Double-exp weekend, I thought the point of VG was that it was gonna be tough to level.  Is it safe to say LoTr vs VG war is over before it even began ? lol

   Vanguard won't probably die, although it is possible (look up AC 2).  I would think it would be around EQ 2 popularity for a few years to come.

I don't know why people think the combat system is so refreshing.  You have three characters that  have a few skills that you push whenever they light up.   That is all I ever did in the game.  Oh and potions have 1 second timers and can be spammed endlessly if you have the money.  Granado Espada brings one thing new to a grindfest; you can now create your own party to grind with.

   This Gameloading guy was saying while back during my lurking days how great this game is gonna be.  A mindless grindfest on hordes of mobs, this is something I truly haven't seen from an asian developer.  If people in the west cared only about graphics these sub-par games might actually have a chance.

  Mmorpg.com is as popular as it is for one reason, contests.  Its most outspoken members are mostly fans of niche games like EvE or something even worse.  Blizzard should care about mmorpg.com why ? 

 Oh yah forums aren't too bad either.

 I haven't given this one a try but from a few friends that tried it I'm not hearing any cheers of joy.  Graphics are nice, I guess if that's all you need in a game this game should suffice.

 This is 1 year old. I know EvE got a bit more subscribers but I don't think it would be number 4. 

Anyone have a link to some new numbers maybe ? According to this chart EvE is tied for 11th place with DaoC :) with ToonTown trailin slightly behind in 12th place lol

 So many quests ? There is like 1 per level or 2 lol, and they are all generic as hell.  Customization is horrible. Only a few classes, few skills per class, it's a pretty mediocre game. Graphics are cute, that's about it.  Definetly only for people who like Maple Story or Ragnarock.

  Well LoTr is a static game, no housing, hence you can mold everything into a perfect eutopian vision. Also LoTr has so much pre-existing content that ou can't help but to make great sceneray just copying the books.

  Vanguard is a dynamic world and those ALWAYS looks worse.  It is hard to detail all the terain when you know someone might stick a house on top of it and makes it pointless. 

  As far as the text goes, there is absolutely no excuse for it. This is a big production and shame on them for doin a halfassed job on an integral part of the pve process.

Scions of Fate has very limited features like class skills etc. even by korean game standards, I wouldn't recommend it.
Granado Espada is not in open beta, and cansomeone confirm if it will be f2p ? I thought it was going to be pay2play in the west.

As far as free games go you could try Shadowbane, Knight Online, PirateKingOnline if you like cartooney anime stuff much better than Scions of Fate.
