In a sick type of way...it would be funny if all the folks that want "servers their way", or "botting shouldnt be bannable", or "gold sellers shouldnt be banned", or any of the other numerous complaints were to actually get all MMOs to close down...at least in America.
Would hear a collection of folks going "Rut-roh...we fracked up".
I am of the mind-set it is the companies' game. Dont sit there, and attempt to dictate the terms of their game. Either play their game, and in the manner they intended for ya to...or get out and STFU.
It really is that simple.
I saw an interview with one of the Warhammer guys....he indicated that MMOs have become the most common failure in the gaming market. Companies losing tons of money on failed ventures. So dont see where folks get a stake in "selling gold in game" or whatever else the company says that you cant do.
Sure didnt see you providing them with the capital needed to build the game...so what gives consumers the right to control it?
Like I said...would like to see them do away with all MMOs...just for the sick satisfaction of saying "Had to keep running your mouth eh?".
