If the character models are so bad in Vanguard, yet way above Warcraft. Why then are 11 million subs in warcraft if character models are so important?
 

Other reasons may account for the lack of subscribers but an Ugly game is it FAR FROM.

I've played EQ and EQ2, and I think their character models look better then WoW, which I am playing now. WoW's models look good at a distance, but when you stand face to face with them, they kind of look like a child colored their faces. I do like the game, don't get me wrong, but it's more cartoony then anything. I haven't played VG, just seen screenshots and the models look good from what I've seen. I might try the free trial, and if I like it I'll by it since it is so cheap now, and use the 30 free days from that to see if I'll continue to like it.

Too  many people play a game based on looks instead of gameplay. I like gameplay before looks, if both are in the game, great.

I don't believe they actually took out CR's, they just gave you a choice if you wanted to or not, and obviously you didn't want to, or you would still do it.

I vote EQ, no matter what is on the list. However you are a douche for not including other games, as already mentioned, because there are not to many that would vote for any of these SoE published games. I'm guessing any game you play your toon is a Troll, John.

I'm willing to bet that on the RP server, that they would stick to RP only. I know on my server alot of people only RP.

GODDAMNIT! I just bought SoF last week and re-activated my account. Oh well it was still pretty much free, paid with Best Buy Reward Zone certificates. Well at least the EQII stuff will be free.

If I'm not mistaken, they gave you a playable race in an update patch, for free, after EoF was released.

The last time I was on, I've been helped out several times by high level  characters without having to ask. Everyone I've met happy to help with buffs often time refusing donations, always willing to answer questions, or take you where you wanna go.

All I"m saying is, for people wanting to try it for the first time , or first time in a long time, don't let a few bad stinky worms spoil it all because the majority of people are nice.

What server were you on? Been a couple months since I've played, but I have'nt experienced that on The Rathe.

Try turning it off completely and restart it, if that works, when keys are available it will make a sound and a window will pop up with a link to click, keep refreshing that page till it gives you a key or says keys distrubuted.

I think you have to pay $15 for a mag sub.

Am I excited to play AoC? Yes, I went to Fileplanet, paid 7 dollars for something I find to enjoy besides just wanting to try AoC and will probably keep my Fileplanet account, downloaded the Comrade and went turkey hunting. I got home and after an hour heard a ding, went to my pc and saw to click for a key, I click got a key and started downloading. Where is the camping in that?

I did the pre-order a few weeks back and I am very happy. The thing is AoC will run on almost any rig. It's been proven in BETA. Now I will say that to get the most out of the game from a visual standpoint, the better your rig the more enjoyment you will have.

In the end, you can still have fun playing one badass game no matter what you are running.

I have the Phenom 9500 2.2ghz, I haven't done anything to tweak it, but it seems to run good for me. I have it on an Asus M3A32-MVP mobo running 2 gigs of ram, cooling it with  the Ultra Chill Tec cooler. Hottest its gotten was 89*f playing EQ2 for a couple hours. I'm also using a EVGA 8800 GT Superclocked graphics card.

I just started playing again and got my Wife a box to try and play also. I think you would do fine teaching your girl on this game. Just so your girl isn't my girl, Sancho.

I only played in the beta, so not much help except I thought it was boring, neat to look at but boring.  Also, which it may have been fixed by now, when the toons run it looked like they were clenching a turtle head from coming out there ass anymore trying to make it to the bathroom. That bothered me alot.

I would'nt think it has gotten much more fun in the couple months it has been out, I'm going to go buy EQII today  and try it again, you should do the same. Or if you're still interested in LOTRO isn't there a buddy key so you can try it?
