I did 27-28 professions If I remember correctly before I started my jedi path (Heck yea I only used one holocron hehe) but I really enjoyed the game, so many possibilities, so many things to do, and like my cousin always says, who by the way loved the game aswell (...Thing about swg was, if ya hated grinding the standard mmorpg way, killing, looting, killing, looting, you could focus 100% on crafting and still earn alot more than anyone killing 24/7 could.) oh yea it was good times :) I remember my shop just out of coronet, geez one day me and my cousin used like 3½ hours making it look good inside, and we actually had people come to our house and logout there cause it was so beatiful lol (Come to think of it, it was pretty funny).

Anyway, I dont really know why I came to write this post, I just think I wanted to share my vision of what was and always will be the best mmorpg in my opinion. Thanks alot for reading.

I think about the same stuff. In SWG, Pre-CU, you had so many possibilities. I was a Ranger/Rifleman. I would hunt nearly all the time. I loved it. No armor and no buffs except maybe for mind buffs.

Running out to what I called the Rancor Plateus on Dathomir. Then track for rancors. Not forgetting to camo up. Walk to the nest then lay down a short way from the nest. Start headshotting them. Loot and skin. Pop the nest once. Headshotting again. Loot/skin again. Pop nest down to half. Headshot more. Finish off nest. Finish loot and skin. Pop a camp and take a rest.

Of course it was risky. If you could drop a rancor in one hit then you wouldnt aggro anything. But if they had even 1 point of mind left it would pull the whole nest down on you. I cant count how many times I was running with a train of rancors behind me or waking up in the cloner.

I had a couple of factories on Dathomir for storage. They are still there last time I checked. Hidden back in a valley where no one will ever find them. And still packed full of hide, bone, meat, and a ton of supplies. It was full of cases of T21s, foods, spices, healing supplies, camps, camo kits, PuPs, etc. Some of it is gone now thanks to the NGE.

I still remember the one late night I was out hunting rancors and saw, off the distance, a strange glowing object swinging away. Looked like a short blue laser. I snuck up on the glow and saw my first player jedi in the wild. Seen one in a starport before but seeing one in the wild was alot more rewarding. One hit he was dead. I was an imperial after all. It was my duty. For the next three hours he whined at me. "Your an a-hole. I wouldnt do that to you." heh was so fun.

Last time I was ingame I went looking for my factories on Dath. I passed a place that almost put me to tears. My old guild called it Last Stand Rock. It was our last big hunt together before the NGE. I had dropped a camp near an outcropping of rocks to take a break. A group of Nightsisters and NS Rancors had spawned near us. We pulled up camp to move but the aggro already got us. We got attacked hard. We started fighting like mad. But something was wrong with this spawn. Normally 3 spawns and its done. But this time they kept coming. And rather quickly. We decided this rock would be our last stand for the night. We blasted them hard. But slowly our numbers started dwindling. Pretty soon we just had 3 of us left. But still we fought. For you NGErs out there. This was a time when the game was actually hard. We lasted about 10 minutes. Then it was just two of us. I died next about 2 minutes later. The last guy stayed there another 5 minutes before he fell. From then on that rock out cropping was called Last Stand Rock. 2 weeks later the NGE was announced. Our guild fell apart shortly after. Sad.

Oh yea believe me I've hunted a few rancors myself ;) was great fun hehe.. But what I really loved was being an NS Elder hunter. Took like 30mins to kill one, and if ya didnt intimidate all the time, you were dead meat in 2 hits hehe.. was especially fun when I found out later elder crystals was the best ones, and that's when I had just started my jedi path hehe, so I had a ton in my bank :) pretty nice for saber experimenting. Ever since I stopped playing swg I've hoped SOE would come to realize they made a huge mistake and would roll back, but now I'm starting to realize that's never gonna happen. They must be blind if they can't see their own game is dead, or if they can't see they've ruined the game.

Oh well, hopefully someday, a game will come that'll give the same fun and feelings. (doubt it though).

And here's my point of view: Why even care what people say? People saying another game is a wow clone has no idea about how the mmorpg scene works, nor do they have ANY clue what so ever about what the mmorpg scene/genre was before wow came. It's so obvious that 90% of the time it's kids who think wow actually was the first mmorpg, and 10% of the time it's people who are addicted to wow who can't believe people are actually playing another game than wow. That's my 2 cents, now go sit in the corner and cry.

Never played swg before? no idea what it used be like? Never heard of the old system? Never followed the work of SOE? It might be a good game for you then, give it a try

Being a SWG veteran myself, I'd have to say the game now, is horrible compared to what it used to be like, but then again, so many hate SOE threads Im not gonna start a new one here hehe.

But yea give it a try if you've never played it before.. However if ya do have played it before, you're up for a surprise in changes, I'll promiss you.

Some might think this would be a stupid question, but frankly there's no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid answers!

So I'm basicly just wondering, are there no official forums up yet for this game? I haven't been able to find em so yea their prolly aren't. Just wanted to make sure :)
