I hop on and LFG with my 29 DK for a bit and when I get one I have a great time, if I can't I log off and play PS or SWG /shrug.

It's a good game and the combat/group play is enjoyable but I'm definatly waiting for AoC for the action aspect.

I'm on Bloodfin btw, and sure there are tons of terminal missions I can solo and such but I usually play these games for the multiplayer aspect and I was curious as to whether I was missing something that encourages or facilitates grouping.  It doesn't seem like there is much that does that sadly.  I'm sure I'll still dink around solo when I don't fell like grouping but a game that forces/expects you to solo for half of your levels is not much to my taste, I can play single player games without a sub fee if I want that!  I'm paying the sony access thing for PS and Vanguard anyway so no extra bucks to keep this around for solo dinking around /shrug.

Yes the main cities are populated but it is all higher level guys.  I'm talking about finding groups.  There is no LFG tool, no broadcast channel, and most other teen lvl people I send a tell or chat to don't want to group or just ignore me altogether.  There does not seem to be any in game mechanism to make grouping easy or convienant. 

Also the Dead Eye Serum quest line seems broken.  I talk to the people and they say they put the LOC of the contact in my datapad but they don't, so I'm just stuck.

I'm trying out the trial version of this and I find it pretty dang fun, but grouping or teamwork seems non existant.  I'm a 14 BH now and working up through imperial piloting as well and enjoy the solo play but there does not appear to be grouping or teamwork at all!  Sure Mos Eisley is pretty busy and the cantina is packed with buffers and some semi helpful people, but where/how do I find a group to fly with or grind/quest with? It just seems like a big empty universe for the most part.

Oh and I've tried broadcasting in Mos Eisley for any guilds recruiting new players and finally found one, but nobody from it is EVER on :(

I really want to play some non fantasy MMORPG's but this one just seems so lonely (I do play and enjoy planetside already)

For a year they had a program dubbed "Fodderside" where you could play up to battle rank 6 for free.  It recently ended.  My son still has his fodderside  acc'ount active  which he opened maybe a month ago.  Not sure when they'll turn it off.

I'm not a huge fan of the new CE stuff either but I think it will be fine once it is no longer "the new thing" and not everyone has it.  It does make some pretty intense base defense/attack battles though!  Since the CE changes and turret upgrades I've had a few great standoffs with vehicles trying to assault the base.

Due to bad press and a general preference for fantasy, I never tried this until about 2 days ago.  Now 2 days is far too short to know if a game in this class is going to stick on you, but I'm sure having a hell of a fun time so far.  I thought the space battle part would just be high level stuff but you hop in right after the first few hours and my little bounty hunter is having a ball blowing pirates to bits!

I'm an old MMORPG player and I'm frankly sick of the click/button mash combat.  I am playing PS now as I have in the past and I usually enjoy it, although every now and then it's tough to find a nice even battle.  This game has been one I've been kind of eyeballing but I'm really excited about the additional RPG elements it has over PS.  And I really hope the have the option of smaller squad v squad based battles in addition to the massive 100v100 PS type fight.  It really is hard to beat the feeling of immersion in a massive PS battle with flail fire, aircraft everywhere, the occasional stealther sticking a knife in your back, etc.

This one is up on my hype list now though just behind AoC-- another game in my personal favortie genre with some new ideas for a combat system after 8 years of button clicking!

I've been accused in tells of hacking many times in PS and I am very anti-cheat/hack for even single player games.  I haven't seen any true hackers, and compared to other FPS's there are MUCH fewer hackers in PS.  If you like FPS"rs but get tired of the wall hacks/speed hacks/aimbots then come on over to PS, it's still hella fun.

There are training missions that reward experience and walk you thru the game mechanics.

I'm still loving it, this is one of those games that I have played off & on since beta and still enjoy.  The pops are definatly down but I run into big fights frequently still.

Wow I had no idea AO is free to start playing now, I'm in the market for fresh/different MMORPG right now so what the heck! <clicks download>

I haven't tried many sci-fi genre either.

EQ2 is a bit of a strange bird for me, I have played it off & on for a few years and never to a very high lvl, I think my monk is in the 30's.  It is fun but it just never grabbed me like eq1, wow, daoc have.  I will likely play around with it as I'm planning on toying with all the SOE games (PS I am really liking after taking a few years off, VG messing with as they iron things out, gonna take SWG for a spin, etc).  I find I love these games until they become more work than fun in the end game/raiding area of each game.. so why not play several games NOT in the end game?

I'm hoping that can tide me over till Age of Conan at least!

I picked up VG after getting a new system and just really burning out on WoW.  It is buggy but I can definatly see the potential.  I am not in a great hurry to burn through it like I did with WoW & DAOC so I'm mostly messing with my Sony pass (Planetside, gonna try the free SWG trial, may play some of my EQ2 toons etc) and Guildwars while they fix up VG.  I'll probably continue to play it off & on at least until Conan is released.  Although off topic, Conan is the first game since I started playing this genre in 1998 with some NEW ideas (FINALLY!).

Anyway it is nice these days to have OPTIONS to play, I'm enjoying dabbling in multiple games right now since end games tend to be a drag.
