Originally posted by Realbigdeal No, I don't want Fallen Earth, it's boring as hell. I don't know why because just as you say I really should like it when I look at the features. I think it is the world design and feel to the world. This is what is great in DF and meh in Fallen Earth. Anyway I didn't demand for Darkfall to go PvE, I pointed out three problem areas that would have to be adressed IF they were to try a PvE server. But I think developers underestimate how many PvE-players there are looking for a good sandbox game. My points were not to be taken as what I wanted in the game, just issues for a PvE server. Point 1. I think would have to be adressed to hold full time pve:ers for a long time, 2. I know that is what DF is about and something that would have to be changed on a pve-server, but I'm pretty sure many pve:ers would like player owned cities as well. Point 3, well yes we agree. I didn't quit DF in july because of PvP, I quit due to time restraints, this game eats your time like no other game! If I have a wish for what DF should be, then it is like now but with more RP-incentives, perhaps a little more in the DAoC direction with racial wars and some harsher mechanics for going red/benefits of staying blue. |

I would love a DF PvE server since PvE is what I played DF for, but I see at least three areas they would need to adress if making a pve server: 1. More PvE/(+other time sinks) content, what is there today is great but with a PvE only server new content must be added all the time. 2. Player cities? What to do with them, how will they change hands etc. A more controlled PvP environment? Or how? 3. The economy. As someone noted, the game economy is centered around FFA full loot pvp, which means constantly hunting for new gear or new materials. This need would be greatly diminished on a PvE server and would quickly lead to inflation. That said, DF has such a fantastic world and feel to it that it is sad that your everyday PvE:er who hates pvp doesn't get to know it :( |

Most poorly executed launch in mmo history.

Actually, so far this is the BEST launch I've been part of. Worst??? Hahaha, I'll just assume you were not born when Anarchy online launched. |

Thank you for all the replies, I reckon it might be time soon to try the game out! |

Sid and Wargoul are right, that was the reason I quit as well...I am contemplating coming back though, but we shall see. Would be nice to get a clearer statement from Aventurine first! |

As a swede and sandbox fan I have an interest in MO, but only played in Beta almost 2 years ago (dreadful experience, I'm sad to say). But where does MO stand today? I will try Star Wars on release, but expect to go back to either Vanguard or Darkfall after a couple of months, or perhaps to MO? Any reason I should choose MO over Darkfall or maybe VG? I'm mostly a PvE-person but I like sandboxes and hence I have come peace with that I will be cannon fodder in PvP games but still be able to enjoy them... So, please, why should or should I not play MO, and how is the PvE part of the game (think I can visualize the pvp part). |

Someone care to explain what the f**k this sentence means: "Darkfall 2.0 is a new game, however, it is also the new chapter of Darkfall."????? So what is it? A new game or an expansion or a patch, with wipe or without, will you have to buy a new game, will the two DF-games co-exist etc etc. Seriously, can't they at least hire someone who knows how to lie well and confuse us without us thinking we are confused? |

Played at launch and tried it again today, no problems at all, I even resubbed at Wastelander level. Can't remember why I left it just feels so good to be back. Lots of people everywhere too! edit: Shouldn't have said that, I just crashed and can't get back on, server trouble? |

Another 6 years + before Xbox 360 gets a successor

bezado, the only logic fault in your thinking is that the PS2 is still somewhat healthy and within its lifespan. That is older consoles continue to live on after the new ones appear. |

Works great on iPhone3GS, but I can see why it would be better on a pad. BTW, you should also check Celtic Heroes out, quite similiar but not as blatant a WoW-clone as this, plus no sub fee. Actually, finally we get to see some decent MMO:s for our phones and pads, this is just the beginning and it is just going to get better :) |

For sake of correctness...I was in no way involved in this, just posted it here because it's such a great video!

This is a funny DF-video posted on EU1-forums earlier today. Things like this is what makes DF a unique game!

Partly yes, but the world needs to have lore as a backdrop, then you rp with that lore in the background. For good immersion you need to have a good explanation as to why things are as they are in the world you're thrown into. |

You could also make an offer for the Guestroom furniture I looted.....adds 4 bindspots to a large villa. I'll give you a friendly price. |

I agree about Darkfall, just give the trial a shot. I too loved Vanguard and Darkfall has the same feel to it, don't be afraid of the ffa full loot aspect of the game. It will soon feel natural to you and gear is very easy to replace. edit: You will hate the UI at first, just have patience with it. |

That is not entirely true, granted 90% of the players look upon pve that way. But it is à question of mindset, myself I enjoy the character progression and the pve itself. The pvp bring some spice to the world and is not at all as uncomfortable as I had imagined it to be. I like the crafting and gathering as well, but yes, the game lacks a lot of sand for the box. It is important to stress though that this is not fantasy quake. Hopefully with more sand there will come more clans with a broader view of the game. But for fellow pve:ers, ffa full loot is nothing to be afraid or even annoyed about. I felt more aggravated when killed in wow than I do in DF!
Edit: total playtime 3-4 months, so you can put my post in perspective, for better or worse Edit 2: To make this wall of text readable, Iphones obviously don't think readability is important... |

I just want to say, I suck at DF combat, but it is clearly the most fun MMO-combat I have tried! Other than that, I too wish for more sandbox elements, Im in this game for the pve not the pvp... |
