IF they can sort out the bugs and make the world feel like a living world then it will be a good game but till then it is just a bit of land with some finger happy kids thinking they are HC pvp fanatics, the main part of the game that kills it for me is the community, i stopped playing a long time ago and started a free trial last week just to see the changes, there are some really good cosmetic changes but the same ol crap still persisit in game with the tedious childish ganking and guarding games that persisited when i did play way back just during and just after beta ended.

I has great potential but will never live to that full potential till it is handled and run by a competent and professional dev team.

Actually no i am not exaggerating, and i never said it wasn't playable just not a pleasant playable experience, i have nearly my whole guild just say screw this, this is a joke, they have all experienced and so have many others the very stuff i mentioned and are sick of it, near 12 months of beta and 2 months of release and we have nothing new in game, except the multltudes of bugs they patch in every week, tell me if they were a company that had there business and the games best interest  at heart then dont you think all these bugs especially since the last patch would have been fixed?? 2 days now since the patch and none of the bugs were fixed, you tell me what the hell are they doing??

No1 can because even they do not know what they are doing, this crap will ride out till next patch where they will say we have now fixed this bug and that bug therefore making the next patch look even more uber and IF they fix them which half the time they dont there will just be another line of bugs.

like i said i'm not trying to troll here i am trying to be honest, i dont want new ppl coming to the game like this it will turn them off for good, i would rather say "Hey guys the game is starting to shape up but i wouldn't  get too excited just yet, hopefully in the next 3 months they will get the crappy stuff sorted out" then to ay hey guys this game is great you must SUB now only to have them dissapointed with the game and it's current state.

yeah it probably should and those screenshots look terrible, half of them dont even look like full graphics, the game does look good when in game even without hi res graphics enabled.

What ppl need to realize the stuff that has been added of recent is not new, this stuff was around in alpha they are just addingit now and it makes it look like they are doing great things when in reality they are just adding shit that has been made previously, YES it is good that they are adding stuff but how much shit do they break in the process?

The last patch was rediculous..cool they added a new mount that is not really new but broke so much other shit it was a joke, let me rattle off a few for ya, Whisper no longer working, frequent crashing when interacting with vendors, Catalyst prices are now absurd, crushers not working correctly, Characters running around in combat mode even tho they are not which i might add looks fucking retarded and let me name a few bugs that have been around for 1-2 months now, bugged chat box that repeats itself, Fatal errors for no reason what so ever, armor mitigation between diff types where as they all seem to mitigate the same dmg no matter what support material still bugged.

The game is getting to the point where it should have been at release but it is also getting more and more shit broke every patch, from what i can see that is happening is that they had a good solid game when it was 1 player mode but now that they are implementing stuff piece by piece in an mmo environment they DO NOT know how to fix the problems as on there 1 player test server shit works fine but on the real server it doesn't, ppl can flame me for trolling if they like but the fact remains if they knew what they were doing then the game breaking bugs that have been there since release (duping) e.t.c would and should have been fixed by now.

I have 2 active accounts with this game and tbh i am wondering why, the game has great potential and in theory sound and look great but in reality it is a broken game hanging on with the fanboys that love it so much, don't get me wrong i wanna be a fanboy but SV and Mortal are not helping my decision what so ever.

Do you have EB games or anything near by?? you should be able to get the original game cheap..and sorry i thought you meant SoM not SoA...SoA is the original game MoM is an expansion and so is SoM = Siege of Mirkwood

You will need to get the original LoTRO MoM is an expansion and you will need that too or else you wont have access to that part of the game SoA is an expansion of sorts too. I bought the original back at release and bought boxed version of MoM but downloaded the other.

To Lille7: I agree that the game is getting better.  They probably could stand to slow down a bit to ensure that each patch is as good as they can make it, but overall the game has been improving.  As long as they keep going in their current direction, the game will keep getting better and better as a fantasy sandbox MMO.

You will probably find that since the patch that was probably the only day you would have seen crap like that, after that day the numbers went back to crap again, they all only logged in to test the new shit plain and simple, the biggest force or amount of ppl in game atm are the TOP alliance which mainly comprise of a bunch of retards pretending they can fight, this video shows that with the battle with TOP/WSX vs Ascension.

There is some interesting stuff in the next few patches but i dont think they can save this game, Not Trolling here i have 2 active accounts, the game is a mess, i would love for it to be what they said we would have at release but unfort we dont, i would love for it to be a success but i honestly cant see that happening.

Lets put it this way, what you seen in that Vid is probably 75-80% of the games community, i am sure Henrik said they would need 10k subs after a few months to stay afloat..........

The thing that makes me sad about this game is that it is turning into a cluster fuck of alliances, gonna eventually get to the point that if your not in an alliance your fucked....sorry but this game is shaping into a right royal turd

Well Wessex isn;t in an alliance and we do fine for ourselves... Many more players now constantly online. It's great.

Well you can say your not in an alliance, maybe not officially but if you tend to hang around certain large groups of people for extended amounts of time then yeah your pretty much in an alliance of sorts, and come on Many more players constantly online??? i need to go where your at, because when i logged in tonight for the first 2 hours there was 3 ppl in town...3 god damn ppl, lol in  pretty darn major town in game (Fabernum) ran to Meduli, (another major Town/city)  wasn't much better, maybe 5 no 1 in between, get back to Fab BAM now we have 4 lololololol c'mon like i said before i am not trolling i am saying it how it is, i'm sorry but i have not seen anymore ppl stay after the last patch to what was there before it.

I want it to be more like that Vid all the time, but only a small portion of ppl are enjoying it right now, not even the PK guilds are pking lol because there are hardly any of them playing

I never said that it was a practical idea that would be in-line with the effort involved in building it in the first place. He just asked for an alternative idea... even a bad idea is an alternative idea. I'm sure that people actually playing the game could come up with a better alternative that doesnt' involve granting ownership of game territory.

 

To me the current system will also kill off the idea of exploring and just create pockets of population unwilling to move about Nave. That in essence is what Territory Control means to me.

 

My original point was that the current system alienates the smaller guilds and solo players in an already restrictive environment for said smaller guilds / solo players.

This feature is end game content, what they need to do is fix the game before worrying about endgame content.

The better system to have in place imo atm would have been a central NPC controlled tower or something, like DAOC which guilds can fight over, atm to me this does not promote more PvP than it would originally instead it just gives guilds power in a sense over the small guys already struggling to keep up with hacking or duping.

 Sorry to hear that, but it is the direction that they were intending to take the game for quite some time now.  For the moment at least, a guild can only control one region, so there wont be "mega-guilds" controlling the entire game world. 

Also, each guild can only own one keep and each zone can have multiple keeps so there is always the possibility of the guilds owning the other keeps in the zone to take it by force.  I also suspect that some guilds will take the RP road and use politics to have people keep voting them into power, not ruling by dictatorship.  If that's the case then they'll have to keep their subjects happy -- meaning it'd be a good idea to build your house in their zone.

Yes Guilds can own multiple Keeps, all they have to do is have some 1 else from that same guild have ownership.

TBh yes it is a nice feature but it is not needed right now, some may say i am wrong but the population numbers will tell otherwise, unfortunately there is not enough ppl playing atm for this feature to be the slightest bit worthy of being in the game, this is the way i see it panning out unless they implement something that will actually bring players back.

Guild (Alliance) takes control of an area, ppl with houses don't like guild or are allied with other guilds not in the area, they try to sell house and move elsewhere.....no 1 buys the house because there is hardly any body playing to game let alone some 1 with money to be able to afford it...IF this is a lone player or a small guild that doesn't want to be part of what will turn out to be a 2 maybe 3 Alliance based game then they will either have a hard time competing and quit or they will stubbornly suck it up and try to do there best without any real gain in the game.

Or the ppl who are duping in game will just snap it up and give to controlling guild which will probably never actually use it making it a redundant peice of crap in the game world.

I'm not trying to troll here i am just stating what i feel is happening and will happen in game in the very near future if they don't do something worthwhile to bring this game back, ppl can say oh it has only been out for 2 months blah blah blah.......We have been playing this same crap for nearly a year now since early beta, the only thing new since early CB is a few features that half work at best, the only thing to do in this game atm imo is PvP which is all good, BUT you need ppl to PvP with, i really dont fancy going to the same god damn area fighting the same god damn ppl everyday, this is not the Sandbox game i sighned up for..

In short guys this game is struggling and althouhg the last few patches have brought some neat fluff to the game it is still the same dull game it was 12 months ago with new bugs every patch and not really and returning players i am not so sure of the future of MO....tis sad really

Hi guys not sure if this has been posted or not, couldn't find anything, 

For those who are playing i have come across an error when i start the client it starts updating then i just get a Blank error message, no point in posting a screen shot as it is blank lol, but seeing that the game has just begun CB and there is no forums or support i was wondering if any 1 here has come across this and has a fix for it??

BUT at the same time we need not forget that there are new faces coming to MMO's all the time and if a new face is willing to try out GW2 because it looks cool (seems to be the trend these days, forget the gameplay, just have epic graphics yada yada yada..i think you know what i mean)  then they may never even give GW a thought and you never know GW may be the very thing they are looking for thus potentially gaining more ppl playing it and keeping it alive which in turn may drag these ppl back to GW2 in the future...you get what i am saying?

But yeah they do need to get money from somewhere, maybe they should give the original game for free to pre-order purchases or something so they are not handing out millions of free copies but then again if it could mean the end for GW (which it wont) why would it matter of they give a few for free. 

I would say probably for the same reason blokes dont play blokes lol...because for the most part they are just hideous or they look a tad bit on the gay side....now is it more gay to play a full blown girl or to play a tad bit gay looking guy...i don't know really

But being honest i would have to say it is because most girls play a toon that in a way represents them where as guys play toons they please them visually, so it is a couple of things in my mind, they like to perv at computer animated characters because they are a little bit on the sad side in real life or they play girl toon because that is what they wished there girlfriend/ dog /horse looked like either way it is still sad.

TBH i think the problem that is arising here is that they changed the billing section slightly so i am assuming with them doing that it did not set you sub to not reknew, OR you did not set it to not renkew in the account section of the main forums...yes i know you should have been the one that actually set it to either reknew or not renkew but i think when you pre ordered the game it is set on reknew automatically, sucks i know but are they accountable for this or the person who holds the account??

When does the actual CB start? maybe connections are being deliberately throttled?? who know's but like others have said you got an invite, suck it and be happy that you even will be able to test it, heck i got no invite but i can tell you this if i did get one i wouldn't be whining like some of you in here because your client does not download fast enough.

Just relax and let it do it's thing, go play another game, take a walk, get laid i don't care but please stop complaining because you have lousy download speeds to a game that plenty of us would love to test but can't and just rubbing it in that you will soon be able to play.

I have tried this game and as an Adult i can say it was fun as hell lol, not sure how long that fun will last but with what they say they will implement then it can be a sure hit pass time game for sure, How it will work as an MMO who knows but it sure was better than any of the other kiddie like MMO's out there and tbh probably better than some of the more serious one's.

Personally i think it is a good idea, just remember  not  all of us use macro's or scripts, heck tbh i am a total noob and wouldn't know how to do one, so some of us actually had to be there typing, feed....stay...feed....stay e.t.c and believe me there is no fun to be had in that.

Some skills i believe you should not have to read a book on like Jumping, Foot speed (waliking), Swimming (maybe an initial     book to get basic knowledge) or sprinting as these are everyday things most of us do.

For example i think the lowest age a char can be in game is 22 so what the fuck has he been doing the last 22 years??? sitting on his ass dragging himself along the ground lol, He should already know how to walk, i am sure he/she would have Sprinted sometime in there life.

 The only skills you gain atm in game without reading a book and by learning just by doing is with melee/Ranged weapons, you pick up a weapon, equip it then use it you start getting skill in it.

Good move for this particular skill but get rid of some of the bloody obvious ones.
