There is no multiple graphics card support for this game. I was reading a post on perpetumm that said the game does not support multiple cards but it uses memory from all available cards. That doesn't seem right. Why would a game's coding allow useage of memory from all cards when it doesn't support them?  Something seems terribly wrong there.

It's using the memory for textures.  This keeps the cards from using your main memory for textures.  The more textures you have on your card, the faster they load and the less lag you have.

I don't think displaying the game on multiple monitors is supported or maybe it's the Eyefinity across 3 monitors with 180 degree viewing angle that isn't supported.

I run my rig with BGF gtx 260 MAXCORE x 2 with surround gaming enabled pumping out to three 23" wide screen monitors and I can display the game across all three monitors.

Well, because the game tends to lean towards a multi-account game play, doesn't have anything to do with multi accounts. I just don't see the leap in your logic since they are separate system/sites.

If you can't see the connection(s) perhaps GM/Mod isn't your specialty? I mean, you had to know what was going on, I've seen it talked about in chat as well and people just "lol'd" when you asked them to come to this site and hype the game up. Now a normal lol wouldn't mean anything, but when it is followed by "time to fire up the alt accounts" or something along those's kinda suspicious. even to a newcomer.

I'm sure you can search the chat logs, I haven't the time and even so, they are standard text files easily altered. It's not a leap, its just a simple observation.

Wait are you now saying I said this in game "go hype the game up at"?

If so I did not say anything in game about go hype the game up and if people are talking about firing up alts in game then it is just that. In game alts for industry, combat etc.

So I still don't get how this leads to people using multi accounts on It isn't a matter of me having a specialty for GM/Mod you are now using personal attacks to try and get your logic or observation of in game chat, about firing up alts to mean they were getting on multi alt acounts here at

Sorry, but your logic is a reach.

It sounds more like you don't like the game.

So what is it like when you are in a heavy mech?  What is the difference in size between the starter mini-robot and the heavy assault robot?

The mechs and Heavy Mechs are much bigger then the bots and stand on two legs like a mech should. Yes while they are bigger then the bots there are hills and terrain that still are bigger.

The first time you get into a mix battle of bots and Mechs for their specific roles you will see why the game scale is done the way it is... The terrain comes into play for pvp....

Just to clarify a little.  We are actually ok with devs encouraging their site visitors to come to and have their opinion on the game be heard (or any fan site, etc).  The only reason this particular instance crossed a line (and it barely crossed the line) was the part about asking to get the score up to an 8.0 or better - this pretty much instructs how to vote (obviously voting below a score of 8.0 will not help the goal that the GM set).

We have had other developers setup contests and reward people (even with in game currency) for submitting high reviews/hypes and this is strictly forbidden and we generally take much harsher action.  In this occurence we set back all hype scores from the date of the post on the Perpetuum offiial boards and have temporarily halted hyping on this game.  We aplogize to all those who placed legit hypes in this timeframe, as you will have to re-submit your score when this is re-activated.

Thanks for the post and where the status of this sits currently.

Correct, and lesson learned. Must be very careful about the way I post things and the wording. I really did not mean for people to make multi accounts.

Thanks for the constructive input on my mistakes.

It's easy to be misunderstood. Especially on a fourm that promotes multiple accounts as a standard for gameplay. I can see where the user thought it may be helpful.

This remind me of the Runes of Magic thing and the readers choice awards lol. The runes of magic devs were blasting players with tweets, in game messages, announcements etc. Even rewarding them lol. They tried to justify it by saying that Aion put on it's website a message about the readers choice awards asking players to vote lol. Not exactly the same.

This is a bit more than saying on the games website "Hey, if you enjoy Perpetuum make sure to rate it on". Asking players to help you get it to 8.0 or higher is an open invitation for multiple accounts and etc. Players tend to be zealots when it comes to their game of choice at times.

As a GM or a Dev or even just a community liaison you must always keep that in mind. Many of these players are young and you are basically exploiting their naivety and enthusiasm with a request like that.

Whether it was intentional or not I don't know, but in case it wasn't do keep this in mind for future reference.

So? Every game does this, Rift, swtor every game out there. And he is not a dev, he is a gm, he bears the same guilt as every other random guy posting the same thread on other games forums. Give him a break, shall you?

If we knew what he posted, then removed, about the other forum user abusing this system by using alternate accounts to add hype maybe things would be alright? It might also clear up some of these elaborate consipracy theories that are being conjured up.

The post I remove was me making a comment to said Perpetuum player "Nice, LOL" then later realized he may not be kidding. I have no way of proving that said user/player even hyped the game incorrectly. For all I know it was hyped by more players coming into the game since it went Open Beta.

Unfortunate. Now I can't help but think that the Dev's just feel the public is no more then cattle, and will buy the game just cause other people are.

Not interested. Hype of 0

This is not the case at all. The DEV team has nothing to do with this and I am not a DEV. I am a GM and that is it. I do not work for the creators of the game. I am a volunteer GM.

I would like to apologize to the community managers for this mix up. While I had posted a thread asking for Perpetuum players to help me to get the hype up on the game, I would like to point out that I never once told anyone how to vote.

Once again I would like to apologize to the community managers, users and the Perpetuum dev team for my mistake.

Community member Lexor has started a competition involving Perpetuum related artwork and stories, with the prize for each being 1 early access code, which gives 7 day early access and 30 days of free Extension Points to spend on skills, as well as the normal 30 day subscription after the first 7 days.

See the following link to post your submission and for additional details: … es-inside/

I was never a mission runner in EVE. I can count the amount of times I did missions.. I think. :) I also hated rating for isk in EVE.

While the assignment system in Perpetuum is pretty close to the mission system in EVE, you may not like that side of it. But straight out npc hunting is much more fun in Perpetuum for me than ratting in EVE ever was.

The PVP in Perpetuum is awesome. And once you get into your first fight you will see how different it is then EVE.

PVP is a blast and they do have outposts that corps can fight over for control with what is called the intrusion system.

Later on corps will be able to build there own outposts/base etc. and also be able to terraform the area.

Game goes like the following...

Character pilots a robot or mech. No human character just a picture avatar.

Player can run missions, mine,  and farm game currency, kernels and perform industry manufacturing, prototyping, and reverse engineer items while you waut for your Extension Point Pool (EP) to build up EP that can be used to further the progression of your character.

All of that and I didn't even talk about the PVP you can do on the beta islands that have outpost for corps to fight over control of them.....

Can't use payapl?

Woot Woot! \o/ Awesome!

Why does MMORPG keep posting this news?

This game has been open beta for a while now. They had an auto-approval processes for signing up at their site 5 months ago. That is NOT closed beta.

Open or closed beta, the game is still very very bad.

That's your opinion.

My own opinion is that the basics of the game are quite good.

They have a nice sized game world, a market, a good mission system and pvp.

Everything else will be added overtime just like every other game.

Don't forget they have a territory control system too. Corporations can fight for control of outposts on the pvp islands. :)

If you were not part of the closed beta. I invite you all to check it out on 10/18. The game is a blast! Fun for all play styles.

The two games cannot even be compared.......
