to be honest i dont think there will be a huge gap like in WoW. after all there are only 5 zones to explore and it seems like its a VERY balanced system. if u are casual like me then i expect it will take a little while to reach the end zones. casual gamers should not be at all worried about being snapped by hardcore people. Warhammer has always had a wonderful community. the question of gear has not been raised but this game is mostly about big fights with lots of people so my advice is stick with the people you feel comfortable playing with, find the guys with the better gear and stick close to them or do as the orcs do and if at first you dont succeed bring more orcs

fanatics could work in that they charge towards an enemy and swing their ball and chain around and do alot of damage to alot of people. to balance this they could have a cooldown on the attack or make it slow enough for some players to get out of the way. also these guys wear no armour so a few hits by a wizard would down it before it smashes into a group of players. i think it would be very fun to play a goblin wrecking ball

i do love those big green thick headed barbarians. watching them squash the puny humans and smash some other orcs just makes me smile...but alas. those little things that they dont have (maybe in the future) make greenskins just so much better. suicidal crazy ball swinging goblins and their kookey inventions would be humerous and painful at the same time.
to sum things up i hope to see more crazy and downright kookey goblins and orcs appearing in the future  |

i recon people love dwarves cus they are so little, tough, willing to take on the big guys (orcs), the love beer, they wear sweet armour, they pwn at melee, seeing rows and rows of heavily armoured short people come screaming towards you us enough to creep anyone out. dwarves just rock XD

i was instantly glued to the hunter when i picked up WoW (first MMO i ever played) because i loved rangers. what i diddnt count on was the very heavy pet dependance. it really anoyed me but i went thru to 60 and found raiding 100000x better when i diddnt have my pet. it felt like i was the ranged specialist and i diddnt need a crappy pet to defend me. what i also hated was the fact that everybody else was a hunter. i have now experianced all the aspects of this anoying "ranged specialist"/pet combo and will not be trying it ever again.

i must say the gap between FPS players and MMO/RPG/RTS players (many exceptions i can understand)is growing bigger and bigger. in this modern day and age the FPS are usually for the impatient people. much like the kids nowdays (comming from another kid
) and because the gap is getting bigger it means the games are becomming more and more varied and different. i personally see this as a godsend to gaming. this will mean you can pick up your favourite FPS and it will be completely different to your RTS (story, gameplay and tactics) i would love to see Warhammer keep its wonderful tabletop game, good looking MMO, its great RTS games and (maybe and hopefully) a FPS. this would give gamers that much needed extra info on the story, genre and world. so to all those who prefer FPS over RTS or love board games and hate computer games then i hope you express your opinions and have them heard cus the only thing that comes out of this is damn good games  |

if this game does take what i considor the best setting for a fantasy MMO and makes a damn fine game then follows it up and makes a 40k (best sci fi MMO setting) game then i would be set (gaming wise) for many years.
cant wait for both this and the 40k one  |

another thing no one really seems to realise is that when u give the player the ability to do things like headshots then you basically get a division in the game. much like in games like Battlefield and counterstrike there will be people who will wtfpwn everybody else and there will be the others who (lets be honest) suck. when you bring people like those that play counter strike into an RPG where brains are supposed to outclass everything and your ability to play the game well, gains you rewards (phat lewt and respect) then the strong get stronger and the weak get pissed off. RPG's are very balanced in that it doesnt take hours and hours of constant headshots to be no1 it takes brains, friends and some skill.
another point is if u dont like the game then you dont have to play it. i for one do like peoples this game sucks because... comments as they allow me to see the aspects of the game that might suck. but in the end it all comes down to playing the game for myself. and thats my 2c |
