The Elder Scrolls Online: Teaser Site & Trailer

If this game is another themepark as rumored with restrictive classes, guided leveling and the rest of what goes in a themepark, then this game is toast before it is even started. Unimaginative developers should never be rewarded. Using a well known IP to foist trash on the playing public is the ultimate sin. |

Seriously, do we need another f2p anime game? There are so many on the market, they are all essentially the same game just with slightly different rule sets. How many of these games can you play without throwing your hands up in disgust? |

Preaching to the choir here. You have to wonder how so many intelligent people can be so ignorant of what you state. The problem is they are making games for the "I want it now" generation. They don't want challenges in any shape or form, just hurry up and get through the game so they can move on to the next one. And this stupid developers continue to turn out these lead me by the hand games one after the other. Just take SWTOR for example. Everyone was lauding it for the hand holding, but now many people are already bored with the game. Now many of them are moving on to TERA. Except for graphical differences they are essentially the same game. By fall TERA will be a ghost town and the developers hastily converting it to a free to play. SWTOR will remain around a bit longer as the Star Wars theme will entice a few to stick around. GW2 is no savior, it is essentially a theme park with a few different angles. It will probably take an outsider from the east to change that thinking. Like with Archage or another game. |

Well I agree with the first poster. Prices have to change, players are not going to stick with your game long if you don't change them, especially in the fantasy realm. I don't think a lot of f2p games make much money, there are just too many of them. Unless you are in a niche without much competition like Eve, these games better start finding a way to differentiate themselves from the pack or face declining population. |

Games that allow botting are just something I will not touch, no matter how good. It is an immediate zero score. And I completely agree with the above poster, scratch that reviewer, FAST! |

My son is playing TERA or I should say was playing TERA and enjoying it immensely until yesterday when he attempted to log in last night and he got the insufficient subscription time message and now he noticed that they billed his credit card already. He is not a happy camper at the moment. Hope En Masse gets their act together. |

The Elder Scrolls Online: What the Elder Scrolls Online Means for MMORPGs

Hard to comment on something as nebulous as this game currently is. Hopefully the design team looks at what works and what does not in the current genre. |

That is a definite improvement when it comes to storage.

Personally I probably won't play either of them, at least until TERA goes f2p which will be before the year is out. TERA does not have enough content to keep a subscription playerbase happy. The things that turned me off in TERA was the absurd female outfits. Also the ridiculous tank with a lance. Yeah, I know it is a game, but ridiculous is ridiculous in my book. I will say I found TERA fun to play, but not enough to justify purchase and subscription. I don't like short term games, if I am going to put time into developing a character, I don't want to turn around and drop the game after a few months. GW2 I am taking a wait and see attitude on it. Was not impressed with the Beta. |

Star Wars: The Old Republic: Should SWTOR Go Free-to-Play?
News Discussion « General Discussion 5/03/12 6:15:44 AM
As I have said many times before, this game does not have the content to maintain a significant playerbase. What they will do to rectify such I have no idea. Themeparks just have a hard time competing with Wow. The upper end areas are very limited.

The thing that amazes me about EVE, the playerbase constantly replentishes itself if not grows. Besides Wow, no game to date has done that.

Geez, it is BETA. You have a beta to get the bugs out! If you don't like to find bugs, don't play a beta. Cracks me up when people try to compare this with the TERA beta. TERA has been running over in Korea for over a year already, they just localized it for western tastes. The only problems the TERA BETA had were localization errors. |

Originally posted by Czanrei ? Right, riding side saddle while you are suited up for fighting. The only reason women rode side saddle is because of the skirts they wore. You jump a horse riding side saddle and you have one sore backside. Completely impractical way to ride a horse. True it is a game and who cares how they ride in a game. Tera is a fun game. Just personally don't feel it is worth the $50 with a continuing monthly fee. I don't want to spend 3 months on a game and move on, which is exactly what I would so with this game. I also feel the women's outfits are way over the top. To those playing have a great time, but remember all those SWTOR people who were gushing about the game, they are pretty bored now. TERA has even less end game content than SWTOR. If you like short term games, then this one is perfect for you. I think it is a pretty safe bet this game will be f2p before the year is out. Might fool around with it then. Oh and don't even try to compare the TERA beta with Guild Wars, TERA has been out for over a year in Korea, the only thing TERA had issues with in BETA was localization bugs. Like trying to compare apples and oranges. |

Vendetta Online: Celebrating Its 10th Anniversary

" However, unlike Eve all of the piloting takes place in realtime like in Elite or Freelancer. " That statement makes no sense. Piloting in Eve is in real time. How else would piloting be? Personally I had enough problems playing it on a PC even with a controller, I can't imagine trying to play it on a phone. I stand by my statement that it lacks depth, but then that seems to be what people want these days, You certainly won't have to spend a lot of time learning to play it of course. Just did not seem to be worth paying a monthly sub to me, but I will say this the developers are very responsive to the players. |

A bracelet that can be used a couple times a day for 7 days that removes debuffs? Seems to me like not even worth entering in the code for it.
