I would like to play an MMO that is story driven and has modern ranged combat  that is cover based... so I guess Stargate Worlds is for me... thats when it comes out.

What all you have linked and said is true... I mean I really liked the game... Who should I blame... there are so many but I just want my good game back and a competant managing staff.........that is all.....

Well for this year I have set my eyes on AoC but I might wait for a trial, the one thing I am truely waiting for is Stargate Worlds, Awesome stuff right there, and maybe Jumpgate.

It is obvious that those things are easily spoted and games warn you that it is against there rules. No matter what you do though they win, I mean if you loose your account you will prob buy a new one, so I guess if u enjoy the game why do it? and if you dont like it why play it?

What you have just said is exactly what the developers say Stargate Worlds will be, I mean it  is a great idea and you should read about it or even check out their site plus their podcasts, it is really something you should look into, I mention this because they are creating an MMO without grinding and something truely story driven that anyone can dive into with or without a group, oh but it wont be out for a while thats the only downside, until then though I am not quite sure.

CoH was good to me I mean I got bored of WoW and stuff, but right now I dont see anything worth playing,

for the future though, thats if you guys can hold out for a few months, definately try AoC when it comes out or Stargate Worlds, which I am really looking forward too, new guild wars might be ok... sorry but I guess we dont agree on this but I reckon WAR wont be that great, its just not a good time for MMOs now I have turned to Team fortress 2 and CoD4, along with C and C on the side.

Oh worth mentioning if your up for the hardcore sci fi scene eve is certainly interesting amd worth with an in depth economy and a story line that is pretty immaginative, PotBS might be alright if you are looking for something different, but for the game the server you choose  is important, I though it wasn't too bad.

I hear tabula has quests and levels, two things I despise.

Enter random teamspeak/ventrilo servers, listen to the misery and frustration of EQ2 and WoW players - you'll see what I mean.

Unfortunate that there are so many carebears these days - they can't fend for themselves like an 18 year old who has been dumped by his parents into the harsh working world. They can't survive ridicule and harrassment, running like children to the feet of GMs who will readily step into the game world and yank an 'evil' character out. They will conglomerate and clog the sewers of shit that are all heading in the same direction with the same meaningless purpose.

It was fun the first half of my MMORPG. I've met a lot of good chaps who've left MMORPG gaming for good, and I'm afraid that I will be too. There's just too many good games out there - and I'm not wasting my time on another stupid MMORPG (besides EVE, lol).

Runeshit is a horrible MMO and is a blight on the genre, which leads to the generalization that MMO's suck, which in the case of  "that which shall not be named" it is true, ask anyone who has played the game and moved on, lol and these were people that were members I mean they play "GOOD" games now.

I only hope the MMO genre can recover from the stain of... "IT".

A Source close to Bioware, apperantly,  revealed that the MMO being developed in Bioware's Austin Studios is making Knights of the Old Republic Online. This site claims it is not a rumor, and I can only hope they are telling the truth.

True that would be awesome having a KotOR MMO not only because of the great history of the Republic and the whole star wars scene but because of the awesome gameplay and revolutionary ideas, and if A KotOR MMO was half as good as either of the KotOR games then it would be an MMO worth playing.

Well AoC being an MMO and requiring the net I don't see a bunch of nerds having problems with finding nipples... now real ones thats a prob lol, I am all for freedom of expression and such but I don't believe some nipple in a video game counts as art.

Still looking forward to AoC and Stargate Worlds.

I agree I cant wait... that said though CME has the go ahead to make this game good and not to release it before they are ready so it might take a while but it should be worth it.

Its kinda funny the distorted perception people have, even those you play the game. The people who play wow 8 hours a day then say "wow ruined my life" or junk like that. Or the ever famous, im addicted but I cant stop.

People spend 7 hours in a bloody shopping mall as teenagers. People can go out and drink/club from 10 to 4am.. thats a 6 hour grind session. Problem is, people think thats cool, yet 6 hours of a video game with friends is baaaaaaad.

Its just what people choose to do with their time. If you fill your time with video games, great, you enjoy them. If your shrugging off your family and everything cause your playing games... Thats not the game, your just a moron and need to stop using the game as an excuse for your problems.

I've played Wow for 8 hour stints.. heck ive done 12 hours with friends, get home at noon from class and played till midnightish, ofcourse we stop for dinner and food. last time we went out for chinese :P

spending 8 hours playing a game is no worse than 3 hours of reading, followed by an hour of tv, followed by a hour of pissing the house and then 3 hours of video games...

its just your HORRIBLY distorted perception, and abuse of the word addiction.
