Was the reason ArcheAge went to Russia 1st because we're full of criticism?

This is the most embarrasing thread I've ever seen on this website in a long time.

Originally posted by chelan Right, and who were the Lord of the Rings books intended for, because last I checked, most people reading Lord of the RIngs and The Hobbit for the first time can be accurately described as young people aged 15 to 25. Granted, they are ageless books that appeal to a wide audience, but they are still books for teenagers and young adults. |

Fair criticisms. I'm very highly considering Rift, TSW, EQ2, and Vanguard. Which offers the best PvE content? I'm worried about the populations of Vanguard and EQ2. Leaning most heavily towards Rift given the recommendations. |

Hey all,
So after playing GW2 for a bit, I'm getting a little burnt out, however, this is after about a 2 year break from seriously playing MMOs. So, I'm looking for a new game to sink my teeth into!
I'm looking, specifically, for a game with great PvE content. I love challenging bosses that require coordination between players. I'm a big fan of raids, however there are a few things I dislike about typical PvE content.
1) Gear Grind: I'd rather not have my entire endgame PvE experience revolve around a grind for better gear. As much as possible, I don't want to have to rerun dungeons over and over and over again. So I suppose what I want is a large quantity of endgame content that is achievement based. 2)Repitition: Similar to 1, but in terms of design and mechanics. I don't want to play similar looking/similraly designed raids with different textures. I'm looking for a unique range of different dungeons/raids/whatever. 3)A healthy "menu": I'm looking for a game that provides a number of activities at endgame as far as PvE goes, whether it be traditional raiding, smaller groups, solo content, etc. Quality is what I'm looking for.
Of course, a good leveling system with fun content is a plus, too. I'm considering Rift, and The Secret World, but I'm not really sure what game has the best PvE anymore.
Thanks, everyone! |

I'm going to look into resubscribing and joining you guys. I'm interested in playing a Blood Mage or Necromancer. Looks like I have a little reading to do! |

Originally posted by LordDraekon Yeah it seems like the vanguard necromancer isn't for me. I think I'm going to resubscribe to AoC. Seems like a good time, with the expansion being like 3 weeks away from release. I am little concerned about the armor in-game, though. It doesn't exactly look appealing to me, at least the necromancer stuff I saw, anyways.
I do need to give the vanguard necromancer credit here. This armor looks epic:
I think I'll take up the EQ2 14 day trial to see how the game's changed. I'm a bit upset that no game has seemed to really nail the essence of the necromancer class. No like Diablo II did, anyways. |
|
Originally posted by kaiser3282 I have tried EQ2. I really couldn't get used to the graphics, which seemed plastic-y and out of place. I wouldn't be adverse to giving it, or anything else for that matter, another shot if the Necromancer class is very well done. |

Maybe I will give AoC another spin. Does anyone have experience with the necromancer in Vanguard? I'm a bit wary picking up the game with all the rumors and talk of it being near death and with a lack of developer updates. |

Hey, all! it seems I'm MMO-less right now. I'm interested in playing a game with a great necromancer class. I'm not interested in playing the WoW warlock or Guild Wars Necromancer. I've played both to death already...no pun intended.
So, I come here, seeking the wisdom of the mmorpg.com community. What are your suggestions? |

The only one who has said anything about "first access" was a person, who in all fairnes was not in a position to make sutch claims. So show me were it says "WHEN" you were going to get in to the beta apart from that poor man and his forumpost.
Fraud... It's the new buzzword like, everything is fraud these days... BroadSword i say.
I'm not a lawyer, but it's my understanding that this argument wouldn't hold up at all in the American courts. I believe that all contracts, offers, etc. have to abide by a "reasonable man" test. That is, when debating certain terms of a contract, the court follows the logic of what a reasonable person would assume. In this case, it's pretty clear cut that a reasonable person would assume that paying for entry would act as a sort of VIP pass in an Amusement Park; you get to skip the lines.
As far as your claim concerning that the person who made the announcement was in no position to do so, this is simply not the case. Daeke (sp?) was an employee of Cryptic Studios. The buck stops there. To the best of m knowledge, cryptic did not *immediately* retract his statement. This is somewhat alarming. This means Cryptic was not paying attention to what their own employees were saying or actually did plan for, at that point, immediate access for Lifetime/6 Month subbers. |
