At the most some of the content may be moderated for the Australian market and the game will receive an MA15+ rating (ESRB 'M' equivalent). However, given the nature of some of the MA15+ games already available here in Australia, it's unlikely Age of Conan will be censored/moderated at all. To be honest, I don't see a game like Age of Conan being banned from sale in any country with a strong video game market.

Age of Conan will also be playable on Windows XP DX9 systems, and while it might not look as "spectacular" with DX9 as opposed to a DX10 set-up, the graphics settings will be scalable so that you can configure the game to suit your computer's capabilities.

Originally posted by ippo I don't remember them giving an exact number, but they did say "a few hundred" would be included in the first wave. So I'm gessing anywhere between 300-600. |

Originally posted by checkthis500 I wouldn't call that an official announcement though; it's an estimation, so don't treat it as gospel just yet. Keep in mind also those specifications were cited midway through last year, so quite a lot could have changed between now and then. When Funcom put it in a Press Release, you can then treat it as gospel. |

I think Funcom realises not everyone has available to them a high-end system or the funds (even between now and October) to get a new high-end system. Thus, in the alpha and beta stages of testing, I believe the devs will work from the top-down to optimise the game for those with older machines. We've been told by the devs the game will be highly customisable on the graphical end, so really, no one should be too worried that AoC is going to be completely unplayable on their current system. However, if you can afford even minor upgrades to your system, just to be on the safe side, do it, but just to be certain. I'm sure Funcom will make an official announcement regarding AoC's system requirements in the very near future. |

Anyway, I can see where you're coming from. There have been other games that have promised much but fallen short on the delivery. Fable springs to mind, and dare I say it, Vanguard. Flame on! |

Originally posted by bruse Camels and Horses will be the standard means of transport from zone to zone in AoC (as well as the standard mounts for combat), but you only find Mammoths in Siege PvP. Mammoths will not be available as mounts for getting from zone to zone. |

$15(US) a month is approximately 50cents a day, and there are other payment options which in fact work out to be cheaper by the month also. So look at it this way, the most you are going to pay for playing a single MMO is 50cents a day. That's hardly bank-breaking. |

Polearms will also feature in the game (pole axes, bardiches, etc.).

Obviously if you intend on running AoC on Vista/DX10, then you're going to need a high-end computer with an 8800 GPU. However, the devs have said that the game graphics will be customisable so that players with machines a couple of years old will be able to play the game smoothly. A rule of thumb the devs used was, "If your machine is good enough to run TES:Oblivion smoothly, then it will be able to run AoC smoothly." |
