Well all mmo's start out that way you need to progress to be able to appreciate it i know i felt the same when i started playing but as i progressed i became more involved much like the movies you start to watch and think omg what is this gonna be like than WHAM this shiz is the bomb it grows on you as you lvl you get more involved a feeling of growing with your character

I think alot of people are gonna be surprised when this game hits the shelfs it is going to be a big tidal wave to the mmo market and i am for 1 going to contribute my share to get this game going it is by far the best mmo since FFXI not WOW im not a WOW hater but i just dont think that that game is as hyped as people are saying and yes i have played it right up to lvl 70 and still did not captivate me like this has and i have only been playing this for 2 weeks and it just keeps getting better and better.

All i can say is that this is the best MMO out there and i will doubt that any other can get it right like this 1 has i love the fact that you have you role to play and if you dont play it well then you get owned so 10 thumbs up from me

Of couse it is better at the moment it is a finished game LOTRO is still closed beta it is going to be huge just u wait and see it is not intended for hardcore pvp just the beauty of middle earth and the folk that go with it,give it some time and it will surpass every thing that u need, if you have not been around LOTR (books) then u may be a little lost but the lore in this game is brilliant so much history to be revealed ok so this does not make the game but it shore as hell adds character to it. WOW is good but not as great as this is gonna be
The story line behind LOTRO is great and the reason it will be better is that alot of ppl have heard,read and seen LOTR and the Hobbit so now is there chance to experience it first hand and to feel like you are really part of a game makes it interesting indeed and yes the further you go in this game the better and better it becomes so get ready for a WOW onslaught, I am in no way a WOW hater but am not at all that impressed with it ,cartoon like graphics seem old to me and i know that graphics dont make the game but if i have to pay a monthly fee to play something i want it to be as visually pleasing as the gameplay itself |

Yes LOTRO is a damn good replacement for WOW BUT! there is no pvp accept in monster play which you need to be lvl 10 to play easy enough to get 2 but i think more ppl will be interested in lvling heros instead of trying to find some PVP action in monster play (although Monster play looks super cool i have been in monster play and it is very different indeed it is PVP but then you also have monster quest to complete in order to upgrade monster just as you do with Heros essentially it is just there way for you to be monster character without spoiling the main story line. so rdy your Swords Maggots cause it's time to eat some Hobbit toes.

I have been in closed beta now for about 2 weeks and i noticed that there were a few negative remarks about this game (which is healthy) but do please bare in mind that this game is still in closed beta stages for 1 more month and tell me when and were you have seen a better polished game in these stages i'll be buggered if there are or have been,
My first impressions of this game was WOW (not world of warcraft but wow cool) so the character models don't give the rest of the invireonment the respect it deserves so does that affect your game play? I personally think that the characters look fine, ok so you can't see the sweat coming from there heads but which mmo has such detail none to my knowledge ,i guess what im getting at is people are just so damn hard to please these days it is a bloody good game and far better than any other mmo that i have played so. So i keep hearing that ( oh it is just the same as WOW) no it aint and you can argue with me that it is as much as you like because if ya wanna go down that track , then WOW is just a ripp off of other mmo's (EQ2) all of these games feed from each other so none are the same nor new in any way just have new story line different graphics angine and the same old community that likes to say that it is just like WOW... For God's sake if WOW is so damn good than pls keep playing it and let us real Men and Woman play the Adult games... Sheeez |

First Impressions ... and some questions

My impressions on this game is that it is more an adventure then your typical grind fest MMORPG.
this game does get very interesting and is very party (fellowship) based, although you can solo but certain classes do handle situations better than others. The thing i love about this game is that nothing is over the top so even at lvl 15 your still using weapons that only deal a 17-25 dmg ratio making this feel like it is on the realistic side of things then being able to get some death defying super weapon. Game play can get a little frustrating at times especially seeing that mounts are only really player controllable when reaching a certain lvl thus making long journeys on foot very tedious or hopping on mounts and scooting from zone to zone to get the closest to where you have to go then going on foot again to your destination a minor glitch but still one that is a bit of a pain at times. Well i am overall very impressed with this game and it is one of the only games out on the market that i will pay for, it is not every ones cup of tea but it is certainly mine. (oh and for the WOW fans this is not really a PVP game but every other fascet of this game will give blizzard something to think about when they/if they make another MMORPG.) |

Well im giving 2 thumbs up for the review it is good to get such a review from some 1 that has spent a bit of time on it not like some noobs that spend 10 mins into a game then say "been there done that" well i meen so what if you have been there and done that have you done it as a Hobbit ? i guess not so if you are not interested then why bother posting negative thoughts because frankly we all don't wont to hear about it. The only prob that i am having with this game is that i wont get a chance to Beta test it cause last i checked was only available for nth American's (or something like that) and being all the way down here in Australia it will be on the shelf before i even get an opportunity to try first, So to heck with it let's try the thing and if it don't work then go back to what we were playing before it seems to be doing the job for us now right?
It looks good,It looks fresh, and hey you get to be a Hobbit (not my character of choice} Why not give it a go. |
