Hey, I was just wondering what the best casual mmo's are. I just don't have any time to invest on week days (high school and all) and so I just need a game I can put in a bit of time here and there and not miss out on the best parts. I also have an unactive account for DnD which I played for a bit, but I hear its not the most casual friendly game. Any help would be appreciated!

crappy graphic masked in blo0m and glow effect

How is that GE game? I got into the closed beta and all that, but I didn't really try it out much upon finding out that there isn't any character customization I lost interest. Is it worth playing still?

I have to admit I do like PvE, just not endgame PvE. And I also like crafting these "pants" that keep being mentioned. Am I still going to play to game? Of course, it shall be amazing, it just won't be everyones cup of tea.

Don't worry about the date on Anarchy Online, every year it gets pushed back

WAR is giving the unbalanced sides in the latter RvR fights (for the life of me I can't remember what there called right now, oh well) something called the "dogs of war", npcs that fight for your side and supposedly aren't just meat shields, their smart and fight and all that good jazz, but just don't expect them to replace actual players overall skill.

Positives of WAR- Art style art style art style! I absolutly love this games graphics and all that. Not item centered- My one real turn off from WoW, I didn't have the motivation or the time to raid all night. I guess I like seeing my family and the sun too much. Unique classes for each race- Finally a game where there aren't the same classes for every single race. I like how they acually seemed to put time and detication into all races and classes instead of just copying each class and making races slightly different hummanoids. These are the features that I really like about this game and what really attract me to it. I really hope the servers are kind of small and so this time around I can just be a deticated member and all that. Will WAR be the better game? Yes hands down. But will it attract more subscribers? I don't really know. (Sorry for the rant/ nonsense) |

So im bored as hell and was thinking about going back to WOW...
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 2/13/07 6:55:51 PM
Yeah I played WoW for about a year and a half until the whole completly item basedness got to me, I just didn't care about raiding or selling my soul for items. Just last week the guy who I always used to play with resubscribed, dooming me to my fate sooner or later. Its a good game yes, but it definetly wears on, especially since ever other warrior or druid is just like my character. I'll fight it for a while and try to hold out until WAR, the salvation of all of us who grudgingly go back to the beat WoW, but who knows? Maybe CoH/CoV will be sweet, maybe Guild Wars will hold my interest. Try and stay strong and keep looking, WoW still won't be what you wanted even if it is amazing in some way. |

Yes I will most likely by buying this game (probably pre-ordering actually)
It just looks so beautiful and unique, I love the whole cartoony/realistic graphics, along with the great art style. Also the races and different classes really intrigues me, finally I won't be fighting a clone of myself on a different side. In the end this game could turn out to be terrible, but I choose to hope! I so hyped about this so please do not disappoint WAR! |

The biggest turn off for me in any game is art/graphical style, and so I have to turn down AoC. It is incredibly beautiful, yes (and my system could run it nicely!) but the ultra realistic every other realistic mmo style just doesn't work for me. I love WAR's beautiful if not amazing cartoon graphics and all the design that went into giving each race individuality. The whole 4 unique classes for each race is also such a great idea, I like that I won't have to be fighting my clone warrior or anything. So yes, I'll be playing WAR from day 1.

I need a new MMO, what do you think I should be playing?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 2/12/07 7:09:19 PM
This posts are annoying I know, but I've become desperate/lazy as of late and so am turning to these message boards. I was just wondering what mmo's are out right now worth playing. I used to play WoW, and it got me hooked into this genre, but WoW was too time consuming in the end. So my question is this: are there any games currently out that are great fun and all, but not crazy time consuming, gear dependent, etc. I'll even consider going back to WoW with some convincing now that BC is out. Or should I just wait until WAR comes out in a few months? Thanks for any and all help, sorry this post was poorly written and rants on.

Beta Testing, What's the Secret to "Get In"
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 2/12/07 7:03:48 PM
In all seriousness none of these things have ever worked for me. No beta that wasn't a cash shop/ brought over korean game has ever invited me. I try to be an active community member, I have a $3600 gaming computer, and all the jazz that goes along with that. I guess I just really am unlucky, but ah well as long as I get into WAR I think I'll be fine.

Yeah that might be true but well see what happens at launch day, since the whole population of the game isn't going to be with us talking about it 6m-1y in advance.

Hey, I'm really excited about this game but was just wondering about crafting or if its even going to be in this game. I would still play it and all, it's just nice to be able to craft your own sharp objects, brew potions, etc. Any hints or word on crafting would be appreciated!

I really would like to play a chaos marauder or a orc choppa, but chaos is most likely going to be overpopulated, and I'd like to be on the underdog side personally. In the end I'll probably end up playing order since my friends will most likely roll characters on that side. Heres hoping for greenskins!
