Thinking positive, and having hope for the future is not the same as confidence. Confidence is something you should have in something once you know it well. No one (outside Adventurine) knows Darkfall well.

But I'll tell you what I do have confidence in. I have confidence in the fact that haters and fanbois alike are wasting their energy squabbling amongst each other, over a GAME. Just thought I'd remind everyone this is a damn GAME, not the catalyst to bring about salvation or apocalypse. I have the same hopes as many others, that this game may actually be good once they decide to release, and if not, big deal, life goes on. I, just like many others, am sick to death of the mainstream carebear trash thats been regurgitated by our once beloved industry as of late. So in effect I am quite confused about the naysayers side of the argument, do you really not want this sort of open-ended game to succeed? Do you want every game that comes out to continue to be Wow and EQ clones?

Also, on the flipside of the issue, the overly protective fanbois who sometimes make things up to defend the game are just as bad as the doom-and-gloomers. Please fanbois, calm down, you are making the rest of us who are patiently awaiting this game look bad. I do not want to be lumped into this crowd or the former.

I shall continue to remain neutral until this game is actually playable, and refuse to feed into either side of this unessesary forum feud. Goood day ladies and gentlemen.

Lol Archlord is in no way anything even remotely similar to wow. Other than the fact that they are both mmo's with a leveling system. If you want a much more accurate comparison, I would say Archlord is more like Lineage 2 and its many clones (of which Archlord is one). It's a decent game not too bad not too good. You could  definately do worse than Archlord, and I'd say it's up in the top 10 for free mmos.

Perhaps maybe it is because these people are only human?

Very true, but.........he does have a point. It is well known that a lot of people who still play SWG do so because it's the only SW mmo in town. I am one of these people. I am not presumptuous enough to make a wild guess like a lot of the dead horse beaters on here though. I guess only time will tell........

Makes me kinda sad actually.

While single player games have rarely been better then right now, both on my PC and 360, MMORPGs are, frankly, just rubbish now.

Lowest learning curve (for the largest customer base) ez mode anti-social solo quest grinders with mindless zerg PvP? No thanks.

Some are already released, and some are releasing before the end of the year.
 

Eve Online, Atlantica Online, and my shiny new copy of Fallout 3.

It's a good thing you can play it offline as well, kinda lessens the blow of the servers going down. Maybe an emu or something in the future, so we can play online again here in NA? But for all intents and purposes, R.I.P Hellgate London (for now).

Drones are okay but you will need gun skills or missile skills to supplement them and add to your damage. In missions you have to know how NPC rat aggro works and which missions have NPC rats who instant aggro your drones, or trigger new waves of rats, and how to kill those rats without losing your drones. For PvP you need to know when to deploy drones and which drones to deploy. IMHO guns and missiles are better alternatives then to go strictly drones all the way. A combination of both are always good though.

I agree. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Make sure you have decent gunnery and/or missile skills to go along with your drone skills. If your drones are killed and you have no other combat skills built up, you're pretty much toast.
 

Aren't they currently working on a graphics update on this game? That's what i heard.

I just kinda stumbled upon this game. It looks interesting. I think I'm gonna give the trial a spin.

Yes it is definately still in a league of its own. It fills the niche for those who have that hardcore pvp itch.

I'll admit, leveling in this game is like running against the wind, uphill, with one leg. But the pvp is pretty good, and the whole Archlord feature is a cool novelty. An average game in my opinion not terrible and not great either. Plenty of people to group with at all times, which I'm sure is partially due to it being free. Should have been free to begin with though, I feel sorry for those who payed at the beginning.

They've added sieges and new areas,  new Archlord powers, two new classes, and a brand new pvp server that opened up a few days ago. That's all I can think of right now.
