Yes yes, you pay your money, you want what "you were lead to believe" you were buying, you know what, why don't all you hate mongers get off your arses and make an MMO yourself, lolz......

All this straight up crying and moaning, and, we will take them down attitude, is NOT gonna solve any of your issues you might have with the industry.

That's just perfect. [tears]

100% in support with this quote.

Costumer: "This car sucks they promised it would have 100HP and air conditioning and it only has 50HP and no air!"

Costumer amazed by the shiny wheels in the car: "Why don't you hate monger get off your arse and make a car yourself lolz"

Costumer staring at his own reflection whit tears in his eyes: "This is just perfect"

ahahahahahahaha... it's one of those "so sad it's fucking funny" moments.

Yes, it has my attention.

Just a few more days before headstart comes live for us CE holders. I had so much fun in beta while playing the game, Public Quest, RVR scenario's and kick a$$ Lore!!! I believe in Mythic to be honest and gratefull to their player base, they have shown honesty and concern for us.

Unlike F^&*com.............seriouly F$CK them. Looks like the trolls have lost their steam already.

The games stability has improved alot and most of the bugs a gone. AA has already been applied. Just waiting for them to give us better animation. The moment Headstart goes live i will roll all my toons to reserve their names before someone else .hehehe...gonna roll a Black Orc, Marauder, DOK and Magus.

Neverhave i been so exicited about an MMO before, this will be my first time going intoa new MMO just before it goes live.

I hear ya! I'm buying it the day it comes out... it's been a loooong long time since I last did something like that with any game.

Frankly, I would much prefer that Mythic invest their resources in actually finishing the game (i.e. missing classes, cities, sprucing up some of the "blah" areas) instead of creating pixelated blood and entrails to satisfy the desensitized fringe crowd.

yes i want them to do that as well but i still want my gore!

Find something better to do. There is no gore. Gore is stupid, pointless, and a waste of time, and resources.

Movies like Saw suck, because of the simple fact that they have gore a shock factor, and no substance. I would rather have substance than shock factor, thanks.

Warhammer already has the substance. Supposedly. The OP's just asking for some icing on his cake. Adding some more blood wouldn't hurt, especially considering we already have the hanged and the impaled. I don't care much either way, but gore can certainly be fun. Is it stupid? I guess no more stupid than orc speech and pretending you're a dwarf encased in shining armor. If you don't like gore, just say so. No need to position yourself in a false and shallow intellectual superiority.

The game isn't gonna have gore anyway, so... whatever!

Now that specific hours are flying around, does anyone know at what time do the servers open on the 18th? It's just that I'm gonna have to buy the game on that day (no digital preorder for my country) and I'd like to buy it as early as I can, hehe!

hahaha that was funny, man, take it easy, it's just gaming with a bunch of people you don't know.  Why you would take this guy seriously is beyond me. Don't make a hissy fit - play it out for us outside the loop and keep contributing to the testing.

I'd like to second this statement

Really? I thought that was in. At what time did the devs drop this feature? It was really cool, but nothing essentially game-changing, so, like the fanboys around here have already suggested, it's not that bad.

I guess they should make the public aware of what features made it or not... just as a warning as to avoid in-game disappointments.

Holy crap what a drama queen. Like somebody else said, go to a fansite, the Mythic devs don't hang around here. Send them an e-mail if you're so "hurt"... and don't stop till they drop.

Wow, they went down fast!

Yeah, I remember all the "COMBAT IN REAAAAL TIMEEE!!!" propaganda. What we got was still fun, but quite different to what they had envisioned in the first place. I think Conan is a good game, but it still needs a lot of patching.

The full range of live servers will be available to choose from when the Headstart begins and you will be able to keep your characters and any progress you made with them for the live launch on the 18th of September (note that this only applies to characters created during the Headstart, all Open Beta characters will be wiped before the Headstart begins).

I hope that answers your question ;)

Anyone know when the headstart will begin?

I believe it starts the 14th of September.

Wins.

Yeah. As long as I'm having fun with enough people in WAR, then WoW could get 20 million subs for all I care

CBA to read all of the replys but...

Didn't I read this a while back on the AoC forum too?

The difference is that AoC was getting constant cries of "Don't release this game! This game, in its state, shouldn't be released on the public!" and so on, while WAR isn't. I haven't seen a single post in any fansite  that this game isn't ready for release; the only thing I've seen is people not liking it for this reason or that, which, regardless, speaks very favorably for the game.

I guess we'll have to wait and see, but this game is entirely on another level than AoC at release.

Speaking of credit, if you are canceling AoC as many are for War and Wotlk, be sure to remove your credit card information completely as Funcom has a nasty habit of still billing you even after cancelation if you don't cancel at just the right magical moment..

Yeahhhhh, I always take this with a grain of salt. Unless there is a lot of talk about it, I chalk it up to people who are new to credit cards and subscriptions, or someone who just wants to spread more negativity.

9 times out of 10, its the users fault or misunderstanding, you always see these issues with EVERY game, and they are never what they are made to be.

You can call the people liars who experienced Funcom's deliberate misuse of credit card cancellations all you want, but many people have complained and backed up their complaints with screenshots of the billing "errors" that Funcom deliberatly made. Funcom has consistantly lied and misled it's customers from day one, and still continues to do so today. So just like the company that you blindly defend, blame it on the customers: it's their fault, not Failcoms.

I have played many MMO's over the years, and have never seen or heard of any other issues with cancellations, and your "9 times out of 10, it's the users fault" is hardly correct.  Make up stats to blindly defend a company that has proven itself to be both unreliable and dishonest isn't fooling anyone here.

You're blowing what he said way out of proportion. Calm down, you'll get your money back, don't worry.

Haha nicely done.

If they had given it awful scores, you wouldn't be turning this issue up, and you know why? Because reviews are subjective too - I bet there's not few people who agree with those reviews. People who, if Conan would've been given a low score, would be "calling them out" just like you think you are.

No offense, but this post reflects your bias, not theirs.

Besides, most reviews concentrate on two things: gameplay and stability. The gameplay in Conan is cool, and the game works... most of the time. They don't cover things like endgame content (in Conan's case, mid-game-on content ), class balance, and so on. That's why the reviews were mostly positive. They give you an impression of what it's like to play the game, not a detailed, full experience of it (another story it would've been... low scores aplenty!).

Warning: rambling now, but I do think that MMO reviews should be handled in an entirely different way than normal games. They should tend to describe the full experience. I think MMORPG.com went the right direction by reviewing the first twenty levels of this game only, because more attention to detail was paid. Of course, we're missing the next 60, but until they decide to do it, we'll have to see. In any case Conan's relevance is about to fade with the release of WAR.

what?

You do relise as you get higher the RVR zone gets bigger, by tier 4 its a good 75% of the map. Opens benefit is MOSTLY in the lower lvls and as you get higher it gets less and less beneficial. By the time of tier 4 its infact goes the otherway due to the chicken mechanics and lower lvl stuff.

Nope, I didn't know that. In any case my point still stands. Instead of having a "good 75%" of the map participating in RvR, you'll have 100%. In this case, the more the merrier, so Open is still larger and deeper in the endgame, I guess.

You also have to think about the population.  How many people will be in the specific RvR lakes if everyone is out roaming around trying to sneak attack someone?  My biggest fear is that there would not be enough people actually attributing to what is necessary to take the capitals.

I guess we're gonna have to trust players organizing themselves through guilds efficiently enough as to make use of the entire array of possibilities presented by having an open PvP world-tier. The success of the server depends on us, not the ruelset, but if guilds are good at what they're supposed to do, which is organize and make strategies, then it's gonna be a lot of fun. If they're not, and everyone's roaming around like you say, then yeah, it's gonna suck. I think we're gonna have to trust guilds and players on this one, lol

You guys are thinking too much of it in terms of low levels. I believe that the differences between both rulesets are the sides of a coin: in Core, you'll have a better fighting experience in the lower levels, but in Open, it'll be better in the higher end; say, tier 4 and sieges. Not only will the players be able to attack Keeps and do objectives in the RvR zones, but they can organize raids into the other areas in order to distract the opposite army, lure them, divide them, etc. I think Open will have a lot more strategy in the high level gameplay, and will be worth the troubles of unbolstered fighting in the first couple of tiers.

Each has its advantages, but for the above reason, I think I'm going Open, as I think it'll be deeper for the "endgame".
