You are welcome. But right now my ranger is camping in Villa Arosi and she probably wont get out there for the next few weeks. Those freaking necros are camping me. Seems i have to stay :P

I am swearing at the screen because my ranger is so bad at soloing. Whenever an add runs through the whole zone to kill me i want to kill a dev. But i cant stop smiling... something must be good

in a rating of 1-10 hoe bugged do you think it is?

 5 bugs /annoyances in 40 levels.

1) the cotton harvesting bug  - Was fixed last patch

2) A few quests are sharable without having the quest item. That makes people think the quest itself is bugged. Scroll in sanctum for example. If you go to the questgiver and obtain the item you can finish the quest.

3) The recipe book mess - Can be fixed by relogging. Very annoying but well...

4) The group icons ahve a very short distance on the map until they vanish. Really annoying.

5) The client sometimes forgets what localization i selected. This only hurts EU players.

This is mathematically not possible. You cant reach 40 on a single character in 3 hours * 9 days = 27 hours.  Thats with 3 hours a day. If we cut it down to 2 hours a day you hardly make it out of Tortage.

In the settings you can switch off almost anything. I never tried, but maybe its even possible to play without any UI (ALT-Z)

Is there enough free space on your harddrive left ? The first patch is 630 mbytes.

EU forums are split in 4 languages. If they would post on the EU_EN forum the germans, french and spanish people would complain. They should just fix the devtracker on the forum. Then everybody could find dev posts easily. However, i dont think the favor any community.

I dont know if 50-80 is lacking. Maybe there will be a content patch or maybe there is a company with the guts to reintroduce "natural growing" in the top levels. It was not always that people could solo quest from 1 to cap. WoW and EQ2 patched their game to be like that. But even those games have not been like that at release.

Oldschool EQ2 was very group heavy and quests didnt give enough exp to hit level cap. The exp came from group/guild activities when working on the epic group quests.

Then Blizzard discovered that a vast number of players doesnt want to group or get involved into guild activity. Thats why they patched away a lot of epics. Today you can level all the way solo. EQ2 followed WoW short after. SOE patched all heroic overland mobs into solo mobs and in step two removed even their unique linked mobs. Late EOF and definetely since the Kurnak expansion EQ2 is a soloer game with some dungeons you dont have to do if you dont want to.

I dont mind this style of gameplay. I enjoyed it in EQ2 and in WOW. Its like a breeze.. no roadblockers, no efford. But man do i miss the times when id did prismatic 1, prismatic 2  or Icy Digs with my guild. I even loved claymore in KoS although i think SOE has it a bit oberdone with the spawn camps in that expansion.  But the sad part is that people now demand soloable gameplay up to cap.  As if everyone has forgot about old and often very good times. D2 wasnt a mmo, but those who played it know what efford it was just to reach cap. Many people never reached it. And in games like EQ2 and AoC its not a big issue, both games offer mentoring/apprenticeship.

When it was completely unplayable, you'd have the ever-so-obvious VM come in talking about how there were no bugs, and how it was perfect, etc etc. It was humorous, really, because they were just so damned obvious.

Name a few bugs please.

What I gleaned so far is Tortage is great, you get ganked a lot, content lacking after level 40, it's great if you want to hit things but there is little else to do...  this means that myself, and few others I would imagine, will wait until this game natures matures and other content is developed.

Completely wrong. A blatant lie from people who cant help themselfes but rush through the game to 80 while avoiding any group activity.

I am 40.6 and havent touched fields of death, tarantias noble district, the stygian pyramid. I also have 5-6 group quest available where i dont know if they have follow ups. The crafter areas offer repeatable quests too. Crafting and harvesting quests do give exp too.

I didnt grind any exp, i just followed the questlines. Took my time.

Do you guys realize the stratgic meaning of how siege zones will be ? There is politics as much as violence. The poor GM who tried to tell those guys that it would be better to care for some reputation is no idiot.

Just one question, and this is not against you Cymdai, did you guys ever play a community driven mmo ? A real mmo ? Ever ?

Or probably they give a shi* about current gaming paradigms ?

Production aimed for 250k players. Probably the retail sales already refunded the game. The game is on its way, no matter what people think or want or like to whine about.

I couldnt agree less.

Todays patch was great. Common loot stacks are now >5. I went to the broker and checked gems. The game is on the way to beat D2 in any aspect. This aint another mmo-copy, this is on the way to become the nirvana of us real gaming veterans. Cant wait to see legends like whirlwind baba's have been in a few months running around.

Ahh... fresh air. Never felt that good since playing D2 hardcore ruleset. Finally some taste of true and sane  hardcore again...

Good luck to everyone, where ever you go.

no they didnt - gank away

PvP is acceptable in all shapes or forms.

Funcom bans for racial/ethnic harassment

If you feel like it, bring all 300 of your friends, enemies, or whatever and beat each other senseless.

Am i the only one seeing the pun and sarcasm ? Well, its a know fact that every game needs a toxic waste dump...usually its called FFA PvP server.

I find that quote as false advertisement.

LOL, the guy exaggerated due to some frustration. And you answer with cynicism.

Its like game PvP. Player A uses combo 2 and player B counter with combo 5.

Seems people cant keep reality and fantasy apart. Seems its one and the same. And then there are gankers with the psycholgical pattern of a cracked mass murder. And sooo close  to the border between reality and fantasy. Probably those politicans are right when they try to prohibit ganker games...

Only takes one person to translate dev posts in other forums

the US forums are not blooming with Dev replies either

- I do not see this as a "Euro problem"

case in point,

the news that Traders were getting fixed in next patch,

was announced on the Euro forums in a Dev reply

it was never announced on the US forums - until the official patch notes

Despite isolated posts, Dev posts on US forums are proportionally higher then on EU.

I just tried the devtracker on the forums. It doenst deliver any hits :P Maybe they just should fix the tracker and all would be fine :)
