Goodday/Evening, [EU]

I'm looking for a raf partner(Europe) to level a new char with. I'm looking to make a new main character, since I got rather tired of my paladin. I'm thinking of making a priest, but I dont really care what you wanna go, it'll all do just fine :)

I'm 24 years old, got mic and ventrilo, which I prefer to use, makes it abit easier. I'd prefer someone fluent in english and someone who wont quit after 5 levels.. I'm only looking to make one(maybe two) chars, but seeing as this is gonna be my new main, it would be awesome with someone who would like to continue after 60, to say 80 aswell :) (Oh P.S I got Vanilla key aswell)

Anyway drop a message here in the thread(or PM), if you want, leave your MSN address and I will add you right away!

Thanks alot for your time.

Best game there ever was, without a doubt. My best moments in that game, will never have that feeling for a game, ever again

I just got a buddy key, and I really enjoy the game.. However I find the questing/mission system is really dull.. I mean, accept mission, go to location, go up in elevator, kill kill kill, loot, rince repeat. THere's no variation in the missions at all, very sad. I'm finding I can only play like 30 mins then I shut it down and need a brake.

Downloading :) (and the high ress ofcourse) I'm looking forward to this ;) Thanks Ave

I'd love to give it a try. feel free to drop me a buddy key in PM :) Thanks in advance.

The release date is set to may 25th yes, it could be however australia gets it 1st of june, I've heard from other games in the past it ships alil' later to you guys. Dont know how Funcom will work that out though.

wow amazing job there mate, thanks alot   Some great information, and really cleared up a few unanswered questions for me. A shame about Stage6 though, it was a great place for movies, loved their player, but I hope you find another site where you can up the movies, I'd love to watch em.

Once again, cheers.

True, many people tend to get abit too hyped over some coming games, which leads to dissapointments once they experience it themselves. I've tried it myself many many times, but if we weren't, the producers and makers of the games, wouldn't make better and better products. And besides, if you're arent extremed hyped about a game, the game will be an even bigger dissapointment. People tend to settle, and realise even though their expectations were abit higher than what was given, it turned out allright, and can only become better, as the game and time goes by.

Considered how PvP aimed this game is, and how much funcom have done to make it very pvp focused, I doubt it'll end up the way your socalled "Pve carebears" want it :) But if you go ahead and base wether you should play or not, on some random forum posts, made by people who are more pve focused, then you should really learn to sorten out your priorities. Just ignore them, that simple, if all ignored them, they wouldn't have anyone to discuss with, except themselves. I too am tired of 90% being pve based, and I hope AoC will bring so much more to the pvp world.

Only thing I'm abit sceptic about, is the way you heal others. Like he said, You dont pick em from the UI bar, and then click "heal", no you stand behind the one you want to heal, and then click heal. I believe a system like this would cause many problems, like say you're about to heal someone who are at critical, and someone runs infront of you, and the heal will change target? I sure hope this system  works, cause I honestly think it sounds like its gonna be really hard to time and get to work properly. However he might've just not gone into enough details about it, and then again I havent tried beta so dont know exactly how it works, only from what he said in that clip.

I'm with you, I'm quite interested in how healing will work, they could very well just allow you to target and then click on Heal and follow the combo (although the animation would have to be different, so that you don't start swinging around)

On a better note, we actually saw some female avatars which looked really cool.

You heal in a cone area infront of you.  A big - V - basicly.
If you've ever played Ryzom, it's the same idea as how you use to find harvest nodes in the ground.

If you listen carefully he says it, but doesn't go into details.

Ok so actually all heals are Area of Effect. Then I have a new sceptic view, does this mean every single target who are in the cone will get the full effect of the heal, or is the heal amount divided depending on how big a percentage of the cone are targetting them? Well stupid asking seeing as those who are in beta can't answer anyway, but that's something I'm looking forward to finding out.

2.4 is now on testservers.  Actually its not a test.  Its a pile of things that havn't been worked on at all.  Already a total of 4 players from my guild have now left the game cause of huge unbalancing issues that are coming up, both in terms of abilites and items.  Class balanced is beeing tossed around from one day to another - making changes to piss ppl off - just the next day to change something else that makes ppl even more pissed.

This is not what any game developer should do.  There is now 3 years since WOW came out and you would have thought if they had learned SOMETHING is that you dont PLAY around with class balance.  That is a capital offence in a MMO game.

Im discussed to see the total lack of respect that Blizzard has shown to their players.   It doesn't matter if you get 1 person offended or 10 million.  You always fail if you dont carry full respect to every single one.  Yet alone whole class or whole spec.

To me this is a new low in history of MMOs.  The biggest Game developer of mmos desides to play around with class balance from day to day.  No thx

Any chance of getting this translated into English?

Oh, and its "disgust" actually, not "discussed", instead of giving the impression that you were not happy with that statement, you instead made it out to seem as if you wanted to sit and talk over all the bad with Blizzard.

I suggest staying in school, and playing less video games, strictly my personal opinion of course.

And you "kind" sir, should move back in with mom and dad, and learn some basic respect for others. Ever occured to you, that not all are born and raised with English? Ever occured to you, that some people dont even have it in school? My guess would be no, you have no such knowledge, obviously seen from your post there. But tell you what, why dont you go learn another language fluently, then come mock others about their language skills.

Goodday.

All good console games allow jumping, so don't worry about AoC not allowing jumping... which was SO annoying in GW

Trolling much MrVicchio?

There is currently no console version of the game although the developers seriously consider making one. I'm pretty sure it will be tied to the reception of the PC version, so don't hold your breath if the PC version doesn't fare well.

Yes, it has jumping. Only a handful of MMOs don't give you the option. Just don't expect to jump more than what you'd realistically expect from a human to do so (aka no jumping to rooftop of buildings etc.)

Thought it was gonna be released to the 360 at some other time?

Good question, however I'm pretty sure you can! I dont know if it would go against the NDA if someone from the beta told something like this?

Haven't we been reading these type of threads for the past 15 year?

Word.

Honestly however, I dont see why OP even had to do a thread about it? I mean, if you dont like it, ignore it? Yet you just had to come in, and post about it. It sounds to me like you were really looking forward to this game, and something came, and ruined it for ya. Just cause you've lost the "feeling" doesnt mean you have to try and make us loose it aswell, oh wait, aint gonna happen anyway. Some of us, are actually looking forward to it.

For me I tend to sway towards shapeshifting classes primarily in any MMOs I play or something thats slightly different from the norm.

Therefore Im looking at the Necromancer and Herald of Xotli with anticipation and one of these will most likely be my primary char. That said Im not usually one for melee fighting with swords and other weapons but the real time combat system with manual blocking that they are implementing might just break my habit of a lifetime :)

Also the Lich used to be a melee form that pounded people, from what Ive read since they have merged it into the Necromancer class the lich is no longer a melee form but a souped up caster form.

They wanted to differentiate it from the Herald, which is why the merger took place in the first place ;)

I feel the exact same way.. Most people always tend to go with the big badass ones, reading the small text on each class "Most dangerous and feared bla bla" and pick that one.. Normally however, in my opinion, the ones that seem a little out of the league, always tend to the be real dangerous ones. But we'll see, this thread has shown however alot going for the same, I'll try and stay away from the majority, and go as I said first, for a necro, it seems not many have that pick in mind, so thats cool.

I got a 360, and theres no way Im gonna play this game on a console, some games are just not meant for consoles! and in my opinion, nor is this.

Herald of Xotli all the way.  Hybrid class with a demon form, now that just sounds badass.

I read Necros were able to take on somekinda Demonic form aswell? Not sure if this is the same as what you're refering too, just something I read on the AoC site.

So bascially what you're saying is, that you should be rewarded, for not having any job, no social life, nor any friends, but 18 hours a day, to sit infront of your computer, and play? Seriously, If you're calling casuals carebears, then you must fit the group "No Lifers" perfectly.
