What holiday event is your favorite in Guild Wars?
Lion's Arch (General) « Guild Wars 9/07/07 6:38:32 PM
Thanks for posting 8hammer8, Sounds like the first Halloween was a real blast ! I have an idea for the celebration, it would be awesome to have a big old spooky haunted house. You could be exploring the house and this really tough monster that everyone dreads to see appears from out of nowhere. But what it really is it's just an illusion triggered by walking over a certain section of main path flooring every so many times. To make the illusion more real it'll be able to do some damage (ex. a river scale). But it scares most people into running as fast as you can right into a trap. That would be just too awesome! They could set the flooring for a random number of times like 1-5 so that it would be harder to find and figure out. Also they could have the trigger piece of flooring set at random areas also to catch everyone off guard. That way everytime you entered the house it could be different and exciting. Most of all scary! Also have a prize for someone or special title for completing the house.Awards for least number of times trapped and so forth. What do you think of this idea would it be a good one for the celebration or not? Please let me know what you think. |

Thanks for replying Aetarya, The first wintersday sounded lke fun and the snowball fight would be awesome. But now that you mention it ,I do recall seeing something about a festival on the home page.I only have prophecies and it seems like the boardwalk one was on factions. When I set up the poll it didn't occur to me that there were festivals too.Somehow I just knew I was leaving something out when I made the poll and at least I made a space for other in the poll. The dragon boardwalk event sounds like fun too.The carnival and rollerbeetle racing sound good. I'd like to just see the rollerbeetle racing, somehow when I try to imagine it in my head all I can come up with is Don't worry about getting into the spirit of GW go ahead and knock yourself out as far as I'm concerned Thank you for sharing your wisdom in this thread! |

Thanks for your reply Ellandra, Halloween sounds like it will be really good.I haven't seen any of the events except for some screenshots. I am eagerly awaiting to join in the fun on my first chance to play in a holiday event. Which by the way, just happens to be the Halloween event coming up. I really like Halloween and from the screenshots on GW home page It looks like a lot of fun. Don't be shy go ahead and participate in the poll! I am a new player and was just wondering which events were the best. Thank you for viewing this thread! |

Are the holiday events mainly in Factions?
Lion's Arch (General) « Guild Wars 9/01/07 2:44:20 PM
Originally posted by SerlingHello Serling, Thanks for replying ,now I understand what was going on. I started right at July 4th and when I checked to see about the July 4th event. I was looking at the Dragon Festival and that's what got me confused.I'm glad to know that my assumption was wrong ,it was just bad timing.Leave it to me to check on my first holiday event in Guild Wars and end up finding the only event tied to one specific campaign. Thanks for replying and letting me know I was wrong.I would have been really ticked if I had missed the Halloween event. From the screenshots it looks like it will be a lot of fun to play.I'm glad to see you're a fan of the event too and I will be eager to join in the event when they start it. The people here at MMORPG are awsome and so helpful with my questions. Thanks

Are the holiday events mainly in Factions?

I have noticed that most of the holiday events seem to be hosted on Factions. Is this always the case or is it just me. |

Thanks for responding Godliest, I had a friend suggest that prophecies is the best for learning how to play. I do have prophecies and do play in pre searing for now, maybe that's why I didn't think I could participate in the festivals. For those just reading the forums, pre searing is a training ground to learn how to play the game.I think pre searing is big but I've heard that it's only the begining. |

I'm new to Guild Wars and am having problems getting the game to run. Unable to Open Archive file Guild Wars is unable to access its archive file C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.dat.Please verify that this file ia accessable and writeable, and that no other programs are currently using it. I have tried to contact Guild Wars support but haven't had any luck because NC soft can't seem to find my account so that I can submit my question to their technical support. |

Is it just me or is anyone else having difficulty in communicating at LastChaos official forums?
General Discussion « LastChaos 6/17/07 7:27:48 PM
Hi, I'm still having problems with posting anything on Last Chao's home page forums. I tried to send an e-mail to the contact us option but apparently that didn't work either. |

Is there a fantasy free non-download game?
Role Playing Discussion « General Discussion 6/09/07 8:58:35 AM
Hi FTB2, There is a game called Sherwood that is a browser based RPG that is free and you don't have to download. You might want to give it a try.I believe the home site is MaidMarion.com if I'm not mistaken. It seems like you have a choice of three different warriors to be your avatar. It's been awhile since I've played it though. You start on an island with a castle and dungeon to explore. Hope this helps you in your quest. |

Last Chaos is an awsome game to play, do you think so too?
General Discussion « LastChaos 6/06/07 3:24:23 PM
Thanks for your reply Kargor, Sorry to hear that your guardian wasn't helping you that much. I think that some of the guardians get all excited and try to take on too many apprentices at once or don't let their apprentices know what times they are most likely to be on.We all know that they can't be on all the time for everyone. But if more of them would just give a ballpark time they are likely to be on then the apprentices would not be disappointed and feel left alone. We all know that we have to live our lives and emergencys or unforseen events come up to keep guardians from helping their apprentices.I don't think most of them realize this point. I can't post this on the home page forum.Because I can't post anything on the home page forum,I get logged out as soon as I choose a subject, but I can still look as a guest. But I'll try to post this on one of their fansite forums so that maybe some of them can realize this and start to communicate with their apprentices better. Sorry I didn't reply sooner but I've been playing and trying to help other players out even though I'm not able to be a guardian. You have to have a character that is level 20 or higher in order to be a guardian in case you didn't know.Hopefully they will address this problem and tell the new guardians before they let them lose in the game. They now have a wikipedia and hopefully someone will address this issue.I know I'd feel better going through the apprentice system to know what time my guardian would be on.
