once again you think "cool" gear is what im talking about. Its not getting the best gear in the game im concerned about. I really dont care. Im saying that I actually want to complete the whole game. Go to Black Temple or Hyjal and experience it, not just get "leet loot". And I feel all players who pay 15 a month for this game should be able to experience the full game. |

Round Table Pub (General) « Dark Age of Camelot 2/18/08 6:30:26 AM
Just downloaded the 14 day trial to see what this game is all about. Ive read a limited amount of information on this game and Im wondering if some of the players of the game could maybe point me in the direction of where to go in the game, race, class, etc. Any tips are appreciated, see ya in game |

This isnt my plea for more gear, it isnt "gimme epix!!". I honestly would like to at least experience some of the end game that most people dont get to, thats all. as far as "not sucking at wow" I have a pretty geared shaman and i dont suck, I just work alot so those "elite" raiding guilds dont keep me around for long, for the sole reason I cant be there for every raid and wait around for an invite. I agree some of the raiding is retarted. Sitting around, waiting for an invite or anything like that is stupid. Now, as I would like to experience the end game, as some have said that im "lazy" or making a desperate plea for loot, I say to you: Find me 25 more people with the same schedule as me and Ill be glad to raid with them and get the full effect of the game. I very much like the idea of a normal raid and heroic raid, yes let the hardcore players get their better loot, but let everyone actually experience the game and the story. So what if the gear isnt as good, I just want to get some of that experience. As far as patch 2.4 looks like blizz is considering some of the less hardcore raiders and taking away attunements and its one step towards letting the regular joe experience the game fully. |

Im not a "lazy" player and I dont sit around for half an hour waiting for an invite......as i said before i work alot and i also like this game alot. It just seems that "elite" guilds form and they are the ones that get to experience the whole game. I dont see that as fair.....i cant play the whole game because I work too much? I pay the same 15 bucks as the next guy....but as you say the "elite" players (aka live in your moms basment and have limited interactions with other people) get to experience the true end game? Meh i say make it more accesible to everyone. Or does that scare you "elite" players that someone in orgrimmar might be running around in the same gear as you? |

I agree I hope SOE loses all kinds of money on the games they destroyed. It seems like a reocurring theme with SOE, almost like they have the "kiss of death" for an mmo. its too bad too, SWG had huge potential and already a huge fan base..............but alas it is a dead, and if not dead already, a dieing game. |

merging servers.........already?
General Discussion « Pirates of the Burning Sea 2/11/08 3:48:59 AM
I played this game in beta and it was horrible then.......and its exactly the same. Now I said it was horrible, but people ranted and raved "no, itll get better", "the player economy is great", "ships are realistic", "the devs will fix the minor problems....they promised!", and so on and so forth. So far....what have you got? Ill tell you, you got a big hole in your wallet from dropping big bucks on a below par game. Now, not far after release they want to merge servers.....where does the downfall of this game stop? Ill tell you where.........when SOE buys it out...........then it just hits rock bottom and is never heard from again. |

Wow still a stinker of a game........bet your pissed you spent the money on it. Should of bailed ship in beta. |

Is it just me or is this game dead? Lowering populations, lost of interest, disgruntled players and no relief in sight. I think the final nail in the coffin is the forum called "SWG Veteran refuge". You really know your game is dead when the description is "A place for disgruntled former and current SWG players to talk about the game that was and the game that now is". Great description btw. My hat off to whoever wrote that. Its just perfect description for a dead game. How would you want to even start playing when you read that? former and current players are disgruntled. To me that description makes me think of old men sitting around talking about how they worked for 29 yrs, but then got fired and never got a pention. Old, angry disgruntled players talking about the time they wasted and will never get back. Id compare SWG and Matrix:online to Ryan Leaf....looked great at first, but left you dissapointed and with a bad taste in your mouth. |

What are you looking forward to the most in WAR?
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 2/11/08 3:02:41 AM
Been following this game for awhile now and the devs are doing a pretty good job on keeping the public informed about their game. Im excited about it and crossing my fingers to get into beta XD. Really looking forward to the RvR aspect and the siege battles. Game looks like its gonna be a winner. So what are you looking forward to? |

coming from someone who was in beta and played the game for a little.......it falls into my category of "decent game not worth the subscription". DDO, CoH/CoV also fall into that category for me. I did have some fun while playing but as some posts before me have stated the game still has problems. Maybe in a couple months to a year these will be fixed and the game might be worth your money. I believe its not worth it at the stage its in right now. The game has potential and Im going to keep an eye on it. In the end it all comes down to you, the gamer, whether or not its your style or its something you dont like. |

AOC is deleting classes now!?!?! this is wack
General Discussion « Age of Conan 2/11/08 2:50:46 AM
I agree with the OP. The more the merrier. I love the diversity..........seems like they are just deleting classes to get into the "cookie cutter" mmo classes. Might as well release the game with 3 classes.......Tank, healer, dps. Call them that too, just so everyone realizes what youre doing, deleting classes, as opposed to "merging" classes. |

just got done playing the trial for this game and Ill admit....not a bad game at all. I considered playing it but i felt it wasnt worth the $15/ month. I dont know maybe its just me but it just didnt seem to have enough to make me want to play it that much. I did enjoy my time playing......there were a few faults, just as in any game but overall it wasnt too bad and i was suprised. I admit i didnt expect much but it was good, just not worth the money in my opinion. what do you think? |

I think alot of people will agree with me that WoW has become bias against the regular gamer. The ultimate end game, Black Temple, will only be seen by about 2% of the gaming community. Because you dont have the "badass" gear or you actually have a life and cant devote 6 hours to raiding or make every raid. I have a 70 shammy and ive done ssc/tk many times. Alas, my guild decided I didnt make enough raids and there I go. I think MMO's should make these end game raids more accesible to the average gamer. Let everyone play the WHOLE game. |

Just from beta.... This game is a sucko!!!
General Discussion « Pirates of the Burning Sea 12/17/07 11:05:48 PM
Missions are the exact same.......wow the quest story might be different, but almost every quest i did ended up to be killing 3 ships....wait sometimes 5. Avatar combat....is a joke. Total after thought in my opinion. Im not saying this game couldnt get better, because it has potential and maybe after awhile itll be good. Im just sayin at this stage its not all that great. But you should try it out and form your own opinion. |

Just from beta.... This game is a sucko!!!
General Discussion « Pirates of the Burning Sea 12/14/07 7:41:27 PM
I agree with the OP. This game wasnt that great when i tried it out, and I played it for awhile. Very repititive and slow. I felt the ship movement speed was too slow and it really bored me.I think maybe they should double the speed of all ships to pick up the pace a little. As many said before the avatar combat was really bad. Im sure they will work on improving the game seeing as it is only beta. But in the end it just wasnt good enough to peak my interest. And for people who are like "go back to playing wow". How do you even know he plays wow? Totally stupid comment in my opinion. |
