Because of your little group. Its pretty hypocritical saying things are one way when your group directly benifited from it and when you are disciplined you run around dragging the game through the mud because your sand castle was knocked over.
I play the game and I have a lot of fun. So keep trying to prove to me that I am not having fun.
Because its fun.
People complaining about being suspended or paying off the admins and accusing them of all this stupid crap is just that. Crap.
The administrative staff has been by far the best level of customer service i have ever had. All the bugs i have reported have been addressed. Any problems i have had, have also been addressed. Plus on top of that these guys are dedicated to pleasing the player base. This game has changed so much due to player suggestions and comments, it has really bumped up the experiance to a new level.
The main problem with this game is there are players within it that are content driven. And they expect a small company such as them to produce the same level as a 100 man operation. And so the company does accept donations and in return offers gifts in the form of content to those players. Unfortunately those players believe that they have a say in what the company does and often demands start to be made. When in reality CTS has drawn a line.
The people that have come here to this forum to drag my favorite game through the mud are those who have had multiple disciplinary actions taken against them. And are guilty of "Donating for position" in the game themselves when they wildly throw accusations around. And these people are in my opinion the definition of bad sportsman ship while playing games. And because of our small community, its harder to avoid the retards than it is in bigger games, because there is a perception that it is "easier" to be "somebody" in this game where in others such as WoW or EVE when a retard is trying to pretend he is king of the world, he can be universally ignored. Where here...often times those voices tend to be louder.
Has the actions of the players posting on the forums hurt my game. Yes. And i think it is unfair of them to ruin my gameplay because they did something wrong and the admins decided to enforce the rules on them. I personally dont care how much money they decided to voluntarily give. The developers of the game have intellectual control over it, and they set the rules be it soft conducted as a EULA or hard coded into the game itself.
I like starquest because I love space. I love the idea of being able to travel to places that are loosly based off real life, set up a colony on a star that i can find in real life and say its mine. The community that makes up the Alliance is tight nit and for the most part good people. And all the donators are not all bad. Many members of the community is friendly and helpful. We are small. And the Admin team while small is very dedicated to thier dream. And only speaking for myself...i would never listen to a group of people who recently were banned from a game about thier opinions.
Give the game a shot. Ive been hooked on it for years. I like sand box games, and there is a lot of potential and the game is being updated every week or so with new features, bug corrections, and updates.
Should it be gossip or not...the fact they are blaming others for thier screw up and being jerks about it screams "IM ENTITLED TO THIS DO AS I SAY OR ELSE"
If it were me....I would take responsibility, and apologize and serve out the ban, Then get back to playing. So annoying that people donate and think they are above the rules and that gives them the right to throw wild accusations around. Like how they continually said that Eve Gawo paid off castlethorn.
Its the same story but now with another player. They are all hypocrites...they PAID off the devs to get the priviledge of playing as the Therataans. I got nothing against the other players, i play the game quitely and stay off the forums. But I am glad the guys at CTS are taking control of thier game vice being slaves to the highest bidder.
then you shouldnt have broke the rules. If you werent guilty you wouldnt be trying to drag the devs through the mud.
Star Quest Onlines Devs have been more than patient with you. And EVERYTIME you have felt that you have been wrong. You parade around attemping to slander and belittle everyone like a little child you are. You guys got disciplined for breaking the code of conduct. Enough said. You seem to want to paint the picture that the Devs of the game will bend to anyones will for the right price of donation.
Isnt that what you did to them to even play your little faction? From what it looks like to me is they are taking back control of their content. And you should either play by the rules or just leave. As I am sure they got logs to back up the reasons for putting you out.
Yes...i so believe this. Prove it. This is a total fabrication.

Stop whining trying to force SQO to give you a free hand out. Considering your attitudes on the forums, I bet you guys shot your own stuff to cause your faction to implode on itself just to blame Eve. I know I am a cheer leader, but Eve did use the GM powers to help me out of a few tough binds. And several other players. You paint this person like they are a twelve year old with a gun.
I think you are being a tad harsh on the community. Can't just mix them all in one pot. The problems come from people being competitive for control. Thats all thats to it really. I would say about 80% of the players playing SQO are willing to bend over backwards. Its just the loud obnoxious ones that enjoy giving the player government and the senior star fleet officers a hard time over stupid arguements.
One thing I will say. I think that Eve Gawo, the current president, has got to be one of the most patient and even keeled leaders i have yet to meet in game. Sure she flips every now and then. But is that eserving of the punishment that comes with doing the job?
If Eve isnt re-elected....i really do not see another player who is capable of dealing with it...let alone for a full year.
The character Burke i believe he is refering to is probally the Confederate Captain Lana Burke. And I think Lana Burke was a fleet officer and used to be an alt of Eve. not sure.

I have to completely disagree with the previous poster.
SQO in my opinion has been the game I have been looking for sometime. Im an older player and flashing pretty graphics at me isnt what hooks me on a game. Its the enviroment and complexity that gets me.
Sure there are CTDs and bugs...but name one MMO that doesnt. The game is an inependantly developed product. Meaning that while the game gives to shits about competeing in the race for the best in graphics. its the quality of content that keeps people. I kept hearing that STO is going to make SQO jump in its grave...but in reality the game is closer to old school trek than what I have ever seen put out.
While it caters to players who have the pateince to learn the game. It wont get the 12 years running their dadies credit card bills up like WoW does. But it will definately pick up the people that STO has and will continue to disappoint.
