lag, so ignorant, anyways I might play the game&game servers when open beta is up, I have a feeling that their version may be a more stable and complete version of the asian game.

Is it true that once the trial key is over, you can still keep playing the game? and btw, do you have to purchase the game?

You could try Fiesta Online,  it's currently in Closed Beta phase 2, but I bet if you register you will get an invite, it's surprisingly good, Deco Online suffer too much of lag spikes and also graphical glitches, I do not recommend that game as of right now, you may also wanna look into Immortals online, graphics kinda reminds me of Wow in a way, a bit of a grind but you may surpass that, anyways gl.

Don't listen to the ones hating on the game, it's a great experience for newcomers, if you enjoyed EQ1, you may  like the depth of this one as well, try it out for yourself and you be the judge.
