P.S. If you people spent more time complaining about things that mattered instead of investing all your energy on ragging on video games, perhaps youd accomplish something positive.

Then again from some standpoints,  you are right where you belong, not bothering the rest of the world.

See, this is a common source of misunderstandings in the world, the tendency to believe that everything is about YOU.

No one -- I repeat, NO ONE -- is trying to dissuade you from anything.  If you like Vanguard the way it is, more power to you.  You can play it from now until the day you die, and it won't make a bit of difference to anyone posting here.

People post criticisms of this game not because they want to ruin your fun, but for several other reasons:

First, they want Sigil to know why they are dissatisfied.  How else will the game improve if the developers don't know what's wrong with it?

Second, they want to warn people who are thinking of getting the game.  If those people want to believe the fanbois over the critics, then that's their problem, but at least they won't be able to say they weren't warned.  It's no different than the way you might warn a friend against seeing a terrible movie.

And finally, there's the matter of setting the record straight.  I see all kinds of dishonest and/or incomplete reporting coming out of the fans on this board.  There is nothing wrong with trying to set the record straight.

As for "broken record trolling," how is posting a criticism any more a waste of time than broken record fanboyism?  Neither person is playing the game or "accomplishing something positive," as you so vaguely suggest.

You know what's immature?  Telling someone to go away because you don't want anyone else to hear their opinion.  Fans are scared to death (and rightly so) that people will read the bad news and not buy the game, and Sigil will get what's coming to them for releasing a turd.  Negative comments can't ruin anyone's fun.  If you find them so painful, you don't have to read them.  But there are a lot of people who want to hear the bad as well as the good before they buy.

What game are you playing and why are you here again?  And why would you care if Vanguard succeeds or not.  Unless you are again another one whose outcry for help is because Vanguard is taking away your games subs.  Otherwise why care about a game you obviously dont like?

Hmm, you reply to my simple statement of fact (followed by an educated prediction) by telling me who I am and why I do things.

I have news for you -- the only game whose subs Vanguard is taking away is Horizons.  And I assure you, I do NOT care about that.

I don't care if Vanguard succeeds, but I do have an axe to grind with people like you who tricked me into spending $50 on a coaster set.  If they eventually get their act together, fine.  But if you think this game is beautiful at the moment, you have very poor taste.

Telling people who don't like the game to go away isn't going to save your precious game.  If anything, Sigil needs the feedback so they can know why people are leaving.  It's not like they have their own forums or an exit survey or anything.  So in the long run, you are doing more to kill Vanguard by trying to chase away the critics than we are by posting our opinions.
