It should be alright, but if it gets to populare, it will be like SG1 or atlantis or farscape all over again, it will get good, then when it becomes to expensive to produce anyme, they end the show and cap it off will a dvd movie release |

Originally posted by Alxgranger Well from what i've read the game is supposed to take place between seasons eight and nine, b4 all of the major changes take place in the stargate unvierse.
we had spaceships, promethius makes its appearence in season six, and daedalus in ep one of season 2. Plus im sure there will be plenty of gou'auld ships to hijack, |

Totally agree, we need more GOOD sci fi sand box mmos, with both fps aspects, and maybe a space combat/ vehicle combat aspect. |

Agreed, i remeber when I used to play , it was reallyfun, me and about 4 mates started playing it together and it and its expansions kept us entertained for ages, but RL took over, and school, then we lost interest, but GW is still going and its pretty good... Like i like the lack of grind at the story line was pretty good, and it was actually used. |

Am I the only person who has not played POTBS?
General Discussion « Pirates of the Burning Sea 12/18/08 7:23:47 PM
Yes you are.... Nah hahaha im sure there are others out there. But it was a good game I liked it, but not enought to keep playing, if u get a chance you should test it out, its just a different mmo, and those ship to ship battles keep things interesting. |

Burnt, spellborn is actually selling, not as well as expected, but from what i have read, its selling, ow and i cant wait to give aion a try... |

It has been effective with EA, it is far beyond time for an SOE boycott!
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 12/17/08 4:56:00 PM
Im no hate monger, i mean i might sound like a flammer, now but, pre nge was good, not the greatest but it was good and SoE is mostly a company that looks towards short term financial gains rather than a stable long term finabcial status and it isnt that great too its customers. |

That's true, they aught to wait to see what the long term gains are.. if there are any before they start calling it a success. |

Im not going to judge it by what happened in the beta, but i would really love if they offered a trial the cheap bastards... |

Returning ... and gone again already
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 12/17/08 1:32:05 AM
I think the game would suck, and im not goig to rashly waste my money, so I only wish they had a trial, cause u cant really judge a game by its beta... |

This must be a popular troll and flammer thread, I mean it had some things wrong with it, like i hated the grind but it has done some great things for the MMO industry. Sure im over it, I mean the grind got to me, and I realy didnt like how they didnt use that great storyline they had, they should have made it more story orientated rather then grind orientated. |

Character Customization - Far too often neglected and half-assed...
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 12/13/08 3:51:33 AM
Yeah customization is really important, as it helps u to sort of bond with your character and really get into the game and since you begin the game , by creating this character, u might as well like what u create, so the customization is very important to me. I just hope its done right, but right now its just hype, so we'll see later. |

Graphics: Is there no pleasing people?

Indeed. Mythic seems to have put all energy in the gameplay. So be it. Game's fun in the beginning (playin the 5-Bucks-EU-Preoder to have a look). But the whole presentation - gfx, artwork, animations, soundeffects, music, lore - is outdated and mediocre at best. Besides Mass-PVP and PQs there is nothing special that makes a difference between WAR and those who were smart enough to copy WAR's (Tabletop) look years before. Clunky elves, dwarves & orcs. A polished game for average-joe-fantasy-lover.
I agree, but if I do play any mmo coming out, ot'll be for the story, and the gameplay, graphics arent as important- so long as they are up to standards with the rest of the gen, hell i mean even gw is fine. Im more about what makes it different, pvp, and gameplay. |
