This game is absolutely terrible.  Not because of the grind.  Not because of the same repetitive monster killing.  It is because the game is made up of 90% bots, hackers, and gold selling spammers.  You can not even chat with other players because the bot spam is so bad.  All the higher level people are hackers.  You can hack the game extremely easy because all of the information important to the game is stored client side on your computer. 

Do a google search for Elite PvPer 2Moons Hacks and you will see what I mean.

Because of the developer corruption/cheating and the lag one experiences during fleet battles I decided to quit playing Eve.  It is a fun game, and it really deep, but you just can't have company employees cheating and giving out free stuff to whatever alliances they feel like, as well as information, when you are charging people to play that are competing against those the game company is helping.

The server performance is really the reason I left.  The game is so laggy whenever you are involved in large fleet battles in 0.0 space.  It is really a shame, cause if the game ran better during PvP encounters I would of overlooked just about anything, but alas, it does not.

I am not sure, but I do believe that your ships speed, angle, health, etc all affect how well you do in combat, as in it affects you accuracy, rate of fire, etc.  Obviously positioning your ship so that you can even get off a shot with your guns will matter, and thus understanding how to properly captain a naval vessel with sails will be of great benefit.

I played a MUD called Terris on AOL for 5 years.  It was the other choice of MUD besides NWN at the time.  I think I played Terris 1990-1995?  Left once I found Everquest 1.

Between the lag, developer corruption, crappy graphics, horrible PvE content, and all the other bugs and amature quality issues, Eve Online will never become a major player in the MMOG market.  CCP is a bunch of backwards Icelandic morons.

Cheats and hackers get off lightly IMHO, i'd love to see a global Database which lists the address and CC detials of any 1 who hacks and cheats in an MMO, that way when they try to sign up to another MMO they cant... ofc this wont happen but its an idea.

If your banned from diriving for drinking or whatever do you expect the remainder of your roadtax to be refunded?

I was in beta.  I bought the game at release cause I thought it might get better.  After the first two weeks, not even my full free month, I quit.  The game is crap.  It is buggy and just plain bland crap.  LotRO is better as it stands right now in beta than Vanguard is after a month of release.  I thought, for some stupid reason, that these guys would release something worth playing, and at the very least it would be polished and quality, even if I didn't like it.

The game looks like it was made by amatures with no budget and I was disgusted.
