_Pix_ has nothing to do with why there are no people playing this game. A pile of crap is what the game is, always has been and has not changed one bit. And yes, I am still a member of the game currently.  The problems with the entire game is that its unplayable as it is. Period.

Well 1 i did not say that _PIX_ was the reason people are not  playing this game if you read what i had posted i am saying that there are various Legal issues which involve _PIX_ not refering to him being the reason but merely that because of the legal issues  and the graphics card issues plus many other issues which i had not stated is why people are not playing, i don't find the game unplayable at all infact i find it very playable, i find it enjoyable,i find it lacking in Community which in turn i dont find it that bad as the Community that are playing are the nicest i have come across in an MMO yet so that in itself is an Enjoyment for me so what may not work for you may work for others just remember that again it is only an opinion.

To the OP if this game is what you like playing i would suggest not even trying to ask Questions about it here in these Forums as you will not find many here that like it, and with good reasons too i would imagine, but just be prepared for a lot of hate towards this game but then again once you find out the History of this title you may have a change of heart.

In Summary i will be:

Banging my head to some killer metal tunes

Kicking some ass in some other various games

Getting smashed and going willy nilly

I agree but the Specs are not specific enough i mean it more or less say's the game will run it does not say the game will run Flawlessly tho but the Arguement i would take is when the Dev said if you can Run Oblivion then you can Run this game but i could Run Oblivion on my old Machine flawlessly but cant even get this game to run on that machine so yes they need to fix these stupid Misprinted specs.

Im unsure sorry i was too busy just chasing bandits down and ransaking all there gear plus taking some hostage to sell on the slave trade :) then b4 i know it just as i was getting right into it i could not go any further with the trial as i had reached lvl 7 :(  but i will roll a new char and see if i can find out what ever you do dont visit a town if it is being raided lol got me and the villagers butt whooped :)

would that it were that easy... Even if I reinstall the game from scratch it won't run.  Believe it or not there are many people having similar problems that I'm having.   So if things are working well for you be happy :P  But if you are in the same boat as I am and you are a fan of the game enough to want to fight with it I think I'm making some headway :P

This latest hack I found on the AoC forums seems like it is really doing the trick and it was soo fast to load.

Sorry I have to totally disagree with you, what you are proposing is the same old, same old mmorpg, what I think should happen is, no weapons,( unless you were born with them) no armor, no questing, no guilds, only herds and prides and other natrual groupings, no humans, it would be about the animals and living in the enviroment, very reality based and yes educational. play a bear or even a rabbit,( playing a rabbit would be cool, imagine how fast you could be, now imagin your a hawk trying to swoop down and catch the rabbit or just hunting as wolves with your freinds and trying to figure out how to bring the black bear down. if done right you could even research the real creatures and there habits and tactics to get a clue on want to do in the game, far as I can tell, this is kinda what there making the singleplayer version like.

i have also been playing this game and it was great fun imo the graphics i thought were pretty cool i loved the arena battles but hated Jousting, would make a damn fine MMO and i would definately sub to it if it could be done.

I honestly dont know hat to tell you seems to me the more you keep playing around with stuff you probably should'nt be the worse it is getting, i would probably just re install and leave everything how it is and just play with in game options instead, just my 2 cents but hey it is up to you if you want to go messing with things.

I was gonna sit on the fence with this game even tho im having  a good experience in the Beta so far but you have Convinced me with that video thx the great effort you have gone to  to make it,ima gonna get me a preorder :)

thanks einstine, as if i didnt know about changing settings or didnt do it:P AND i didnt say dumb down the games graphics for everyone. i never said that at all. i do have a PS2, i think its being used to prop up a table or something, same thing my computer will be doing soon i guess haha.

I think i would ignore them for the time being they may be good when game releases but for this beta i dont think they apply but then again i could be wrong,have you updated all graphics drivers,directx,.net framework?

  This is the first I've heard of the matter.  I had always assumed that they would have the foresight to tack on a mild invincibility during the animation or something.  While not a major deal...it does go to kinda back the already massive suggestive mind of the haters that this team really has no &*#%ing clue how to make a game.

  I liked the ideal of fatalities....to hear that they are essentially a hindrance makes me sad :(.  Granted, I've long since lost all hope for the game...but that was one thing I still kinda liked about the concepts presented.  I expected people to say they got old...but to hear they actually guarantee your own death is, well...absurd.

Note tho that he/she said they died after they performed the fatality so obviously they were at very low health for this to happen and why should you not keep fighting all the way to the end even if some 1 sticks a sword in ya gut, a very minor flaw imo if your low on health and performing a fatality and die in the process..heh bad luck i guess.

While u perform the fatality move, mobs don't stop, they still attack you, so after you got your of your fatality animation, YOU ARE DEATH.

in PVP when i did a fatality move on another player, i saw his head fall off, and after i got back out of the fatality animation, he already killed me and i'm laying dead.

* game all instanced, and load time is about 5 min, and crash happen every 5 min on the mark.

Different for evey 1 my slowest load time was 1min 20 secs, and very minimal crashes for me.

* most of quest are buged, not working,

What game are you playing? i never got 1 bugged quest yet and i have 3 toons to lvl 13

 

* game not ready for launch, it's just like another vanguard to me. i already cancel my pre-orders ( 2 orders )

Game is not perfect i agree but i dont think this is gonna be another Vanguard at all.

* don't get me wrong, the concepts of the game are great, but not for another year untill game is playable.

Game is plenty playable just seems that some can play better than others and obviously not for you,

TBH i would be happy to only have 250k playing but i think you will be very very surprised at how well this game will do mark my words this will be the next big hit War may do better than AoC But Aion will do better than both and i have come to  this conclusion after playing both of the other beta's (only briefly with War) i have not played Aion but i can already see the game will not dissapoint i am yet to see one bad genuine comment yet.

Unortunately Processor and Video card are lacking i would suggest an upgrade but maybe you cant afford that like so many others out there we are not all made of money but yeah unfortunately your system is not good enough.

We hope you are merrily chopping off Pict heads in the Age of Conan Open Beta, and that your journey in Hyboria has been a memorable one so far. You have only seen the beginning though, as we prepare an EPIC ending to your Open Beta experience.

On the 10th of May we are transforming the entire Open Beta into PvP MAYHEM, while at the same time giving you access to all which Hyboria as to offer! That is right, as we take down our servers for a short period we are at the same time changing the entire server rule-set to Free For All PvP carnage! Your servers will ALL become PvP! Participate if you dare, or make a new character and stay in the safety of Tortage!

Details:

• All servers become PvP servers. You can kill each other – no level restrictions on killing or getting killed, but you cannot PvP in the major cities.
• All level 13 characters becomes level 20. Their inventory is wiped, but they have “tons” of money and really nice equipment suitable for level 20’s. Shopping bonanza!
• You have access to ALL zones and ALL levels after level 20!
• You will be zoned to your Race’s Hub (Cimmerians – Conarch Village, Aquilonians – Old Tarantia and Stygians – Khemi)

This means bye bye Tortage! Welcome Hyboria at large, and what a blast you will have. It all starts at level 20, and then it’s up to you, but you can be sure your fellow players will do their best to stop you!

We will get back with detailed information on the exact time it starts on the official Open Beta forums at IGN, as well as on the Age of Conan forums and community site.

You may ask, why skip levels 14-20? The reason is simple – the story. We take it seriously, and we would like for you to experience it at launch.
